Ooooh my God Lynn, I'm so happy there's room for 20's in on this conversations. I'm 25 and for a minute i swear to God, i had this marriage pressure, and the more i sought it the more it pulled further, because unbeknownst to me, i hadn't bought into marrying, because i literally felt quite still young, jameni. This societal construct can be heated at times. I'm elated and waiting on those girlies in the next, i'm already intrigued at the thought of hearing the thought process of my fellow girlies in their 20s. I want marriage yes, but can i at least be bold enough to say, it's not just for me as of now, without feeling stressed that 'men will be scarce' ama feel threatened by all the social norms surrounding the 'late marriage' narrative.

Menopause is a phase not a factor for definition. Being a grandma is not personality or character. I loved this session today. I’m a 45 year old lady, enjoying my 40s totally since here we live with no reservation or regrets. We know what we want and we don’t hold on to what doesn’t develop us. About sex in our 40s, Judy is so right. We orgasm so easily because to us making love isn’t a chore or a competition. We know our bodies and we can guide our partners on how to please us without feeling shy. Women in their 40s have a higher sex drive than when we were in our 20s and I guess that’s why we resonate with younger partners in their 30s since our sex drives are at the same level. Amazing Panel.

At 40, we are more aware of ourselves, we ask important/difficult questions on dates and maybe it challenges the men and they see us as difficult compared the younger women.
But also at 40, we don’t know how to receive love because we have taught ourselves to be independent and we have been on the giving side of life.
At the end of the day, love comes to all of us. We just have to be open to see it and receive it.

Good and Real discussion, we need now a panel that will have Men on the table so that we get a balanced response from both perspective. My key Lesson is that everyone has different experiences as per the Panelist and my only concern is sometimes people respond depending on their experience which may be good or bad. But the best approach is everyone to know themselves and ensure a balance. An extremes has its own shortcomings. Thanks

..and you missed Akothee 😊..she should have been here
I have been thinking, every generation got fed stuff that made them who they are, good and bad. Most say 40-55 women were hammered to study and be strong and not depend on husbands. That's because their parents aka the generation before them had suffered the negative consequences of being dependent on men, so naturally they wished better for their daughters. In the process, all the liberal and feminist movements cashed in big time at the expense of balance and at the expense of these young women. So the women focused on careers and independence.
Meanwhile, their male counterparts fell behind with little to no support and mentorship. All these are gen x and earlier.
In comes gen y and millennials who observe the failures of gen x and older and also find themselves in the thick of technology and speed. So now they try to strike a balance. Notice how these ones get married very young only to divorce young too....they notice their parents utter misery and the labels of 'singo matha', 'old and independent spinster' and want none of that. In trying to be more super women and strike a balance they still end up also in their own type of problems.
Note now all kids grade 7 and below are from a totally different planet. Their share of problems is coming too.
So, if we all appreciate that ideologies fed to so called 'generations' are the problem, them we will all be ok in our lanes. It's about keeping to your lane and loving it
I dont think men are really 'afraid' of women. Just like generations and ideologies, they are also caught up in their situations which they dont understand, so they label it. They label 'strong, independent' women (if we insist on such terms) as 'old'. Then women label them 'afraid'. Men are just as confused, and to make it worse they have no male models and mentors. Women have all along had churches and feminist movements etc Men have not had these, actually their besties have been clubs, alcohol and sex.
Basically, its not those vs these, its just confusion. 😂😂😂😂everyone is confused and is confusing everyone else😂😂
Meanwhile, lets all acknowledge that a good or bad relationship will be just thay no matter our age.

Yeah I agree with you, ideas and ideologies have consequences.
