    The midfield maestro at it.....I am never surprised at what he can do with the ball.
    I stopped watching just the penalty shootouts, the memories are painful.
    But that was then, when we wouldn't lose without giving a fight. See the atmosphere in the stadium, so electrifying.
    We would lose and still commend the players. That was then, not now, not anymore.

    I think we need to learn something here.... During okochas early days RACISM was deadly.... And hardly could any player survive the hate without being seriously exceptional.... In his interview he said the only way he could get back at them is to humiliate them on pitch ..... Check out the clubs he played for... Turkey, France, Germany and England..... He had a challenge most African players had... He figured a way to get at it.... He's crazy hardworking.... Never had anybody to learn from .... He only admired a legend from seeing his picture (Pele) not privileged to watch him play....only heard that that was the best player of his time....no motivational factor .....it's rare among today's players.. he built a father figure in himself and became a rare maestro of pure unparalleled class .... A one time most expensive player of his time.... A player of pure strength, silkiest body movements and the softest dribble skill ever without force, square playing passes, his confidence is strange, risk taking is strange, a player that shifted focus out of provocation....and not encouragement..... that even his haters couldn't do without him.... Being black was an offense......
    Do you know what it means to work in an environment and you are made to understand that no matter how good you are or how much you do to please them you won't be given the credit you deserve... cos the system says you are inferior.... if it were you what would you do?.... Think about it.
    He didn't really bother .... He decided to do what he loves best..... "Entertainment"...... That's why he is called jay jay.... You can't take that from him..... Fantastic free kick taker, both individual and team player, guess a motivator and highly spirited player..... Even if you're not that good, playing with him bolsters your Confidence.....
    He's unselfish, and note finally..... "That he's a player that excites the commentators and fans and most importantly A PLAYER YOU CAN NEVER MARK OUT OF THE PITCH"..... You can't just eclipse him...... No matter how hard you try...... Cos he's a Father on the pitch . .. i've watched many stars marked out of the pitch..... From ronaldinho to others.... still the only player that still does and can still do what did back in the days despite his age now..... You'd really wonder if he guy is really getting old......a joy to watch. The stage is not for Africans......the africa 11 of his time cannot be beaten.. Truth!! ..... He brought out the best in people..... There is only one jay jay...... Period.....zidane says one person he delights to watch is jayjay...... He disgraced all the best players in his days.... Don't forget that this guy is a walking football Institution on his own..... People pay to watch him train.... Taught students at Brazilian academy..... Tried all that most people cannot try on pitch ...... Scored lots of free kicks in his early career days .... His "long range shots" those days were insane...... Playing in PSG was a big deal..... Perpetual 10 ....... He was versatile... Once played as a striker, attacking midfielder, defensive midfielder, winger, utility player and playmaker..... mesmerizingly entertaining on the pitch ..... Did things that were one and first of its kind during his days ...... Case closed .... He's a joy to Nigeria in particular and Africa in general. We are not bothered that he's been denied the honour he deserves at the global stage but Africa knows He is a priceless and classless treasure to the World

    • @kayvaldo
      @kayvaldo  6 лет назад +10

    • @felixharawa371
      @felixharawa371 5 лет назад +5

      because European football inhibits technical skill so the Afro player in Europe will not blossom into a flamboyant player anymore (no offence intended on Euro foot). I live out of Africa having grown up and played African football till 14. Here where I live I have not allowed myself to join organised league since I turned 18 for fear that skilled would be coached out of my game, opting instead to further self coach and develope my craft based on the football I watched my teachers playing in Africa (they were brilliant) now if I show you my clips you can see the essence of the Afro game. By the way the Afro game is very close to the Brazilian game on style. The only difference is that the Brazillian game combines style and overall polish in every aspect including tackling while the Afro game is like a caricature version of that in that the finer aspects are over exentuated resulting in bad taclking and shots which miss the goal and a flactuating concerntration threshold. Other than that African soccer used to be entertaining I hear in the 70s and 80s, with the likes of the then Zaire, Nigeria, Cameroon and Algeria. Also kids these days play with internet and technology, no one is working on technique as if that's the only thing to do as a lad, exept maybe myself.

      Because our football administrators are not putting in the required efforts. Developmental footballing tournaments from schools are no longer in focus...the Principal Cup, NUGA Games, NIPOGA Games and other similar competitions that would help to roll out new stars in football, athletics, boxing & other sports are no longer thriving.
      Even d football academy system is being compromised... Its all looks dark but we can see d light again if we revive those cultures and add new innovations like the sports scholarship system used in America.

    That Cameroonian goalie came off his line on every single penalty kick and should have been red carded. Nigeria should have won this nations cup, but terrible officiating cost them.
