Your Charisma is awesome, please continue doing videos, I follow other expats in Paraguay, very stiff people always trying to sell you something but with you is like listening to my good old friends in MIA, blessings to your family. Planning to get to Paraguay mid July, initially to Asuncion, but it seems like a great place where your at, For 660 i can only get a 1BR small apartment in asuncion, so ill check this town Hohenhau to see hows the vibe. Is this town only suitable for very religious people? cheers, and see if you can bring your Hubby on your next video to give a Guys-view on your new life in Py.

Good morning ☀️ Mac I really appreciate it and thank you for talking time to see our video. Hohenau is for any one is really small city if’s you like small town vibes, relax, lifestyle away from the city life Hohenau definitely you will love it here. The only problem here is that we are 6 HR away from the international Airport. And I will bring my husband to the next video. Have great day

Hohenau is quite expensive. Too many expats. Lots of Russians and Germans. I recommend cheaper and more livable places. Better to go directly to Encarnación. Or to the surrounding areas. For example, San Juan del Paraná. Or in the area around Asunción. For example, Altos. I myself live in Villarrica. Think about hospitals nearby. You should also look at Caaguazú. Or Piribebuy. But further away from good infrastructure. I live in Villarrica and pay $270 for a 160 m2 house with a garden. Centrally located in the city.

Thank you for sharing your experiences.
I respectfully encourage people who live in third world countries and who are already taking advantage of the cheaper cost of living as compare to the salaries they make to what we make in the US , to please don’t forget about tipping the nationals for their services.
Tipping is something that we have to do in the USA no matter what. And that should not change just because we are now in a different culture where tipping might not be the standard.
When I went to Paraguay I ALWAYS tipped. And I tipped them real good. Sometimes 50% , I mean in restaurants for example.
Thank you for your video. My greatest concern is with the corruption and the police and safety.
Also, I don’t know how much resources their hospitals actually have. Even their private ones.
If my total bill was $10 I would just give them $15…. The same dish would cost me around 25-30 plus taxes and tips in the USA anyways….
Maybe is just me, but I am poor and I know the value of each dollar and I know how much other that has less income than me would appreciate it.
On the other hand, I have been with others who take advantages of the cheaper cost of living and behaves stingy towards the nationals.

I am German and have been living in Paraguay for 20 years. I strongly recommend to ignore the costs of living.Yes, a lot of things are cheaper here. But keep in mind - this country is totally different to Europe or the U.S. when it comes to service, quality, education, law, medical care and whatsoever. I saw many people coming with the biggest dreams and then leaving deeply disappointed. In the beginning you need a thick skin to adapt to the circumstances.

Hey good job of explaining living in Paraguay. I’m a 62 year old native NYer who has been married to a Paraguayan born woman for over 35 years. For the last five years we have been to PY once a year and will be going again in early September 2024. People just do not know what a great country PY is. The friendly people, the food and to me the beauty of the country. Yes people do say Paraguay is not for everyone but for myself I consider it my second country. I know all my relatives in Italy won’t like that but that’s just how I feel. My wife still has a lot of family living there and still has her family home which is about 20 miles from Asuncion and pretty close to San Bernardino. Great location. Away from the crowds but just a few minutes by car if we need food or gas or whatever. And yes there is a good chance of living there more but I won’t say full time but you never know. Well sorry for my long life story but I get carried away sometimes. Your children seem like fine young men and I also have sons but they are all 25-30 years old and also fine young men. Yes I subscribed and will be watching. Ciao for now.

@@LIFEOUTOFHOME-q4i Hi, I want to move from USA to there but people told me I have to pay those get-Paraguay-TR (Temp Residence) gurus who charges from $1,500-$3k at least and they said I must live in Asuncion to get the docs done like get Cedular (?) national ID, setup LLC/c corp and setup bank accounts and pay $30/mo hire accountant who reports my revenue monthly to the govt, etc and it takes many days or weeks and maybe now govt require enter the country 2x (one to get National ID, TR tax number; another visit to setup company, bank acct, post service forward etc and maybe finally driver's license, etc). Live in the capital city is more expensive than small town but they said all TR docs must turn in in Asuncion. Btw, CAN I DIY to get the Paraguay TR, Cedular ID card, setup company, bank account, etc everything by Do-it-myself or hire local people who have been thru the same process for like $500 instead of pay those Gurus over $1,500/pkg?! Plan to get TR & later PR there to save tax! Thanks.
