Those look great! You would never know those haven't been broken in and formed over for many months. 😎

Yeah it's a pretty effective way to make your holster fit your firearm like a glove. Thanks for watching

Impressive! Always have a hard time looking for that perfect holster, now if I find one thats not a perfect fit, I'm dunking it in the hot water!!

Hey Rob! Just spending a lazy Saturday getting caught up on your videos, had shoulder surgery last week and I’m really enjoying passing the time watching them. After watching the Big Texas holsters I just ordered one for my Wrangler! Thanks for all your great videos!

Looks great Rob! I’ve done that with a lot of knife sheaths but never took on a holster.

The holsters look great! There is a product that Tandy sells (Fiebing brand) called Resolene, it's an acrylic sealer. You might try that as well and get a nice finish and a stiffness too.

Two questions if you've got the time. When I converted my Colt Police Positive to fit my Bearcat I repeated the hot water process twice because I was getting so much tobacco tar out. Now I'm afraid I've got it too dry. It's an old holster and the strap is cracking. What oil might I add to put a little back in. Also where do you buy Big Texas holsters. I've got a Single Ten that I'm wanting to start carrying. Appreciate it.

Neets foot oil, or saddle soap and Big Texas leather holsters are sold on Etsy. It's a one man operation so John will make a bunch sell them all out and shut down store to make more. So if it says temporarily on a break just keep checking back.

Too bad you didnt explain wet molding...did you just make it wet, did you use something, or just water, did you dry it in the oven or just on your table?...

    • @HamiltonOutdoors

Just warm water and put the gun in it wrapped in foil or Saran wrap. And let it air dry

You showed us nothing about hardening the holsters

The use of the warm to hot water does the Harding hotter the water the harder the leather.
