    I've had this for about a year and i love it. I connect my PC, ps5, phone, and oculus quest 2 at the same time. my only problem was the price

    • @WillRiggins
      @WillRiggins 10 месяцев назад

      @AlternativeLine they do have a ps and Xbox version ( they're all the same headset they just did it for branding deals) and you have 2 USB ports in the back to the ps5 and pc. Them you have the Bluetooth that can connect to the phone and/or quest

      You can use them with your quest 2? Wouldn’t they feel insecure or something ? Especially playing a game like blade and sorcery

    When you dial these things in with Engine/Sonar, or even the Dac, they sound 100% just as good as any “proper” headphone out there. The sound on these things are brilliant. I’ve tried the Apple AirPods Max, Bose QuietComfort Ultras, Sony XM5s, Soundcore, Beats…these Arctis Nova Pro’s will go toe to toe with each one of those from an audio standpoint. Then you get the added benefit of decent ANC, transparency mode, 40 hrs of battery life…they really do become a great all around headset.

    Wow, BIG kudos to Steelseries for the easily replaceable battery with official replacements sold! Wish my WH1000s had that. Also props for the direct-purchase replacement earpads. You're right, mine look like the cracked soil in a desert after a few years.
    I wonder if the mic sounds the way it does due to too much software processing (noise gate, etc)? Or Bluetooth, or some combination? In the Rtings review, the (wired version) mic sounded a lot better.

    Got the Arctis Pro for like 3 years now. Pretty much the same bt + 2.4ghz connection in the same time, replaceable batteries, docking, you can do pc gaming and phone call in the same time. Traveling with phone? No problem. Lots of phone call at home while you want to do something? No problem. Gaming? Yessss. Good product, very happy with it.

      The simultaneous PC & phone connectivity is so good isn't it! If I get a phonecall whilst I'm working it's a quick boop of the headset button & I can answer on my headset which is so much better for call quality.

    Hi, Im considering to purchase the new white Xbox version.
    Do you know if I would be able to use a USB switcher/HUB o similar product, so that I could have even more things connected beside my Xbox?
    I don’t mean to use them all at once, but so I don’t have to disconnect the USB cable from the PS5 and connect the PC all the time.
    And NICE G15 in the background, I'm still using the G19 after my third G15 died.

    Hey, I’ve got a question.
    Can I connect the gamedac to my iPhone 14 pro max via a lightning (iPhone) to type C ( DAC) cord and get the sound wirelessly from my iPhone to the headset and play games using the 2.4g low latency ?

    I can't wait until user replaceable batteries are the law. I have the previous gen Arctis Wireless Pro & the quick replaceable batteries are so useful. I got into the habit of swapping mine whilst my laptop boots every morning so they'd last the full day no problem, but if I forgot & they die during a work call then it's a 5 second panic battery swap to fix it.

    I wear Bose 700 wired to my PC via AUX. I'd like to go wireless w/ a DAC like this possibly, or switch to a stronger headphone than the BOSE 700. Any opinions? Options?

    • @Hersendood
      @Hersendood 10 месяцев назад

      Probably depends on what you expect from audio quality! I have Bose QC45’s and not sure I need a gaming headset, but I also don’t wanna be wearing these all the time so I decided to go with this nova pro wireless which sounds great imo but is not balanced for music production. Did you end up buying another headset or how is the Bose 700 faring?

      @LucDiesveld I bought the arctis nova pro wireless. I love them (I did an eq setting from yt vid). The swappable battery is just so good.

    Currently trying out a friends Actic 5 series and they're great! Those got me interested in the brand in the first place. One thing I really enjoy is the ability to mix between the Chat & Game audio. Is that possible on these? Can I mix between those sources that are on one machine on this headset? Would really like to know since that's a huge feature that I use regularly.

