I recently discovered this series and began showing it in class for my Spanish 2 students! They like it so much, they request it. In class today, I assigned them to read the transcript in groups of five. The students who chose not to pay attention during the screening were at a considerable disadvantage! So fun to bring the characters to life in the classroom. I will continue using this technique to help them improve their pronunciation and ability to converse in Spanish. They don't know it yet, but there will be a group video project to select and reproduce a scene. Thanks, EXTRA, for a fantastic learning tool. I'll watch the German version next :))

I know right!! after what feels like many years of not learning spanish after high school, I decided I wanted to study again and looked up easiest beginner level spanish shows. Now I found extras, thought nothing of it, maybe it sounded a little familiar. And right when I saw the opening i was like I REMEMBER THIS SHOW!
So basically all the extra series are all the same stories just with different characters speaking different languages. And Sam appears in all of them 😂
Oww, I came here to see how people who want to learn my native language are doing. The Tv show makes me remember when I watched the same for the opposite purpose (to learn English). For Spanish learners, this is a magnificent resource because it was made for that specific purpose (slow, a good pronunciation, Spanish accent). For a native speaker, this is too slow, too expressive, and how we behave is totally different.
Watched this many times without(sin) the english subtitles and(y)translated a few parts here and there.Thank you for adding the english subtitles. Makes my life(mi vida) easier.

This is the best way to learn a language not memorizing. Watching the a language being used a rapid pace I wish they would do this in school I’m almost fluent at this point and I dropped out of Spanish 2 in sophomore year
Not "olividar", but "olvidar". And sometimes you may face a word "consigo" - with him/her. But I am not sure that it's used in all Spanish speaking countries.

Interesting. Of my travels to Spanish speaking countries, I have always been able to read, write, and speak enough to get by, but ALWAYS had issues with understanding verbal Spanish.
