Bill Hader always mentions the staff by full name and what they do. That's so nice, to recognize the colective effort of a show.
Good catch!
He's such a genuine soul!
he worked as a production assistant at some point so he likely has a lot of respect and understanding for what they do.
@@iggy1296 Came here to say this! He's been on the other side and totally gets it
@@badinkstudios who honestly cares?
Bill Hader has really stepped up to show us his leadership capabilities.
Is this an Arnold call-back? Lol
@@trevormannion14 yes
@@Puppy_Puppington respect.
Well done
He never forgot what the terminator told him
That last episode was a phenomenally dark farewell to the series! Love what Hader did and the whole cast did an amazing job
Sally did such a phenomenal job this season I hope she blows up from it
The last ten minutes are the most ironically funny stuff I have ever seen. LOL
"oh wow"
It was dumb. Stupid attempt to seem deep
I literally gasp out loud. it's been forever a show makes me captivated and invested!❤️
Bill is so likeable and naturally funny
Get a life
He’s the best person alive
@@micahclawrence No Sir, the best is Santa Claus/Amazon delivery guy.
You're dumb if you think people can be this funny naturally, it takes work and experience.
That story he told about Duffy telling him "that's too much acting", and then "There he is!" after it brought out a more aggressive performance sounds like the scene with Sally teaching the student
That was such a telling story and speaks volumes about the risks of creating stories and performances in an echo chamber. Makes me wonder how big name directors approach the issue.
If only George Lucas, well you know....
I know exactly what Conan means, they really have painted themselves into a pretty dark corner. Like, the initial premise of the show of "assassin accidently sits in on an acting class and now wants to become a full-time actor" was just absurd comedy gold, but the actual ramifications of Barry's behaviour necessarily lead down an increasingly dark path to where we're at a point now where the show has become more and more depressing (but not bad). Very excited for the finale.
You're spot on. I feel the same way with Succession and Yellowstone. They aren't series that could hold up for 6-10 years because of how rapidly things went from light to dark. Succession feels right ending at 4 seasons, I think this fall will be the end of Yellowstone (not counting the prequels and spinoffs). Barry is/was the right amount of seasons as well.
@@Bamaboy813 It feels to me like 4-6 seasons is the sweet spot for a good TV show. Unless it's based on a pre-established series of books (looking at you, Game of Thrones) there's no need for it to go on longer. Part of what makes a story good is that it has an ending.
Sopranos did this first and it worked so well
The tone is darker but the comedy never left.
U uh.. liked the finale?
Barry quickly became one of my all time fav shows and this last season did not disappoint! Bill Hader’s acting is incredible but it’s his directing that really stands out and you can tell he put so much passion into each episode!
Yes, I agree. A lot of the comedy this season comes from the directing.
How do you feel about it now? I felt the same as you but the last season has srunk on me since I like it but not as much as I used to
I would LOVE to experience Bill Hader and Conan together at a party or something. I think that would be comedy gold x100!
For them to show up to your bbq would be a bucketlist moment
I want to play D&D with Conan. Imagine Conan just Ashima-Haaa-ing and doing an accent all night.
i want to ride horses with bill and conan.. maybe hold hands
A sex party?
Comedy platinum, even!
Bill Hader is the GOAT, he’s so underrated, he can do anything from drama to comedy to impressions, and he’s actually funny af
I howled laughing when barry said "mr cousineau, did you trick me?!"
I had to replay, "Did you trick me" three or four times during the episode because it was so funny, so the hilarious parts are definitely not lost on the fans!
I had to pause it to die laughing at "did you trick me?" Only Barry could ask that from prison after going through that lmao
yes absolutely
I had to pause and quietly laugh SO many times because I would watch this while my baby was sleeping and I didn't want to wake him up with how loud I actually wanted to laugh. The "did you trick me?" line got me.
It's funny how you found the "Did you trick me?" line so funny, cuz I found it absolutely chilling. Like, he was so far gone.
2 ways to enjoy the same thing.
