It might not seem like a big deal but the variety of boards and costumes make MP2 a beloved classic
Except that the luck based gameplay ruins it.

Space land is my favorite board. 😏
its not big deal as far as Im concerned the online sucks for RPGS and I havent seen anything worth playing on it as yet nes,snes, N64 or Genesis wise

For those who dont remmember: Hudson made this game, but it was bought by Konami in 2011 and absorbed. Thats why Konami's name is on the trailer.

Gotta say, for a release of games that came out 25 years ago, this trailer is surprisingly well put together.
I’m looking forward to see Super Smash Bros. , Donkey Kong 64, Banjo-Tooie, and South Park Rally ported to the Nintendo Switch online

Not expecting DLC for Superstars since that game had most of its content derived from the original trilogy, which is now coming to Switch Online.

Mario Party 2 was THE game of my childhood. I have so many memories and stories tied to it... so excited to be able to play it again after losing my cartridge years ago. And with friend this time! Which is something I didn't have 😂
This is so beautiful and to think we are getting both games at once. This is mainly the reason why I got the Expansion Pack last year, it was for all three Mario Party games.

@@jakescartoons6045 Oh well if anything, I got these cause I’m likely not to own a N64 in the near future since I would miss out on a lot of things that I owned from childhood but it’s the Mario Party games that I played a good majority of the time mainly by myself. So when the Expansion Pack got announced last year, I was hoping all three games get to be on the service so I got pretty hyped when I saw them get announced as well as Pokémon Stadium 1 and 2.
@@Yoshirocks92 Personally, I hate Mario Party with a freaking passion. It's gameplay revolves purely on luck, and I don't consider that good game design. On the other hand, games like "Star Fox 64", "Perfect Dark", and "The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time" are absolute masterpieces! I do wish Nintendo would allow "Perfect Dark" on the service, but I'm still very excited for "Goldeneye 007".

@@papermarioparty08 this. I feel like the GameCube Mario Parties are very different than the N64 Mario party and I would say they're more "gimmicky" than the N64 Mario Parties, particularly 2 and 3 (and that's a good thing! More variety, and less of getting the same game again)

Ah, Mario Party 2 for N64! Possibly my personal favorite Mario Party, followed closely by Mario Party 6 and 7 for the GameCube!
For me Mario Party 2 was the first Mario game, if not the very first video game, I have ever played in my entire life. I still have the system it ran on, the Nintendo 64, as well as other N64 games.

My first Mario party game was Mario Party DS and I also played Mario Party 8. I haven’t played Mario Party 2 yet but I look forward to it!

Mario Party superstars isn’t ever gonna get DLC so this definitely makes up for that.

I’m so excited for Mario party 1 and 2. The only one I played in my childhood was Mario party 1. I haven’t played it in more than 10 years. I’m so happy that I’ll finally get to play it again.

It's good that the original trilogy arrives but I think it would have been better if some of these boards and minigames arrived as DLC for Superstars
YES! They're being released on the same day! That means Mario Party 3 will most likely be released in December!
The timeline in the direct said MP3 won’t be until next year. The December game will hopefully be Goldeneye

However since it said 'coming soon' in the English trailer it could be December in most countries maybe because of a weird release delay made by Microsoft. It would be ideal for it to come out this year for its 25 year anniversary and Bond's 60th anniversary.

I'm just glad to see Mario Party 1 actually get a re release. It always seemed like it got locked up cause of the hand spinner mini games that created a market for the N64 controller glove. I know I had some fair shairs of battle wounds for intense matches back in the day. Good times ahead. Just need to find people to come on over now.

I fondly remember when my little sister and I feverishly played through the original Mario Party to completion, easily one of my favorite games for the N64, I didn't really keep up with the series after that though, it felt like a lot of diminishing returns.

@@howlnwolf3321 Clearly not. The fact that NDCube had the AUDACITY to continue the naming scheme & even calling Mario Party 9 & 10 a continuation of the series while FUNDAMENTALLY changing the core gameplay of Mario Party is nothing short of a SIN that I shall NEVER FORGET.
Personally, MP7 is the most nostalgic game to me, as it was the first game I played so much of at such a young age.
I played quite a lot of MP5 & MP6, but I also definitely played a good amount of MP8 as well.
I just wish we could have a new Mario Party game that's like MP 1-8 again that ACTUALLY HAS CONTENT & continues to be supported with small updates & even paid DLC.

It happened in March as well, and in April, Pokemon Stadium. I'm betting that this June we'll get another N64 game. I'm hoping it's the one we want.
