This build looks really interesting and I am gonna try it, but the biggest tip in the video is putting all the equipment in a bag - I feel so dumb for selling it all now I want to respec and outfit new characters.
take warlock and thief multiclass , you add to that the band of the mystic scoundrel it become super OP . thank you and good job for picking that item , few people talk about it and its one my favorite item in the game .
Shadowheart build that is my go to has a little rogue and a little warlock so she can sneak attack from darkness. That combined with the shar gear you get for one of the decisions in her quest in act two is really powerful
Wish they never patched sneak attacking with spells. Even in 5e I think it's bullshit to not allow it. Darkness best for Warlock with devils site at 2nd level. You don't need to misty step if youre sitting in darkness.
A note on assassins, if you open the combat with an attack you get your extra attack and then still get your action back, so 4 attacks on turn 1. Maybe a bug, but that's how it's been working for me.
I've been cooking up a shadow monk 6 warlock 2, rogue 4 build that is suuuper fun for darkness exploits :) have shadowheart running it while I also cover her with my sorlock thats also utilizing magical dark sight and darkness so we just control the entire space and can blast people around with elderitch blasts or assassinate them with melee. Still toying around on using hill giants and maybe even using lifedrinker as one of my innovations with hex to suuper pump guys.
I don't rly get why pact of blade... sorry for the dumb question i'm a beginner but it seams impossible to pact of blade a ranged weapon, which is, correct me if i'm wrong, our main damage source isnt it? So what the actual point of Pact of Blade? Thanks
I'd personally pick 2 fighter over 2 barb for action surge, or even another 2 rogue levels for 4d6 sneak attack at rogue 7, assuming the goal is to play as a charismatic assassin.
the reason cloud of daggers is the best level 2 damaging spell is because there is no saving throw, AND whoever you cast it on takes the damage twice (when you cast it + at the start of their next turn) 8d4 slashing damage for a 2nd level spell is really good. also i believe it's magical slashing damage which is resisted less
I was really interested in doing something like this, but don't really know how to approach the game as assassin because I would want to use this for my player character and don't really want to not get the dialogue before fights that often happens
awesome 🔥 my current tactician run astarion is something like this! BTW what are your thoughts on war domain cleric? I specced Shadowheart into that with a focus on con save throws, so she can help in melee. Are there any must-have multiclass options for war cleric?
Thanks Eli! The War Cleric actually pairs really well with any martial class like fighter/paladin etc. I personally like 11 fighter 1 war cleric but you can also go higher in war cleric and it’ll be strong
@@JasonDunna i like start one level fighter because constitution saving throw and two weapon fighting (dual crossbows and shortwords) fucking cool build you can same time lockpicking and face of the party 🤩

Hahaha it keeps things organized that’s for sure!

The band of the mystic scoundrel is seriously so good, I use it every playthrough !

Oo I like it! Darkness shenanigans are so fun and can make for some unique combat encounters

Yeah I wish we could sneak attack spells! Would make some builds really interesting
Sneak attack is a misnomer.
This build is very good for Dark Urge)

Wait what?? I’ve only ever had it refund the action I took to initiate combat, how do you do it that way?
I like this build with 6/4/2 warlock, rogue, fighter
That’s a solid one! Action surge is so good

Yea it’s a pretty decent spell, you can also put poison bottles on the ground and break them with it too

Yeah it’s best for a second playthrough so you know how to approach certain combat encounters!
What are some early game gear?
Is your character's appearance a mod? looks amazing.
Nope! I make all my characters without mods so if others want it to look similar they can!
What armor is that?
It’s the Wavemother’s robe!

We need to do half-elf?
Nope! Take whatever you fancy
@@JasonDunna Great thank you i will try it
I like more archfey warlock because roleplay and level 6 misty step features ❤❤
@@balduri45 totally fair! You can go that route too

i wish they had more of the same abilities that weapons/ armor do, when playing co-op ususally we all need the same weapon or armor... idk.
You can make any armor work in this game really, it isn’t super difficult that you need to min-max