The tone of voice he used really sold the line
From their first interview, you could tell conan was a genuine fan of Bill’s. I forgot which podcast but Bill has this incredible story about meeting Ben Stiller in high school I believe and reconnecting with him years later when he was on SNL and then going on to be in Tropic Thunder. Just seems like a good dude.
that was the mike barbiglia podcast (:
(sorry i’m i spelt that wrong)
@@cuticlemuncher thank you so much! I have the humira/larry david joke from that saved. I always wanted to animate that.
Barry is CRIMINALLY underrated, it's so dark and wonderfully written.
It's a television academy darling and has the 2nd to top spot on HBO's line-up. It's highly rated by basically every metric.
@@lnfreeman Yeah, in the States, over here (Europe), it's had a hard time pulling in the numbers. Which is just dumbfounding, as the show is remarkable. Easily up there with Breaking Bad, The Wire, Sopranoes etc, etc.
@@darrenmarkdouglas5073 uhh.. it's amazing as a comedy but no where near breaking bad and sopranos, because there's not that much depth to it. Barry becomes unlikeable after season 1 which was the best, and just about every character becomes unlikeable too, and since they kill off everyone there's literally barely any plot left after just 2 seasons. It wasn't supposed to last
@@OArchivesX Whaaaaaaaaaaaaat! There is LOADS of depth to it, the secondary character's are so well developed, and I thought the whole point was he is an antihero, very similar to Walter/Toney etc, etc. They are detestable in their decisions but that's what makes them so appealing. Appreciate the thoughts, see where you are coming from! I do stand by it being up there, the way it ended (some series go on waaay too long), and the way it was written with a clear arc. :-) Hader is a remarkable talent.
“Oh, wow” that part actually cracked me up lmao
Larry David’s reaction was definitely the same as mine when I found out there would be a fourth season.
But it is disingenuous coming from someone who did 11 seasons (so far) of "curb your enthusiasm".
@@amyjackson8725 to be fair Curb doesn't have a story TO end. It's just a comedy show. Barry has an actual beginning, middle, and end. It's an actual long running story. They're completely different.
And Larry has been known to since Seinfeld want his shows end on high note or end earlier (than people expect) also because he doesn’t realize how great (each story and season is) they’re. And he at a lot of times tends to partially in a way Despise (his own work included) the long running shows and regarding Curb Your Enthusiasm has been wanting it to be (cancelled or to end) but it hasn’t due to everyone’s love for it plus how HBO is loving it plus how much money it is making them and it will be their last season this upcoming year as well too.
@@amyjackson8725 brother curb your enthusiasm is like its always sunny in philadelphia in the way that they don't ever require an ending
@@amyjackson8725 What you are saying isn't rational.
Man… I’m only seconds in but I gotta say I love knowing Conan excitedly watched the entirety of Barry and with his son, like you need no higher praise Bill
Watching interviews and old bill Hader roles really just makes me realize how much he embodied this character. It's like I haven't seen bill in 6 years
I was talking with a marine vet and he reminded me of Barry! Made me realize how much work he put into the role that I didn’t appreciate
Love Bill doing Larry, hilarious. I always love when he's with Conan because Bill will always make him genuinely laugh. Some of my favorite clips to go back and see from the show are Bill's interviews.
I love The way Conan looked so sincere when he acknowledged the benefit of having a friend to tell you that’s dumb. I’m also so happy for bill Hader coming this far. Working for him or Conan would be a dream job! Even if I’m just cleaning toilets in the building to start. Just to be around the hilarious genius, talent, and most of all.. positivity that those two give off
Im here to say i laughed so hard at the “did you trick me” line
Barry is an incredible show. All these great characters have been given the space to develop. Hader is one of those naturally funny people that is quite rare these days. I’ll be so sad once the last episode is done.
They need to do a 'tales from Barry', dealing with all the people from the fringes.
I would LOVE to see a whole episode of Benet's by Mitch, where people come in, bitch about stuff, Mitch gives his advice, and they don't take it.
Just a full hour of people going over their problems, cut away to the recreations of issues or incidents, and then mitch giving advice, and at the end, just text recaps of each person, they didn't take advice, and what happens to them.

Her laighing wholeheartedly makes me laugh so much harder. 😆
Also Hader is a legend. ✊
Such a bitter sweet ending. This whole show was amazing and I’ve always loved Hader from his SNL DAYS!! 🩷🩷
That "it's like monopoly" line killed me.
