Definitely a good idea to bring along someone who is experienced flying in/out of a particular flying site. Always good to have another set of eyes, talk on the radio, etc. I still think the hardest part of VFR flying is going in and out of a busy towered airport.
I lived in Plant City for 15 years about a half mile from the airport and got my private ticket there. Volunteered annually at Sun-N-Fun and helped out with overflow at Plant City Airport. I haven’t lived in Florida for 18 years. Good memories! Great video!
The key to ATC is the ability to listen and understand and draw a mental picture in your head about whats going on in the airspace, sounding like maverick and goose on the radio comes a distant second.
MG could become an airline pilot if he so desires. He loves airplanes and enjoys flying. Those are two qualities that make flying less work and more fun.
@@TheBarzook good luck to you also. I should be done next week. My CFI is doing a great job of moving her bookings around so I'm done by the end of this month. As the head CFI is going away for a month, they are a great school to make sure that I finish before he goes away. Keep and fly safe. Dean. ✈
A few things from my prospective, the mighty keyboard warrior. 1. Good job 2. A person acting as co pilot should be co pilot. This felt like an uncomfortable cockpit and didn’t seem like you two were in sync. Could’ve given him comms and you focus on flying 3. It did not seem like you were ready for this flight. He saved your butt on this procedure and I felt like you had no idea what was going on. Didn’t know where the highway was or what waypoints you should be looking for.
@@adkfisherman8357 not briefing yourself on procedures or maps at one of the busiest events of the year is not learning, It’s irresponsible. I’m sure he did learn something from this experience though.
A lot of pilots don't know where they are going. That's why they need help from their navigational flight displays, ATC controllers, enroute charts and approach plates, and co-pilots. 😳
I couldn't make it happen this year, but good Lord willing I'll be there next year! Hopefully you will be able to make it as well so I can finally get to meet you. Be well brother, and enjoy your weekend.
Was that your aircraft on display at the sling SnF booth, your plane paint looks vey close from this video…. If so what colour is that, it’s like wow… I’d like to paint my PA30 that colour if I can source it….
Sun N Fun is done. Prime is taking over LAL. Some folks had to hold at Lake Parker for over an hour. Holds were crowded as well. Mixing GA and Big Iron is a recipe for disaster.
Good Flight Mike. No Cardiac surgeon in V trail requesting 16000 from 9000 to avoid icing and storm activity: but ice is slowly building. THAT'S WHY YOU HAVE SIRUS XM. 🛩 🌧 'record some good stuff at Sun' n Fun'

EXCELLENT Job of putting her down on the runway with precision. You've earned my respect! 👍👍

Good work taking an experienced local with you, looked like high workload and difficult comms.
Love that landing. Great job!
Never been to Sun N’ Fun, but the ATC brought back memories of landing at Oshkosh! Cool landing long! Blue skies!
Hello from Australia 🇦🇺
I'm about to go for a flying lesson today only have 3 to go before my check ride.
Awesome!
Good luck mate, mine is in 3 days!

@@ibiufos Same here, the examiner could only see me Monday morning, so the school moved a student to another slot to allow me to do my exam.
@@ibiufos I got it! Godspeed for yours!
Wish I could be there, Mike! Maybe we'll see you at Oshkosh this summer.
Friend was talking to you on Friday about the Rotorway, just realized it when we were looking up Sun N fun vids.
Congrats on another big air show touchdowns! Well done!

I guess I missed you by a day? Saw your beautiful MogoGrip custom Sling ---> Amazing!
Plant City is where I did most of my flight training and flying. I worked the line for a long time.
I saw your sweet plane at the Sling booth. Hopefully I'll get to see you and say high sometime. Keep up the great work.
So cool, great low level flying down the rwy Mike!
Me and my family will be there this weekend. Hope to run into you. great video.

better landing than OSH. Good that you arrived early. It's a real zoo this Friday morning.
Nice little flight

Hey I saw your plane but you were no where around. Sorry I missed you.
Love your videos! Thanks for posting! 🤙

MOJO GRIP that is a nice airplane
Saw your plane but missed you. Maybe next time.
I saw your plane when I was there!

Great landing Mike.
Amazing flight
So dope my flight school is at lakeland Airport 🛫
Nice to have a 'harbor pilot' with you. I would have called Uber. LOL.
The TSi looks seriously rad. Does the front wheel of the TSi steer in taxi and also act as a rudder in the flight?
nice landing
Great landing 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
Perfect, love yours videos.
That seemed stressful
You really have the read the NOTAM completely before flying to these events. TBH you felt a bit unprepared
Nice!
I looked for you. I was disappointed we didn’t meet.
There’s a lot of traffic heading in
Cool Sling.
Any word on the new Sling High Wing?
It's coming this summer. We should have a finished plane at OSH
Hey Mike! I'm at Sun n fun today. Do you have a booth or meet and greet today?
Hey Nate, sorry I had to fly out early
Seemed much less frantic than Oshkosh. At least he wasn’t misidentifying your plane.
I would love to learn fly, no money to it.
See ya tomorrow!
Good Flight Mike.
