Really enjoyed this one, it's good to see the sun out, lol! Fringe is a very upscale plant store and home decor (candles, etc) I miss that area so much, but the rent (ugh) way too high for my budget. ✌
Hello Leo Ocean, thanks for all the great videos. It makes me nostalgic, i spent two years 2010 to 2012 in Tukwila. I know it's a good place to live Seattle its a beautiful dawn town, cheers from México, blessings
Thank You for sharing your time and day with us. We a traveling to Seattle this summer and I enjoy taking a walk with you around the city. It will definitely help me navigate around. Great channel. I shared it with a travel group on Facebook.
I searched for “Did downtown Seattle clean up” and got lots of articles describing the volunteer cleanup efforts after the 2020 riots. I searched for “Did downtown Portland clean up” and saw articles from this year about how Portland is still a mess. Looks like Seattle is in better shape. Great video, I’m enjoying seeing Seattle and can’t wait to get there next month!
L.A. person here. The last time I was in Seattle was two years ago in December, just before the pandemic lockdown stuff. I was thinking of going to Seattle again last month, but skipped it. I went to San Francisco instead. Shorter flight, and I still ended up with a cough that lasted on and off for weeks. I caught something on the plane, even though I had three COVID shots and the flu shot. I skimmed through this video, but it looks like I've seen everything you passed by, plus a bunch more. Two years ago I also walked up to the Starbucks Reserve Roastery. We have nothing like that in L.A. Tell Starbucks we need one of those down here. Good video. Maybe I'll visit later this year.
Appreciate your up to date videos in Seattle! I am going next week for my birthday, so your videos are so helpful & informative. Thanks for the great content. - All the way from Houston, TX 🤗
Nice long walk with lots of downtown scenery, and a light dousing of Mr. Lao Ocean's good philosophy. Thanks Mr. Ocean, I'm still, really, enjoying your content...
I remember enjoying the Summer Concert series in Westlake Center, listening to live music while enjoying a Dog in the Park hot dog. Happy 2022 Everyone! ❤❤
Such a beautiful day today! It was so funny to me that even at 40 degrees outside but just because it was sunny, people were out with shorts on. Shorts but with a big jacket lol Dennis, I’d love to see some videos whether a ride along or a walk video where you go to the Seattle as well as Tacoma suburbs, show neighborhoods and discuss those areas’ uniqueness. Thanks.
Haven't been to Seattle in seven years. Will be back in couple days still kind of looks the same but a lot of changes surely. I'll be roaming Ballard, Tacoma, Bellevue and white center probably montlake as well idk. Thanks for update and what I'll be seeing
I met my boyfriend in 2018 he's living in Bellevue and we're about to meet after the pandemic ends. I found your channel not long ago and I've gone through bunch of videos and imagine myself being there. Thank you so much for the online tour.
A great tour of the city I once lived in. Know that area well. lived there for almost 20 years, 1996 through 2016, minus a year and a half away when I made an unsuccessful attempt to find work in LA in 2002, was there 6 months, came home and lived almost all of 2003 with my now late mother before moving back to Seattle. Lived on Queen Ann Hill's Uptoan neighborhood, then when I moved away, moved back, this time to Capitol Hill and lived there for 13 years before rents and housing in general was way more than my budget could comfortably sustain for the long haul. I wound up buying a small house in Tacoma, where I grew up near (University Place) so knew the town well and while it's got it's issues, it's nothing like Seattle appears to have experienced in recent years. Glad I live here now. A nice walk on a beautiful, but cold sunny winter morning in the big city.
Great video again Dennis. Yes the Monorail was only $6 when I last visited in 2019. Please do a video of a trip on it in the future so other people who haven't visited Seattle can enjoy the experience. I can also recommend the Dog in the Park. I tried mine at the stall at Seattle Center and it was delicious. 😁✌
When you said Jeff Bezos balls that kind of threw me off😆😆. Overall thank you for posting these videos I do plan on moving to Seattle and I enjoyed watching this walkthrough😍😍💥
Snow melted by fabulous sunshine looks cleaner every time in Winter. As snow naturally does the cleaning. Now that is good hahahahaha. People relax and Snow is natural cleaner again.
Wooow😊 Thank you for your videos. It's helpful for me to see what's in Seattle, because I plan to work as a Nurse in Seattle. 😊 I'm still in the process of deciding which state I will work soon and 1st choice is WA, Seattle. 2nd choice is Texas... I'm still checking videos of this 2 states😊 Thank you. God bless.
Hey denis,im going to Seattle from Arizona on 14-17 this month and I was wondering if you are going to make a video on those days.hope I run into you just to say I love your videos.
Dear Ocean, I am visiting Seattle on 13-Jan to 28-Jan, planned to go Leavenworth too. However I am not sure about the roads/highways condition, I searched online and not very informative, please advise how and where to search for the reliable information about the road condition. I am watching FOX 13 news everyday :D
@@MeowMeow-ul4su Live over by N Beacon Hill and can confirm that. there was a dude literally smoking crack only 100- 200 ft away from a daycare center yesterday morning lol. why do we have some of the highest homeless pop in the country yet are one of the smaller urban cities, ppl come here to feed their addiction not beat it. still a lovely city in some regards
Lao, hit KauKau at 1030am. Honestly nice people, good soup, but meat was cold. $9.50 $12 with tip. Went straight to PHO BAC, blew me away. $13 large #5 fatty brisket, $15 with tip. So good im going Mon at 8am before my flight out :)
@@LaoOcean That's good to know, because without the pandemic, Pioneer Square has the potential to be a thriving place. True, dangerous at night, and a lot of homeless people around. But, Friday and Saturday nights, those clubs used to be very busy.
When I first moved here about 6 yrs ago I had to go to the court house for a license. I'm pretty sure I paid a scammer for a parking space & then had to jump over a huge & I mean enormous pile of fresh human feces in order to get to the building. Downtown Seattle's disgusting. Now we're being hit with an $850 a month rent increase & the folks running the city wonder why they have a homeless problem. People are leaving the city in masses. I'm out of here , would've stayed longer but it's just to expensive & this is coming from someone that isn't just starting out. Idk how young people just getting started are surviving here. I've seen them living in their cars but working full time, that's really messed up. I'm moving back out of here as fast as i can like someone lit my ass on fire.
For someone who was born and raised in Seattle, walking around downtown now i very depressing and dangerous after dark. It is really sad to see what it has become.
I've stayed at that Westin many a time 😂 Thanks for letting a girl retrace her steps! I'll be there in a week and can't wait to be back! I don't know if I'll get a gorgeous sunny day like this though ☀️ Great walk as always, Dennis!
