A very naive ending, but great and promising beginning. People his parents age don't change. If you've been an asshole/tyrant to your children your whole life you're not going to change all of the sudden because your son told you in anger what he really thought of you.

Louis is a product of the 70s. Woody allen was big at the time... especially around the kids... and so he likes comedic realism.
You know you can do a movie in Maine without the bad fake accents right? Only a fraction of people up there still have them anyway.

The most awful movie. It's like a 9 or 10 year-old child has written the story. F you mom. F you mom. He's only 9. It's new to him. There are too many , maybe more than 100 swear words in this piece of... come on. Create funny situations. Create suspense, twists, excitement. A youngster swearing his mom and just swear word after swear word isn't funny. It's disgusting. It was so awful that many people left the theater due to the reason that about 30 minutes of the movie is solely swear words especially the F work. Louis Ck knows the F word. "I love you daddy " and " Fourth of of July " are the most meaningless and super disgusting movies.
This attitude is the problem with society. This is why your children hate you.
