Living in Paraguay for a bit over 5 years I can confirm that Paraguay is not perfect, but it 100% the best place to be at the moment.

Saludos.

Great video and great points you make. I’m permanently moving to Paraguay in July, and I especially like your points of essentially embracing tranquilidad, restarting your mind, body, soul, and creating new networks. Leave any and all negativity and naysayers’ opinions behind. It’s all irrelevant when you’re in one of the happiest and chillest places on earth.

Thanks for the message. I checked out your channel, great stuff. You'll see I made a comment about adoption. I understand how significant Paraguay is to you. Your channel is going to be very important, particularly for international adoptees from any country. Also, your unique perspective can span to the cultures of Western & Paraguay culture. Paraguay is an enigma to most. I think Westerners don't really understand how unique Paraguay is so you will be able to unpack that.
I'm glad that you managed to find your biological family. You will be a blessing to them also.
Good luck and hopefully we will catch up.

@@ADirtCheapLifeParaguay Much appreciated! That makes me want to focus in on more content around adoption. But yeah, I'll be sure to reach out once I'm on the ground there. I'd be interested in interviewing you, just something casual, if you'd be up to it - for my channel, and vice-versa. No offense to other foreigners, but you seem to have more depth and meaningful insights than a lot of other channels I've come across when it comes to the complexities of moving abroad. Not just the logistics, but the emotional and mental burden that it can have on you. Anyways, nice to meet you, and we'll be in touch!

@@MyBestLifeParaguay Awesome, it would be great to meet and collab (cool YT jingo). Definately, I think you could do a play list on the adoption issue. Not everyone is interested but those of us who have been through it are. You'll get a few people that don't understand, but that's the complexities of adoption. I appreciate your thoughts about my insights. Again, I think that's connected to adoption. We tend to think alot about things many others take for granted. Moving to another country is a massive operation. I want to present the reality rather than sell the dream. Westerners need to come to realise that it's their turn to be migrants. And the migrant path is not easy. Let me know when you're here and we will catch up for sure. Good luck with the channel, I will be tuning in👍

Thanks. Yes, the 'back home' thing can be an easy cycle to get into. I think our minds play tricks on us at times and it can undermine our peace if we let it.

That is very true. I've seen that same thing happen to people who have moved from one city to another within their own country so I can see how it can apply when moving to another country.

I have being an expat since 2003, from NZ, now living in Paraguay. When they are trivial issues its usually culture shock, a language barrier or patience. Fortunately there is not really a lot that needs to be done to set ones self up in Paraguay. If it seems bad vent with a friend or just drink a large bottle of Pilsen "The label is Pilsen" for the ridiculous price of 1 euro, laugh and be "tranquillo".
I remember a character from Australia who once ran a a brothel in Thailand. He said to my younger self "Don't Stress, Reassess"
