- This video documents Peoples Ford Boghall & Bathgate Caledonia Pipe Band's championship winning medley performance in the 2023 UK Pipe Band Championships.
The championships were held in beautiful Lurgan Park on Saturday 10 June 2023.
The band's Pipe Major is Ross Harvey and the Leading Drummer is Kerr McQuillan here making his first championship appearance in that role.

Love the fact to hear an amazing medley with pretty well known tunes.. harmonies and arrangements in the right places… ! Over the years medleys became complicated pieces of music sometimes hard to follow .. nice to hear something like this !

To be honest No surprise they won with this Performance For this is one of those times regardless the placing that the quality makes you want to listen I've seen BOGHALL was ALWAYS GOOD TO VERY GOOD BAND.. On 2 other occasions SOUNDED and PLAYED BRILLIANT worlds 1982 AND 1983 FOR ME. EVERY TUNE IN THIS SET WAS PLAYED AND ALSO SOUNDED BRILLIANTLY HERE. I honestly heard 1 tiny thing but not enough to put you 2nd HOPE THE BAND CONTINUES TO BUILD. I WOULD LIKE THEM TO WIN A WORLDS and be forth rightly REWARDED . IT BE GREAT TESTIMONY TO The BROWNS late BOB MARTIN late BOB ABBOT Neil Cranston Those that have passed away.👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏❤💙

I think the slow air is actually “Sad The Parting” and not Seonaidh’s Air.

They played seonaidh’s air at gourock but not in lurgan. I kinda prefer the new slow air.
@@robertdoherty6706 that is certainly not seonaidh’s air. Have confirmed it with a member of the band. It is sad the parting in this performance.

That's the name of the tune they start playing at that point.
v good sound although I think it’s a very boring and not at all challenging medley for grade 1
