- It wouldn't be a Jingles Man Cave (or is that Gnome Cave?) unless there was a tank in there somewhere. This is the Forces of Valor 1:16 scale diecast M4A3 Sherman model, produced in a limited run of 2500 models, and I've got one.
I got mine from Buy-For-Less-Online via Amazon UK for £155.67. However, this was a sort of bad news / good news situation, as you're going to see.
Bonus content at the end of the video as usual, showing some more World War II themed "toys" I already own.
Current total cost of Man Cave decorations £1272.13, or 6,716 days of premium account in World of Tanks.
+Connor Woolrich The slide safety doesn't work unless the pistol is cocked, and since it was made safe....
Jingles, you showed much better restraint then I would of, I would of lit a ton of candles and filmed in candel light last night. Good dicipline mate!
Do you read these jingles
He does, but I don't think he can comment on all. He has replied to me on several posting prior to this.
eriknpf1 not me
DAT ASS :D btw jingles your beard is BACK :D
I have the 1:32 scale version of that Sherman along with a JagdPanther. Not as nice in regards certain details but still pretty slick.
Holy crap, that's one excellent model. Might have to do a little online shopping myself when payday rolls around...
I stay amazed after 5 videos by the wallpaper :p
Forces of Valor models are amazing, I have a T-34-85 and the entire hull (excluding accessories) is metal. ALL the hatches open (including engine hatches and transmission access!) and are shown with great detail.
I love this addition to your man cave. I love replicas that are that detailed and metal instead of that fake plastic that some r like...
Mind you I suppose the real question now is - do Forces of Valor do a 1:16 scale TOG?
this man deserves more likes!
That's too big. no room big enough for TOG.
xD you would need to get another TOG to keep it company, because a TOG that is alone is a sad TOG.
where would you get the room for that though D:
Well, you could build one yourself if you wanted to- someone I know is making a 1/8 WW1 tank using parts she designed and ordered to be cut from metal/3d printed.
I'll be making a 1/16 working Centurion model using a Pershing as a base at some point- I have a lot of other projects that need doing first though.
Parabuteo Where is this she, I must get to know this female tanker, female tankers are way more interesting to talk to than male ones.
I was watching your channel a bunch when these videos were dropping I loved this series so much a project man cave update or renovation or continuation or addition would be awesome to see. Behind the scenes magic or workstation videos are awesome
Your local delivery guys must love you, lol. That tank is a beautiful model and the detailing is superb, apart from those boxes on the back. They managed to get the wood on the other parts of the model lovely, but looks like they gave up on the crates.
Got to love how the box for the crew and accessories is same size or larger than the entire box for most other *large* models.
Gorgeous Sherman model. I'm properly jealous right now.
Those additional tools are most likely for changing links on the tracks and other track repairs.
I think you mean Matryoshka doll jingles. Nice video.
This man deserves more likes because he still makes videos wen NOT playing games. This man is awesome.
First Sideshow collectibels now Forces of Valor... had no idea about these things until seeing them on your channel. If I keep watching I'm going to wind up spending as much as you!
no one will be as cool as jingles :) , thank for the video jingles you the best.
Well last time i asked about tanks and planes for your man cave and now I know. Very cool. And you even showed the money shot lol. Oh do not forget the sandbags and mud on the front give you better armor LoL
jingles your vids, no matter what, always manage to make my day better
You reminded me to change my calendar over, the Mosquito is the picture for January.
Thanks for the review. I have this exact model on hold for me. I am getting it on the third.
9:20 those silver bits are Jingles's 152mm BL-10 from the ISU-152 bouncing off. :)
You sure? That was a 2k credit shot ;)
Well you could just imagine that the hatch was knocked out by a well placed german gun shot while it was opened... dunno if that was possible. The model is preety but without the hatch... UNFAIR PLANE!! D:
I know im late, anyway..
