    • @The_Stanman

They were never bad cars in reality. Like it or not, people like cars that give you status and it gave plenty. On top of that, it destroyed the Germans when it came to design and engine sound (at least imo). And if someone hates Maserati because of reliability, then they should hate Alfa Romeos too (they're actually the 2nd least reliable brand but no-one ever wants to point that out). The fact is, people hate Maserati's because it's 'cool' to hate them, despite basically being practical, less-expensive, Ferrari's, only in saloon form.

Honest opinion- we’ve owned maseratis for about 5 years and truly no complaints. The only minor flaws are the body roll and how it gets a bit squirrely when you enter into a corner at 115mph but outside of that is a very crisp and refined drive. A lot of the people who complain about the gearbox or the clutch are the same people who don’t know the car’s shift points and just slam the throttle to “slam the throttle,” if you drive it as a proper European sports sedan you’ll have the quality and longevity of a proper European sports sedan. If you drive it like a Dodge Charger then expect it to be in the shop every few hours. Hope this helps

My friend's dad had a shop fixing exotics, and it was Maserati and Lotus filling the bays everyday for over two decades. It was the same cars coming back, that were hell to keep running. You couldn't give away the old Bi-Turbos, they were so difficult to live with. It's hard to argue that buying one new is likely the fastest way to lose money just driving off a lot, but of course car ownership has a lot more to it. "Ferrari-derived"
It's literally the engine out of a 458 with a Maserati engine cover, it's even red under it!

I'd think the Ghibli is more like a C-Class/3-series/A4 size wise competitor.

i think the ghibli size is A6/E-class/and maybe 5 or 7 series.

After watching ur last 2 videos with this Maserati and the Jaguar SVR, I think I'm starting to suffer from low self-esteem. Can you guys do a budget/ economy sedan review next ? Maybe a Kia Forte or something ? Along with my meditation and online counseling sessions, that would really help me feel better about myself. Thx ! Anyway, great video of this car. I think if I even walked to/into a Maserati dealership (yes kids I mean walked LITERALLY), they would think I was there hoping to use the bathroom. Also, as an FYI to the kiddies in the comments: if you are buying a $100k Maserati, you aren't worried about depreciation or long term reliability.

I think anyone who buys this particular example is getting a future classic. The Ferrari derived engine will see to that alone

My cousin had a Ghibli and he said it was super cheap on the inside. And recommend I did not get one. Beautiful car just needs better interior for that price point.

@@thomasferrarojr.9772 no they did not, they are talking about the Trofeo model not the standard ghibli! And even that is not comparable to a 2021 Mercedes or BMW interior. It is on a Cadillac black series level. Still cheap

The distance from the steering wheel to the paddle is a consistent representation to the size of man parts that the people that drive these would have.
