Thank you so much for taking the time to pass on your knowledge to us poor Ohioans whose yet to catch a green wave but still have surfing running through our veins. Making the chamber board over winter. Wish me luck.
Hello Andrew! Love this series on chambered wood surfboards, it’s definitely the best of its kind on RUclips! (I’ve watched it multiple times.) You mentioned that you will probly do one again? I’d love to see it. What about a mini simmons, I’d like to see you tackle the intricacies of the bottom shapes of that board…hull to flat to double conclaves out the back…anyway, keep up the great work! All the best from Florida!
Excellent explicit instructions Andrew. It’s so helpful that you explain what is happening and mistakes made. The length of the video was great. The worst part? Waiting for your next video to come out. 🤪
Putting the boards through a thicknesser won't remove any warping. This is because only a short length of the board is held rigid as it goes through the machine, while the warping is generally along the entire length. Just as an aside, I was once working an old floorboard which was perfectly flat, but had a distinct banana shape to the broad surface. Since I only needed a narrower board, but wanted to reduce the stress, I thought it would be easier to simply mark out the board for straight cuts, rather than measure uniformly from one edge. I used a hand saw. The final result? It warped in the opposite direction!
Great video as always! I too am at the same point you are with making a chambered wooden surfboard. Are you planning on adding glass or just epoxy once you’re happy with the board? Can’t wait for your next vid🤙🏻
Questions sir : I'm in the process of learning both Fiberglass and building skills my 1st Surfboard experience. But mainly because I wanna build a SUP BOARD. What was your experience building your 1st boards and things like installing Finboxes .... Also your mixtures on Fiberglassing did you make many mistakes ? TIA
is it better to do a decorative surfboard from wood(pine), mdf or from polystyrene? I want smth light but also durable, not smth. And what is the best way to coat the ellipsoid areas? It’s hard to give curves smoothly I guess.
How can I get a profile design for one of the surfboards? I looked on the website that you suggest a day only have the dimensions of like the top view. But how do you make the curvature etc. for the board i.e. the profile.

Nice
Wow, nice video! Out of curiosity, how heavy do you think this board is going to be?
Good job so far! We would love to send you one our all paulownia hollow core wooden surf kits to see how you like it
Send away. Love to have one. Oh, you weren’t talking to me. That’s ok, I’ll take one anyway.
Gene Miller 🤣
Your hollow wood boards are awesome. The videos you make are great too. Great to see an Aussie company making board kits for non handy people like me
Jealousy all around XD
It's also how you make a sleigh cool

Hey Andrew, I love your videos. Can you tell me the measures of the single lumber boards?
So..this is solid ,not hollow
checkout the hollow wood boards they are making now
Didn't know you could surf on the table

It's kinda like making a cutting board 🤣
Floats????
Is the midline that you marked just the center of the cut board? Thanks
hi you should be wearing eye protection because the dust is very bad
Hey man what is the dimentions of each wooden block... before you cure and shape them .. lentgh... width and height

How much does the board weigj when completed
Woodglut has a very large project base.
I’m guessing you take it apart at some point and hollow it out to remove weight. Still going to be a heavy board.
I did it with the woodglut plans.
Stodoys plans has very good and accurate plans.
this method is very wasteful, so why use this one and not the skeleton and thin board method ? just for understand , durability ?
Because this way looks so sick.
If you want to know how to do it yourself, just look for Stodoys.
I've found great handbook on woodprix website. Good solutions for everyone I think
i do not like fast play no more fast play make slow speed
My adventure with woodworking started with woodglut plans.