A truly beautiful model! Loving the crew's detailing and the metal construction of the tank
Enjoyed the video. Beautiful Sherman model. Sorry about our export laws regarding firearm accessories in the U.S. Who knows, we may be changing those soon after January. Obviously, we want you to have U.S. made grips on that 1911.
Great taste Jingles! Those 1911 grips rock!
Those two things you didn't know what they are for and assumed they're for the tracks change, are actually really for it. I don't know how it's called in English, in my language we call it "spikes" or "tabs", u will definitely look it up :) Anyways the Sherman looks amazing, by far the best thing you have showed us so far. Too bad I actually have no space for models like this one, so the only thing I collect are watches :)
The postman must fucking love you, Jingles.
That is one fine piece of decoration!!!! Hopefully you get the hatch (if you haven't already).
A lot of efort put in it and great tank u have i wish i had one great video mate.
Jingles if you don't mind a photography suggestion - if you buy a sheet of white bristol board or that stuff that is paper bonded to a stiff foam core (I think it's the poetically named Fome-Cor in NA) and suspend/hang/whatever it on the indoor side of your table, it will bounce window light back and even out the lighting on your subject.
My first thought upon seeing the video's title:
"A tank? How is Jingles gonna make the money shot?"
Very nice looking model. Too bad about the hatch, I guess shit happens. Can't wait to see what you buy next and seeing the complete man cave. Nice. :)
Change the bloody wall paper man!
it's pink wallpaper!
Schrader (Löwe): "SHERMAN REPORTA! HE KEMP MANCAVE!!!"
since you're british i'm expecting to see a spitfire any day now! i like the tank model. interesting that they included the sandbag modifications. interesting story about those, i watched a documentary saying soldiers would mount those in desperation to their tanks in an effort to beef up the armor against german guns, but in reality all it did was slow the tank down. apparently the generals and commanders advised against it but troops did it anyways.
We brought down the site guys, good work!
Free man doing his hobby - inspiring to watch!
Maybe the lost hatch on the driver's compartment is inside of the tank just check it.
Easy to tell that it's not an M4A3, but a standard M4 production model. The driver and bow gunners positions are those of the M4, as the M4A3 had the same single piece upper glacis plate with rotatable periscopes as the M4A2 models.
Lol, I thought it was a Firefly at the start, but still just as good :o
Jingles, you have the sherman, now we're the Tiger? every man cave must have one.
Wow, the size of that model reminded me of my first and only Russian toy. It was a really heavy mortar mixer truck. Well, heavy for a 4-year old kid anyway. About 6-8kg. My dad got it for me while he was in Russia participating in a military exercise at that time as a MiG-21 pilot.
Hey Jingles, not sure if you just messed up or I'm just stupid, But I think the scale of that model is 1:32. I could only find a model of that scale by Forces of Valor on Amazon, and it looked exactly the same, and the model would be around 1.2 feet. I guess I couldn't really get that kind of scale from the video. Thanks
I purchased a 1/72 scale die cast Forces of Valour Stuka from Walmart about 7 years ago...it was only about 15 Canadian dollars back then. So prices have obviously gone up since. And, sadly, they are no longer sold at Walmart anymore. If you go to a hobby shop...of course they are much more expensive. Many different die cast kits are available at the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada...but, as well, much more expensive, but then again the proceeds help to keep the museum going, so it's not a big deal.
That's awesome, there is a Sherman at the park in the town I live in I'm not sure witch type it is though.
now that's a tank module. would love to see you get more of these for your man cave
Jingles, most manufacturers are pretty cool. Chances are if you contact them directly, you might be able to get an official spare.
Jingles, that tank model is amazing (minus the missing hatch). Now you just need to find some replica (or perhaps a real .17 Hornady Mach 2 bullet, if it can fit) ammo to load the tank gun with.
The 1:16 looks great, 1:32 doesn't have he fancy details inside the turret. I tend to get my FoV stuff NIB from eBay, I suppose it not any less of risk but I've had pretty good luck so far. Just ordered a HMARS launcher and hopefully an M60A1 RISE is next. They make this exact Sherman is 1:32 as well, so I may have to look into that and the 1:32 Firefly, since I only have the regular Sherman model at the moment.
