(LEGENDS & TALES) The Ghosts of San Francisco Presidio | Haunted California Ghost Stories |

With how old San Francisco Presidio is, I am not surprised that there are a bunch of ghost stories attached to the area. This area was a military base for three countries over the centuries...first Spain, then Mexico, and finally USA. With all that military history, I am not surprised to hear most of the ghost wandering around the place are soldiers. What is cool is that there are three different types of ghosts soldiers seen in the area, and it is said they don't even know they are gone and still wander the area as if they are still alive in the era they were born in! Isn't that interesting?

I work behind the tesla building on vaness i get in to work at 5am but some days i get up earlier and drive out to the presidio around 3:30-4am just to explore around and i drive around hoping to catch anything paranormal but as of yet nothing 😭

I have experienced ghosts and other spirits. I think they are an important part of our world and sometimes our lives. They mostly watch and guide us, and tell us their stories to keep them from recurring.
One of these days, I'd like to tell you my experiences. Some of my experiences are shared experiences.
All I can add to this for the meantime is, although we do have extra sensory capabilities, sometimes the ghosts just appear to us personally, on their own accord. They're also pretty careful with approaching people, just like we are to them-but moreso because of the energy and thoughts we carry. Obviously a very good reason as to why some dwell in more silent areas.
Also, that not all spirits are disembodied ghosts of the deceased. Some are elementals, some are of another kind of spirit, and don't believe that all wandering spirits are demons cause that's ideological bullshit from those who just want to come up with their own comfort logic. In fact, it's very harmful to categorize spirits into one bunch cause some spirits may actually be ones protecting you or preventing ill fate from seeping out of a haunted location. Sometimes they also ensure the holiness of certain grounds whatever way they can.
When exploring spirits, one must be open minded and really try to observe while discovering. Also, spirits must be treated the same way as people. Still, be careful when interacting with spirits, but also pay them love and respect.
Lastly, keep away from folks who provoke spirits. They are simply morons that carry bad karma and quite often harm spiritual spaces.
