- Going to a reptile expo during this difficult time can be a bit scary, but it can be done safely. I vend one of my local expos in Minnesota and check out all the snakes, lizards, and other reptiles and amphibians in my first reptile expo in almost a year!

I was at this expo for a few hours, fairly early in the day, and somehow completely missed you. Would've loved to meet the legendary Dav.
I'm watching this video thinking " Safe?!? I see noses and mouths of the vendors being interviewed, closer than 6ft constantly...this isn't even the bare minimum! This is why we have so many new strains!!!"

I love your Reptile Expo videos! My favorite part is when you ask Expo goers what they got, they’re always so happy and I love that you do that! We have one in Indiana every year and the next one is April 18th! Come on down if you get the chance! I might be there to buy a Leopard Gecko and I’d surely say hi to you! I went with a friend a couple of years ago to pick out a Bearded Dragon there and it was really great! 🦎❤️

Michigan will be doing their first expo the second weekend in March. I've been really excited to go and I need a ton of stuff so I'm glad you did this video.
The grand Rapids expo has been going in Michigan. I don't know what area your from but I hear It has been worth the drive.
We're just south of Detroit so there's a city that has an expo usually every month. They're pretty big and I always find great stuff. G.R. is a little bit of a drive for us but maybe one day we'll make the trip.

It was good to see you there, everyone was masked but more importantly, not really that many active covid cases in the state as of this expo, according to state department of health, so I think the risk is lower than previously it might have been. I thought about bugging you at your booth, but I'll do that next time! The kids loved it, so glad we went.
My area show is the 13th and 14th of March. First one since September/October, when they had one weekend. I’m excited!

I love the shows that Go Lizards run! I don't think I've missed any of the Des Moines shows since they started up!
Pretty awesome that the hobby turned a life around and turned into a business. I know a guy with a similar story but it was radio controlled aircraft that was the obsession he needed to get off the wrong path. A simple hobby can give meaning and purpose.

I'll personally skip on the expos for now. Maybe one day things will open back up and I will not have to be wearing a mask how things used to be.

Nice log! I also love that you have left Kusko's "Rattle On" yell in on your intro's now. It amuses me. lol Also loved seeing those crested/sailfin newts you panned over pretty quick. Not many people seem to bring those to expos.

It's interesting how in different country's things are so vastly different. Here in canada having a reptile show would literally be illegal.

I went to an expo during covid in June and I didn't return because half of the vendors and people didn't have masks and people were shoulder to shoulder.

Repticon has still been running in Florida. They already had hand sanitizer at most tables before the pandemic, now they spaced the tables out and limited the number of people to certain time blocks. Seems to have worked well. I just went to the Tampa one this weekend and love going! I look forward to them a lot with little else going on. I came home some supplies and a curly hair tarantula, and my stepdaughter got a cute setup for some pet isopods. Just sad it'll be the last time I see tegu and some other species there after the FWC ruling :(
There happened to be a gun show in the other building... not going to talk about how many masks and precautions I saw over there.
As I was leaving the house, I saw a black racer in the front yard nomming up some little anoles. Can't get better than that to start the day!

@@sdqsdq6274 Yeah but if you HAVE to wear glasses to see masks are a PAIN as they cause your glasses to steam up and you cannot see!. As everyone seemed to be wearing masks at the expo He was actually quite safe. Where I live NOBODY wears masks!!!! They do not even social distance and some will actually cross over to walk right by me. I wear my mask (have done since before they officially admitted their was a pandemic) and get stared at like I am weird. I have found a way to minimise the steaming up issue.
I dont believe any reason to call people out let them be them you be you all be happy 😉

@@Madchris8828 Actually infection rate is significantly higher if an infected person is not wearing a mask than if a non infected person is wearing a mask, since their droplets aerosolize and get over surfaces that other people then touch then later touch their own face. So it's sort of a two-way thing. Still less than neither wearing a mask, but no where near as low as if both people were wearing a mask.

1 year and 2 months since the last expo here in southern Ontario Canada and I am going through serious withdrawal.
I relate to the bearded dragon guy my reptiles saved my life too.I never did any drugs or anything but i was in a lot worse place then i am not and i wouldnt still be here if it wernt for Torus my first ball python, who is alive and well today to not confuse anyone.He was the first snake ive ever held, because before i moved out i wasnt allowed to.
If you ever have the opportunity to showcase the Solomon island snakes that would he awesome, they are my favorite, ground and tree variety
CDC recommends 60% alcohol or higher for sanitizer.
Smallest reptile just discovered in Madagascar. It was found and us called a nano chameleon.
Dāv you gotta do a green anaconda “Are we keeping them correctly”! When travel restrictions ease up a bit if they are not yet. I’ll donate some money for the flight 😝 I plan on making a trip to Peru to see them in the wild myself