What Jiggles is thinking, NEW TOY!
Jingles it wouldn't be a tank collection without a Tiger!
He has already ordered one.. :)
I hope he gets a King Tiger too
MrFriendVideos come now, at least call it its proper name lol
What proper name? Königstiger or Panzerkampfwagen Tiger Ausf. B?
Saumyajit Guha I was gonna say something along the lines of the Tiger 2 or one of its nick names. The king part was just a mistranslation on the allies part. Seriously though, Germans need to not make such massive names
Well done Jingles. You may have just broken the Forces of Valor website!
I always go to HK for my airsoft accessories and parts Jingles. I never go via Amazon these days, firstly because of the restrictions but mainly because delivery from Amazon shops can be so hit and miss! Example i'm still waiting for two books from the US that I ordered mid December last year (needless to say there's a claim for them) but this is the sort of thing I usually get via Amazon.
I have myself some plane models too! Nothing from a museum of course, but I think they're cool, I got myself a P47D-Thunderbolt and a B25-Mitchell, so that's nice. ^.^
Is it missing a hatch Jingles? Is that bugging you a bit? That's gotta be frustrating... Mentioned it a few times, as I recall.
But, seriously, absolutely love the Man Cave segments, looking forward to seeing the actual room itself, cause something tells me this room isn't it. :D
looking at that model actually gave me an idea for something we could add in World of Tanks. similar to the camo net and binoculars, have those sandbags as an equipment we can purchase, and it would increase frontal armor when the tank is sitting still for a time to go into effect
Sounds good but, uh, I hate world of tanks so why not in WarThunder :D
OMG you opened it ahhhhhhhhhhh... Very kewl but god what a pain to keep clean.
Nice vid,im big into 1:35 ww2 tank models, they are much cheaper and now world of tanks sell them with extra bonus codes in them for WoT,i have a spitfire on a stand like that
All I can say is that Jingles must have a lot of spare pocket change to be making this Man Cave
Really had fun with them though. And funnily enough, my M3 Lee is the only FOV tank that has all of its parts.
I would love to see a 1:30 or so Lancaster model :)
I've got Punisher grips on my .45 1911. It's badass looking. If you haven't shot a real 1911, Jingles then you need to. Incredibly fun to shoot. It's no wonder US officers used them as preferred sidearms for decades.
I always loved the Forces of Valor models .
Great value of money imo
support from Serbia :) keep up with the good job. :)
Keep up the Good Work Jingles! Cannot wait for your GLOBAL DOMINATION PLAN MUHEHE :) Greetings from Serbia too!
Jingles said he contacted the retailer, but my first thought would have been to contact the manufacturer about the missing hatch. I wonder if they would be able to send him a replacement part?
My husband and I have a veritable World of Tanks garageworth of tank models, Tiger I, IS-2, Panzer IV, you name it. Really fun to build, all in 1/32nd scale with each other.
Hi great video I noticed that you like the mosquito, nauticalia does a beautiful model of this plane 1.32 scale
Nice tank! one remark though, "Babushka" is Russian for grandmother. :) the Russian doll is called "Matreshka" :)
i just knew you were going to do a tank model sooner or later. :)
I was like: WOW!!! That tank is big (based on the box) and when you unboxed it I was like dat thing is a bit small
Does the underneath the hull emergency escape hatch open also or even have one?the m2 may be old but it's a great spitting out 600rpm since ww1 and is the second oldest still in active (non?)standard service weapon with the US armed forces with the m1911 colt being the first oldest also coincidently by Browning also(seems like his designs stand the test of time greatly)
U-S-A! The master of anything over the top and epic!
Em...
Erm !
That's Germany and Russia I'm afraid.
ConorChaos I'm not talking about about beer or vodka ;)
Mattboy46 Plays The Tiger, Tiger II, Maus, Ratte, V-2 Rocket.. Many more.
