About my brushes
I have always bought my favorite brushes from Drawell direct from Japan. They are handmade in Japan. Drawell will ship readily to anywhere in the world. The prices on their website are in Japanese currency but if you send Mr Maeyama an email he will give you prices in other currencies. Enjoyed watching the sketch through the completed painting. The butterfly wings and the details on the thistle are wonderful. Learning to balance enough detail with a loose overall look is challenging. This is a great guide for me along that journey. Thank you.

As a total beginner I was so impressed by your ease of teaching and amazingly I have my first butterfly and I love it. Water control is a problem but that will come with practice I suppose.

I love butterflies and I love the colors in this! I missed hearing your voice, but the instruction was great, as usual. I just love watching your process. I don't like the look of my watercolor pencil - I tested a quick little butterfly - so I decided to do it with glass pen and ink and I was very happy with the result!

Great video, very informative, one query, Why is all the materials you list from USA when you live in the UK ?
Most of the viewers of my videos come from America, and use Amazon, so I have put Amazon.com links in the description as a starting point. I am planning to use Jacksons from the UK for my UK links but haven't had time to do it yet. I will soon. In actual fact I don't live in the UK - I live in France but have Canadian nationality.

What kind of pencil do you use for drawing in the lines on the butterfly? I have colored pencils can I use those for the accent lines??