Barry feels like what Dexter should have been.
@ESports Academy dexter should have been caught, slammed on the ground, camera zooms in on his eye while being handcuffed. Zoom out and he is in prison confessing everything to a psychologist. They then take him to the gas chamber. The show was narrated. Would have made perfect sense. Just my opinion
It's just like Dexter, two seasons of great well written television and a decent into terrible.
@ESports Academy Dexter should have never done that at all. They ate their seed corn.
@@redrick8900 Nah man Dexter was way worse.
@@HoopleBogart I'd take any season of Dexter of season 3 of Barry.
I laughed out loud at "did you trick me", great show
Gary Shandling: “How’s the staff? Do you feel like you have too many Yes Men?”
Conan: “Gary, I’d kill for just one.”
😂😂😂
Have always been a fan and huge crush on Bill Hader. He’s a guy of many hats. Not just a comedian but an actor and brilliant writer. Barry really put him on another level. He deserves all the success coming his way from it. Love his interviews with Conan because I see all aspects to him - not just the funny side but how insightful, thoughtful and humble he is.
The finale was excellent.
Love this guys! That episode was obviously too short!!!
The ending of the fred armisen episode has me cracking up for a good 5 minutes.
"that guy's here to kill me" 😂
Bill Hader, very underrated.
Idk how but they made me hate fuches in every season, but when I watched the last season, i loved his character development and actually made me excited to see him be the raven.
Barry will be missed 🥲❤️
Gonna miss the theme :(
Yes I’m gonna miss him I love Bill Hader 😭🙌🏽❤️
Loved the ending, really nailed it,cant wait to see what bill does next
@Team Coco is there somewhere we can watch the full vid? It's nice to be able to see everyone's full interactions in this setting as opposed to an entirely audible experience. Though both are still great!
BARRY was four seasons of greatness.
Many thanks to Conan, his crew and Bill! 💗 #TeamCoco #ConanOBrien #BillHader #BarryHBO
I'd just like to say, I love that Team Coco is having success post 'TV'.
You know what I mean...
All these people are talented and I'm thrilled they've been able to keep sharing their talent with us.
Except Conan... He SEEMS like the most likable star in show business, but I have 0 doubt he has 10 dead strippers in his closet.
They're not dead, they're tied up. Conan let's them out when Liza gets tired of his bits. It ensures he always has a captive audience.
@@zaz214 A for effort
They whisper “kedecai” when they need to use the restroom. Jordan’s the gatekeeper.

The 4 words BH did of Larry David were amazing spot on😂
The Raven was my favourite part of the final season. He needs a spinoff!
Bill you legend mate, cheers from England ❤
Bill Hader will go down as one of the most brilliant writers and directors ever. The dude never misses.
That was the best possible way Barry could end.
Hader is a great mimic.
I demand more Bill Hader!
Just saw Larry and Bill on Toast of Tinseltown. Lovely! 😂
Can’t wait to see the finale tonight!
the ONLY person who consistently makes conan genuinely laugh. like every single time.
I’d throw bill burr in that list
Norm.
@@LukeRojas oh, ultra true. How could I forget Norm.
First of all Norm, then Nealon, Olyphant, Burr, Joel McHale
Sona.
Barry had a way out, and a way to redeem himself. I was pleased that at the end he at least tried to do the right thing.
I mean, he clearly wanted to do the right thing in the moment, but throughout the entire show he's shown that he's just not capable of holding himself to that, he always reverts back to his old patterns (see "starting now", his plea deal, etc). I don't think he ever could have redeemed himself
@@emmalucas4177 The only way was to turn himself in to save another, which he was about to do. I feel like the end message is that people can only change by doing thing thing they fear the most.
Great episode 👏 👌 👍 😆
I love Bill Hader. I can’t wait till his next project.
love this
Man, Bill hader just tickles Conan's pickle
Like a kid in christmas morning. Absolutely giddy
I love stories of people encountering Larry David in the wild.
The ending of season 3 was the best and I even thought it was done. When I heard there was a season 4 I was skeptic but it was great as well.
