Never apologise for bringing your "comfort items", I strongly believe that packing lightly means learning what things you won't need on your trip...things that make you find happy with yourself are definitely needed!😊❤️ I often bring more than one notebook even when I am packing super lightly because writing as I travel is one of my favourite activities and I enjoy writing different things on different type of notebooks (e.g. travel journal vs writing fiction). I'd rather pack one less t-shirt and have my writing stuff, to each their own. Hope you'll have great time in Australia, enjoy your adventure! 🥰
im from melbourne in australia and trust me when i say you dont need much, what you brought is fine. The only requirements you need are good waterproof boots, a torch, a warm jacket, a phone with a map app and warm weather and cool weather clothes. Plus your toiletries, socks and underwear.
I love when people like you get the opportunity to take a sponsored 'influencer' trip because I know it's a gift for us too with the travel vlogs, and I know it'll be fun and relatable to watch! It's always great seeing you travel, hope you have an amazing time! I'll be here vicariously living through your videos.
Watched this after watching all of your travel vlogs and you’ve made me start seriously planning to go to Australia next year it looks like you had the best time! Would love it if you did a video now that you’re back of ‘what I wish I brought/didn’t bring’ as that would be super useful 😊
Looking forward to watching your travel content hope you have the best time. The more you backpack the more you’ll know what you need and don’t need. Good luck with the hairdryer; not seen many hostels with them but defo worth an ask on the front desk for one to use.
Have an amazing time in Australia! Excellent packing video wish I could pack like this for a 7-day holiday I have in may as end up taking about 3 to 4 bags with me
Caz if you can pack lighter you will save so much time managing and transporting your luggage. I went from being a massive overpacker to a minimalist packer and it is so much better. Way less stressful. Whatever you decide have a great trip.
Australia is such a dream! So glad to have watched this, I also wanted to do solo travel to places like Paris and Greece. I always think that travel is made easier when you have the best travel gear and essentials too. The bento bag from Nomad Lane is my best carry-on bag for travels like this. Thought I'd share it with you guys too!
Don't even have a passport but still watched the whole thing. I am so bad with packing - I would end up packing this much just for a few days so very impressed that this is 6 weeks worth all in one bag! haha
Have the best time, I am off to Australia on Wednesday for 7 weeks too. R u staying with Molly and Tom when your in Melbourne if your going there? Love you videos x
I’m currently backpacking the east coast of Australia and have plans to head to SE Asia in march and honestly I think you’ve packed really well for the trip! You’ve defo been more minimal than me and I’m experiencing the consequences of it now when I have to squeeze everything in from hostel to hostel 🥲 (also a chronic over-packer!) thankfully my boyfriend who I’m travelling with has been helping carry the bag lol. Have the best trip! Maybe I will run into you in a hostel somewhere along the way haha!
Hi, I’m thinking of going to Australia at the end of the year for about the same time, I don’t know if you’re happy sharing this but id love to know how much you’re planning on budgeting for this trip as I’m not sure how much to set aside ? Hope you have the best time! Xx
hi! i travelled the east coast at the end of last year and spent about £2,000 in two months and this was just spending money so activities (including skydiving which wasn't cheap), eating, drinking, going out etc. obviously you can do it cheaper but i wasn't really keeping to a tight budget!
I didn't know Birkenstocks were popular in the UK as well 😃 In Germany literally everyone wears them in summer but apparently they are not at all popular in the US 😂
They are actually getting pretty popular in the US also. I'm in Canada and tons of people have them here but I've seen a lot of Americans with them also
Wow as a minimalist traveler this stresses me out to see you bringing so much but reminds me of how I packed for my first overseas trip from Australia to Europe for six weeks. 😂 Dozens and dozens of trips later and six weeks across three continents in two hemispheres is a 7kg carryon. Way less to manage. 😊 hope you are enjoying your time here.

As a carry on only traveller I will check that one out, thanks for sharing. My fave is Pakt One.

I think you can get a kindle version of the Australia guide book
Makes me need to travel asap 🥲 one day 🤞
I’ve got a commonwealth’s games baggage tag haha! It’s foolproof as literally NO ONE has one !
Enjoy Eve! You're going to have so much fun! (ps from a chronic over-packer, you've definitely packed lighter than I ever could!)
Omg hope you enjoy it so much!!!
I got bought an eye mask-earphones thingy. I like playing rain noise through it.

Thank you ❤️
FYI we have Yorkshire tea & wear make-up :) Enjoy!
Good luck have an amazing time are you visiting Molly during your trip?
Be super careful with your Birkenstocks! If they get submerged in water the cork will disintegrate and they will not be wearable!