    How is the input lag?
    For wireless headphones this was always a no-go with gaming for me (sony wh-1000xm3 user here)

    as an audiophile, I approve this thing. Why? Sonar. Okay sure, out of the box, it sounds like crap, the frequency response is... not great. But, as long as you have a parametric EQ, nothing is impossible to fix... well, almost nothing I suppose. Anyway, look, get an autoEQ preset of the damn thing, and you have a harman target. But harman target is boring, and kinda sounds narrow on this set, so boost that 2.5k-3k a bit more, and add +3 to that treble slider. If it sounds sibilant, just drag that 8k down some more.... and done. Now you have a serviceable sounding headset with LOADS of feature... Or alternatively if you're fine with cables every now and then for charging and don't need this much feature, get the maxwell.

  • @District.24
    @District.24 Год назад +2

    It’s expensive because of the features, not the audio or mic performance.

    Actually got these and had them for about 4 days before I returned them back to Best buy. They cost $420 Canadian. I had nothing but problems with them, The base sounded like garbage to me. Of course that could be due to certain sound profile that I'm used to i like more of a clear bass sound. This one sounded muted and muffled. And the issues I had was the right ear cup a constant beeping sound. Other issues I had was when connected to Bluetooth on your phone. The audio would just turn off randomly but the phone would think it was still playing the Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity simultaneously did not work as advertised broken connections or just wouldn't work altogether. And the special audio didn't seem like it was that incredible.
    Anyway, I actually bought these cuz I watched a couple videos on these and everybody swore by them I just didn't see it.
    And yes, software and firmware were all updated. I even contacted their support. Could have been a manufacturer default but either way the time and money that I spent on these headphones just wasn't worth it for me.

      Sounds like the Amazon employee handing the box kicked it about a bit and something got loose it’s unfortunate for you but these headphones till this day are one of the best gaming headsets around.

    Is anyone having the issue where while watching a movie or TV show, when it gets to the end of the movie or show, the audio cuts out? The only way to get the audio back is to pause the TV and unpause. I have never had this issue with any other headphones. Only these. You would think that a 350 dollar pair of headphones would not be this buggy.

    I've been dedicated to Logitech for so long that I've noticed a drop in quality on some of their products. My G935 headset has one of the speakers having problems. That might be my fault due to stepping on it despite there being no outside visible damage. I've spent hundreds on sound cancelling earbuds and headphones so another few hundred for a gaming headset isn't too much of a big deal to me as long as the quality department did their job.

    I think there's too many fake RUclips videos on this headset?. This being one of them. I've had this headset now for about 6 months. The price they are charging for this headset is not worth it's price range. How come nobody is mentioning the humming noise in the right ear when connected by Bluetooth? This should not be happening with this headset by the asking price. Nobody is talking about this. I do not have a faulty headset if you look elsewhere other than RUclips or Amazon and go to places like what Hi-Fi there are people that are discussing this issue with the headset. Also, some people complain about them starting to hurt their ears over a period of time because it has something inside. That's about the size of a pea and it presses against your ear and starts to hurt. I must say I'm not getting this issue but people with bigger ears might do. The sound quality is really good compared to other headsets I will say that but these are not worth the asking price and they are not the absolute best considering the humming noise in the right ear when connected by Bluetooth. I think steel series are paying people to give good reviews. Something doesn't add up?

      Doesn't seem that far-fetched. I actually just made a comment about these headphones. I only had these for about four days and then returned them back to Best buy because of the multiple issues that I had and sound quality didn't sound that great to me, particularly in the low end.

    There is a slight hum using these with Bluetooth connected but I have been looking for a noise canceling pair of gaming headphones I can talk on the phone with and they are great for that

    So the wired version is worse than the wireless? That makes no sense, since wireless is unanimously agreed as being worse for gaming due to the lag.

    • @-Jakob-
      @-Jakob- 8 месяцев назад

      you're not fast enough for the negligible lag these headphones have... it's 2.4GHz not bluetooth

  • @nielsderyst

    I own one, very handy/useful type of headset. However...
    The mic is pretty bad for the price, even for lower priced headsets, and you better return it after only 10 months of (heavy) use, because the fake leather from the ear pillows will start to completely fall off in tiny bits.
    And I believe it NEEDS to be cabled to hit higher frequency ranges for high-res/lossless audio.
