Hi Dalene, many thanks for your channel. I have a Husqvarna Jade 35 but my foot pedal isn't working or at least the machine is not working when I press down. I've checked inside the foot pedal and everything appears okay. The lights come on ect when I turn on the machine but that's about all :( I just wondered if you could shed any light on the problem at all? with my regards Bernadette (UK)
Hi Bernadette, I have a couple of questions. Does the machine run when you use the start/stop button? Is the embroidery arm on when you are trying to use the foot control? If so, try taking the embroidery arm off and see if that helps.
I’m researching a beginner embroidery machine and this is very helpful. However I’m writing to ask if you have a pattern for the apron you are wearing in the video ? The fabric is lovely and the design is just what I’ve been looking for. I looked on your website and didn’t find it. Perhaps you designed it yourself. In any case I appreciate the video. The comments below are a bit troubling though.
I found the pattern at Walmart, I'm sad to say. This isn't exactly the same one, but is similar: www.etsy.com/listing/897627194/k4301-kwik-sew-4301-or-s9312-simplicity?gpla=1&gao=1&&CjwKCAjwjOunBhB4EiwA94JWsI5lK9JXmoWtmf-fA90dJCQWGZAvXYQQay6dWXE60CWfKR3WbKPtihoCC5cQAvD_BwE_k_&:pla-322726483858_c__897627194_140337871&gclid=CjwKCAjwjOunBhB4EiwA94JWsI5lK9JXmoWtmf-fA90dJCQWGZAvXYQQay6dWXE60CWfKR3WbKPtihoCC5cQAvD_BwE As far as the comments, there are always going to be some machines that come out of the box with some problems. Most of the time they are simple to resolve and are probably due to shipping. However, there are times when a machine has larger problems. You may notice that most of these are from 2 years ago. There were more problems than usual when we were coming out of the shut-down of the factories. I don't know if it's because they were trying to catch up and making more mistakes or what, but we haven't had as many problems in the past year or more. We sell a lot of these machines, and most people who purchase them love them.
Great video! I’m having trouble with my machine needle not going up and down smoothly (re-threaded everything etc) and the warning message “machine needs to rest” do you know what might be causing this and how I remedy it? Thanks in advance
Can you please help me I bought this machine a while ago and the first time I tried the embroidery out it was fine and the design came out nice but whenever I tried it again it doesn’t come out so nice and I don’t know what to do I have tried everything
Well, there are a lot of reasons that it might not look nice when you are finished. The most common thing I've noticed when people have problems is that the machine isn't threaded correctly. You have to make sure that the foot is up when you are threading the top part of the machine. What exactly doesn't look nice?
My mom keeps having trouble with the stitching on her Jade 35. Instead of making a normal straight stitch it wants to gather instead. Any suggestions to fix this issue?
I would check the thread tension. It should probably be between 3 and 5. Also, the stitch length can matter. If she has a really long stitch, it might try to gather. For a straight stitch on medium woven fabric, the stitch length is set to 2.5. I hope this helps.
I am not best please with this machine. Keeps stopping telling me "machine needs rest" while I am not even sewing anything heavy on it. I have heavy duty machine for it. My embroidery memory stick is damaged and for the world of it I can not figure out how am I going to get the designs I have to work with a new one as the machine can not read it. It is in correct file but still no. I have contacted Husqvarna, never received any response. I have just had it! Will be looking at different machine but not Husqvarna.
Thanks for the great tutorial Dalene!
You're welcome! Sorry it took so long to get it done.
Pro trick : you can watch movies at Flixzone. I've been using them for watching all kinds of movies during the lockdown.

Hi, I'm afraid that you will need to take the machine in to your dealer to resolve this problem. It could be a number of things.

I am sorry you are not happy with your machine. Where did you purchase it?
