    An absolute class act, used to love watching him. Had a vicious shot and pass, could take set pieces, long throw was super strong and tough in the tackle, could score, put people through, great crosser. A complete player.

    I remember this game well, it really was the Jay Jay Okocha show, wont see anything like that at the "Macron" again. He was a credit too the EPL and not just Bolton. Such a shame that both Jay Jay was not allowed too end his carrear at Bolton and how down hill Bolton themselfs have gone since players of his calibre stopped appearing following BSA's departure.

    Too bad, Bolton Wanderers players were just ordinaries. Had Okocha played with that skill at Man.Utd against Bolton we would have watched dozens of goals already. The man's skills and ball control are simply mesmerizing. Perhaps one of the best in the world.

    Jay Jay belonged in Barcelona, Real Madrid, AC Milan, Juventus, not Bolton. I think the European big clubs conspired to ignore him because they were scared he'd win ballon d'or if he joined one of them. They couldn't stand a Nigerian winning that.

      David O'brien okocha, gaudino, yeboah had to leave Frankfurt back than. Okocha went to fenerbace and then psg, Not among the top clubs then. He was Almost 30 When He Came to england. If he would have gone to england like gaudino or yeboah right away After Frankfurt He would have become more famous. I think yeboah was better and is more forgotten than okocha.

    One of the few times roy keane was second best in the middle of the park, didn't happen often but when it did, it was usually an equally elite footballer beating him and jay-jay was that. make no mistake about it, criminally underrated player, always wanted him at arsenal thought he had the magic to come in after bergkamp.

    Did anyone notice how he manned that midfield, he stops united free flow, and dictated how the ball moved around the midfield... But today, strikers just literally run pass the midfield towards the defence and you would start wondering where your midfielders and defensive midfielders were. 🙄
