I passed my road test yesterday here in central Texas. It wouldn’t be possible without your help. Thank you for your informative videos. I came to the US 5 months ago and although I already had my driver license back in my country the roads and the rules here seemed different. Now I am more confident when driving. After taking my test in Cleveland, Ohio today I just have to say I now know why there are so many terrible drivers on the road. I literally swapped lanes 2 times and made 4 right turns after the maneuverability test and I was done. Whole thing took like 5 minutes. When the examiner told me to pull back into the DMV parking lot I even asked him if that was really all. I passed btw after watching 2 of these videos last night.

I failed my drivers test because I didn't know my turn signal was still going... about a block down the road before I noticed. I made a few turns too wide and went over the center line. Hoping things go smoother for my second attempt 🙏

Question for making left turns.
If you're at an intersection & it's your turn to make a left turn but your view is blocked even when slowly inching & turning the wheel can you just wait until the cars infront of you making their left turn moves out of your way? Lots of people give the advice of moving slowly & turning your wheel "until" you can see... but often times there is no "until" & you just cannot see unless the cars directly infront of you also making their left turn moves out of your way, I understand there are cars behind who might want you to just make the turn, & will honk, but their impatience shouldn't force people to make blind turns & take the risk, to me it seems like the safest thing to do yet so many times I've driven with people making left turns they say "ugh I can't see anything" then they proceed to make a blind left turn, so blind left turns really do seem to be much more common than waiting until the parallel cars leave a clear view.
I don't like the idea of making blind turns, & from a drivers seet perspective I don't believe inching forward & turning the wheels provides a safe enough view (the most you can see is a car that is at the cross walk line, so 1 car, but nothing beyond that, which is too risky)
These videos have helped me sooo much just as a refresher for my class 5 ('full' license in BC). Just passed! Thanks a bunch for making these!!!
I think a lot of ppl who are used to driving will forget to do things like full on, head turning shoulder checks and generally making good observations, so this was great!

Hello, I have a question : After we turn right, these is a merge symbols immediately and we can see the merge symbols when we make the right turn. Should we turn right on the rightest lane then we change lane cause the merge symbols. Or we can directly turn right to the lane without merge symbols. Thank you very much.
Awesome Rick and Dang they said that there gonna stop doing the covid-19 driving test in July in Georgia And my test is in August so that means I got to take the regular driving test so I'm even more nervous but I'm really just ready to get it over with now💯🙏

Yes I took my test last week here in Ohio and it’s a road test and the maneuverability with cones.

Hi I got a question I got my provisional license at age 20 and it expires in 3 months what should I do ? Do I get a new one sent or I get my full license?
Take my test Monday and it looks highly likely that windshield wipers will be primary controls for my test as it will probably be raining on my test Monday.

@@smartdrivetest thank you I do know how that all works. Just an interesting note that sometimes there are secondary controls that will become primary controls depending on the environmental conditions you are driving in at the time of your test

Hey Rick, what do you do if the intersection lights go out and there's more than one lane?
Regularly it's simple if there's only one lane you treat it like a 4 way stop, but when there's more than one lane then everyone is arriving at different times.

me watching this in April 2022 and shocked seeing the gas price in the video was 131.9
Colorado is still having driving schools do it rather than the DMV

If you do good enough on the rest of your test you can completely fail parrallel parking and still pass.

I seriously got denied road test after waiting 2 hours in car wearing mask just Because I took my mask down while sitting alone to drink water, as soon as instructor saw me he said to give him my ticket (so no one else can take me) and told me to wait as he can’t take my test anymore yet, I waited so long, anyone I asked said just wait so after waiting 3 hrs at the place I went home without test wasting 5 6 hours from going there waiting and coming back along with $300 that i paid my driving school along with 50 test fees and 50 booking fees the agency I used took, I seriously cried out of embarrassment And treatment I got just Because of a small mistake I did, beware of the black guy at Hamilton drive test. He is so rude, when I asked him I’ve waited two hours already as he told me to he gave me a shrug/Cold shoulder and said then keep waiting, Like I was his enemy or something idk what happened but I haven’t seen any place so rude and disrespectful than Hamilton test drive