6:45 (ish) when Jingles rolled the tank... the little boy inside me that used to paint and build models and collect die-casts (not anywhere near this good) squeeled in glee and tried to get me to reach for the tank.
Nice tank Jingles! After seeing this video I had to have one but mine is missing the 2 metal barricades. Any idea if I can get replacements for those? I have about 6 FOV 1/32 scale but after seeing your 1/16 Sherman I got one a few days ago. Paid 325.00 with free shipping, not bad I suppose.
You know what I just realized..im watching a grown man open toys on the internet -_-
trust me the is worse on the internet....and something that is so expensiv, i wouldnt call a toy ;)
Fantastic model. I repainted the figures on mine though. They are not painted in the right colors or very well. But good enough i guess.. Good video.
Ahhhh, the Sherman. My favorite tank, next to the Abrams.
Jingles, you look badass with that knife.
Jingles what happened to Star Citizen? I just laughed my ass off when you said DAT ASS! well done
Not a bad model. I had the Tamiya model of this. Would have like the RC version, but quite pleased with the plastic kit. Good model.
Luck
Nice. I see you some forces of Valor stuff going on. lol Yes it does look good. To think I have already invested well over $400 in models and supplies I could have just bought the damned things pre assembled and they would look better than what I can do painting and weathering my own. I have some $50 Tamiya models I am scared to touch for fear of wrecking them. Also. what no Tiger? lol
Very nice Jingles. I'm very tempted by the Sherman Firefly version they have as I'm a big fan of that modification of the Sherman. I just wish WG would hurry up and add one to WoT xD
Jingles should totally get himself some 1/16 RC tanks to drive around. If anyone asks him about it, he can just say he commands tanks (leaving out the fact that they're RC, of course)!
love the video keep them coming? hope to see you man cave at some point to
Haha now you just need a Panther to strike fear into the crew of the model m4a3 :P
You need to get a TOG somehow.
He'll need 3 at least, to team up: 'The TOG way of life'
You can get TOG-II models from Flames of War. Tiny scale, but cheap enoug hto buy three and paint "Gnome" on one. ;)
he would have to do a model tank which can be hard if he has no experience with tank modeling
hobo0077 The FoW TOG model is tiny and very very easy. I'm sure our Jingles can manage that! It's not like we're asking him to not make a single mistake on what he calls a certain vehicle in a museum or anything. ;)
(And before anyone leaps on me, yes that was a tease, not an insult.)
miwove 1 : 16 sized TOG will be half the size of a real M4A3 Sherman xD
We should all pitch in and buy Jingles a sword collection to badass it up a bit. Guns would be better but he is in England so swords will have to do lmao
Nice, I have the 1/16 Tiger I (505th Poland 1944) of Forces of Valor.. :)
You had one job Buy-For-Less-Online, one job.
Did the Sherman always have two tow cables connected to the back shackles during WW2 ?
I know Swedish tanks always have them fitted so they can be easilly towed out if they get stuck or worse !
Paul, have you heard that Bovington is auctioning off a Tiger I ride at the expo this April? I think it's on eBay. If you don't blow your retirement $£ on the man cave, you could bid on that. Might make a pretty good Mingles w/ Jingles vid...
"The pistol itself is about 110 pounds..."
Holy shit that's heavy! Oh.....
Best part so far in my opinion.
Still waiting for the beertender video though :P
Man Cave = Sweet dreams are made of these ^^
Jingles you inspired me 2 make my own man cave :) but its gonna be full of tanks and planes and anti tank/airplane
The definition of what constitutes a man cave surely has changed over the years.
A boy cave would be a better term.
I love how in the video description, the ratio of scale, youtube has mistaken for a time hyperlink
This actually surprised me because the smaller Forces Of Valor Models aren't that good this is a very good model
nice colt, got a knighthawk 1911 myself
Now you need to get the tiger in the opisite corner staring at the sherman.
Can you show us your man cave room?