2 things you can always count on with these uploads:
It’s going to be hilarious because Conan and the Chill Chums are the best and he does some great interviews
People will complain about not getting full episodes in the comments even though they have no idea how much work it would be to film and edit 4 separate people on at least 5 cameras over the course of a full episode and put it up on RUclips for pennies
They could use three and it would be just fine.
oh yea, Conan definitely does this for his own enjoyment and to showcase the skills and passions of his showbiz colleagues. The way they talk shop about the world they live in is something that I've just never thought of before, but to see them interact in real life makes a lot of sense to me now and it's both funny and fascinating to have a peek at it from the inside perspective. It's like when I find a tech nerd and we talk about the our industry or the latest thing, (except nobody around us has any clue what we're talking about,) but from a comedic entertainment industry background instead.
The Always Sunny Podcast is another great one for that too.
People can get the full show on the actual podcast. Be careful when driving though. Those episodes make me literally rotfl
The first minute Conan's sum-up of Barry, is exactly what i feel through all series but struggled to put it into words..."you just don't see the way out"
i love his sense of humor
Btw I had exactly the same idea after the season 3 - the whole show seemed to have wrapped up quite seamlessly. I was surprised when I knew another season was coming.
This show really gave me a lot of creative respect for Bill Hader.
I really hope the ending of Barry doesn't suck. Like Conan said, they backed themselves into a very interesting corner. Hopefully the finale is longer than 30 minutes
This season has been rocky for sure.. started off okay but the whole flash forwards are weird and ackward, rushed. Also the dude hitting the house with the car. Its hard to tell what is imaginary and what is real which makes it annoying to me.
apparently it's 35 minutes
@@devinmichaelroberts9954 yeah not to be rude but its very easy to differentiate the surreal and real stuff in my opinion the absurdism and surrealism clash to create a perfect balance of Dark drama and comedy season 4 is amazing both it and season 3 are best of the show the time jump didn't really ruin anything everything that happened between the 8 year time skip doesn't matter but it's ur opinion I guess so salute
@@devinmichaelroberts9954don’t think it’s rushed it’s just very faced paced and that’s a good thing, other shows are hour long slow burns so it’s good that barry does it differently
i haven't really liked this season, but oh well. First two seasons are great at least
fughes is hilarious af this season. The Raven.
Noho Hank too. love nono hank so much.
The “Did you trick me?” made me cringe more than laugh, but it was definitely a ridiculous statement to hear him say. Lol

I need that episode of curb your enthusiasm
With all the love I have for Hader's work and the show... Maybe he should have listened to Larry David. Barry's 4th is like "El Camino" to Breaking Bad. I enjoyed it, but could have lived without it.
I love bill hader
Barry is MASTERPIECE!
it was a masterpiece, until the last season haha
Bill so funny
Bill, that was such a slap in the face !
I launched the video but i had to go to the bathroom, let the computer play and i realized too late there were FREAKING SOILERS !!
Interviews like this put the traditional late night tv format to shame. This is an honest conversation about a fascinating process between people who really care. Very tough to do this on a typical late night stage with compressed time limits. So refreshing.
i didnt dislike the end. But it didnt blow me away, HOWEVER season 4 was incredible btter than the other 3 combined. The realistic portayl of life on the run..... WOW just perfect
where do i watch this entire episode?
Barry was a Rollercoaster. No spoilers but this last season was a complete tone change from the previous 3. I couldnt be happier with how it ended.
I was today years old when I learned you could find the link to the podcast in the description and listen to it without having to download any apps ... When did I get this old 🤣
Barry was such a good show
"I would kill for just one 'yes' man" LOLOLOL

This show ending broke my heart. Such a good serial. No ho hank, the raven, winkler, Barry…. They’re all great characters.
I hate what they did to barry in the end, horrible horrible😢
Never saw anyone have a better time
It's hard to imagine Hader as a production assistant.
You guys really need to get Larry David on the show.
I'm having to rewatch the first 3 seasons cause of my new gf. I've watched them 3 times now. I haven't watched S4 yet. I'm glad this clip didn't ruin anything.
Barry is simply one of the best shows ever. Please watch it.
