This is one of the best reviews I have ever seen
This review made me buy it lol a year later -Great work man
Thanks for a great review!
Awesome review, exactly what I was looking for thanks so much.
Thank you for these clear explanations
Thank you very informative 👍
Thank you so much. Now I understand this thing a lot better 😌
Thanks for watching?
Been a minute Tman, welcome back 🥳
Thanks Zakes!! 🙏🏾 I missed this too 🤣
Thank you so much for this, I have the Gizzu UPS it's been helpful , thinking of investing in this too...
The Gizzu UPS is great! That was one of my first Gizzu purchases. Thanks for watching!
Thanks, Themba. My 155w has just been delivered. You've helped me understand it better.
WHAT THE POINT? LOL you cna power a laptop or tv (one of them) for just 3 hours lol.
@@KAIZORIANEMPIRE I hear you. Fortunately I've evolved beyond the need for South Africa's TV services, whether from the national broadcaster or the overpriced, substandard cable provider. Furthermore, I only use the Gizzu when my laptop runs down - I can get +5 hours out of it when I use it non-stop. Additionally, I'm not a juvenile who wastes time gaming, so my laptop serves its purpose as a workhorse. Finally, when the fibre goes during loadshedding I have portable WiFi to meet my needs for work and entertainment streaming. I will admit to being a slave to Netflix and RUclips but that is a deficiency I will confess to having in my character. No doubt you can tell what my interests REALLY are by my avatar.
How is it performing 7 months later? I want to get one for my laptop and router but having doubts about 150W
@@SeboleloKhanyela It has been a lifesaver for us, especially when there was cable theft in our area! I would, however, suggest purchasing a bigger model, or the Gizzu UPS for powering the router (cable theft necessitated the additional purchase). The 150w keeps my laptop and portable wifi running when loadhshedding hits at work, so it is more than paying for itself. However, to run your laptop and your router, I'd suggest a bigger one. I am still very happy with mine, though.
I recently bought one from takealot it powers ON but when we have loadshedding it doesn't come ON which is really strange and its very NEW and I suspect it also took out my Gizzu UPS which not charging now
Instead of this buy the Yoobao en700 is the same price but 700 charges in 1 hour with 200 watts extra
My power switch and plug in switch is broken can I have it repaired
Themba my phone is super fast charging at 66watts, does it support fast charging? I've also been checking out one from the brand Titan
That’s a beast of a phone bro, most iPhones peak at about 27W. Anyway, the portable power station has a PD port rated at 45W. I believe that’s still very fast for the majority of people. 😅
@@thembakhanye yeah man powerful staff, it takes 40 min from 0 to 100%. So eish 45 watts is not ideal. I'll check out the Titan one🤝
Just plug the original charging brick into the gizzu. It will charge at 66w
whats the model?
Hi, mine is currently not charging it's showing E05 error code but it's fully charged 100 %.
Hi Busi, I’ve never experienced that before. Have you reached out to Syntech? They are always very helpful on the phone. www.syntech.co.za/
I spoke to Gizzu yesterday, they said they can’t replace these units batteries as they are not allowed to import the batteries into the country 😔
That’s very inconsistent with what they told me.
@@thembakhanye wanted to buy a battery as they have a long shelf life, don’t know where to get compatible battery. Hope I can find one
Can i connect to an extra battery?
yes of course but you can reach out to me for advice on how to get maximum power. The normal battery 12 v will only charge it up to 100 watts per hour... meaning you can only use one or two appliances, like a tv and laptop. if you want more power you can connect two 12 volt batteries in series to make it 24 volt meaning you could get 200 wats an hour into your system.. or you can buy a step up volt converter for $20 lol to convert 12 volt to 24 volt and get the same effect.
Has anyone had success on a battery replacement on one of these devices?
I haven’t had to replace my any of my batteries yet. Have u reached out to the manufacturer?
I have seen bad reviews about it and many don't recommend it at all.
Really bro, bathi what's wrong with it?
I’m planning on doing a battery drain test, and a battery charge test. It would be interesting to see what challenges people are experiencing so I can try and help where possible 🙏🏾
Mine had its first proper run today - powered my 8gb laptop from 7% to 100% in one hour. I'm pretty impressed by that - damned faster than Eskom!
I got this thing for over 1 year and it's working 100%
Those bad reviews are people who are misusing it.
Does the unit make a fan noise when charging?
It shouldn’t make noise when it’s charging. Were you charging and using it at the same time? 🤔
@@thembakhanye no, just charging. But the fan was on from when we started charging. It’s brand new as we bought it yesterday
You have to switch it off then it won’t make the fan noise
Mine entered “self-preservation mode” I can’t seem to figure out how to use it now😢
Got it to work?
IT'S CHEAPER TO JUST BUY A VERY CHEAP 200 AH GEL BATTERY AND BUY A "DUAL INVERTER CHARGER", YOU CAN GET THOSE FOR $180 OR LESS, AND THAT'S 2400 WATT HOURS, DOUBLE THIS ONE, AND FRACTION OF THE PRICE.
Boss the gel battery is rubbish. My battery died in 6 months on the mecer inverter I purchased. 9k wasted. Loadshedding gave it a beating. The gizzu is running for over 1 year and still lasts. Why ? Because it's a Lithium battery. Lithium is king.
yeah and it's 300ma h, whichis nothing, i would rather my battery die 6 months in than have a crusty capacity@@thephotoswindler
