  • Making some greaves or vambraces from this stuff could be interesting. I hope it will be lighter than steel, because every gram you put out there on your limbs tires you out twice as fast as somewhere on your torso. For torso armor I would go for scale armor, because you'd need an awful lot a wax in a giant kettle to get a torso sized piece boiled.

Following the example of high-tech bullet proof glass, I would layer the beeswax leather on top of and laminated to the boiled leather. Have you thought about using hot oil?

I have not tried hot Oil. But I have found a website, of someone who did way more testing than me. medium.com/@jasontimmermans/a-comparative-study-of-leather-hardening-techniques-16-methods-tested-and-novel-approaches-8574e571f619

Would leather treated in hot wax be more resistant to tearing?

Maybe a bit, because more fibres are stuck together. But leather is already very resistant to tearing.

Waxed leather will destroy any other leather it comes in contact with for any extended length of time. I.E. leather car seats.
