  • This is my first official Review on the Aussie RC Airspace channel, and hopefully the first of many.
A big thank you to Hobbyking for supplying the Me-163 V2, I very much look forward to what they bring out next.
Hope you enjoy this format of plane reviews, but please let me know what you like and don;t like about it and I will continue to refine these videos as I do them. Thank you all for watching and stay tuned for more.

I have a Komet V0 from HK that came out before the Durafly branded one came out. It had a pilot but no pitot tube, no spar and it came with a giant inrunner with mega kV with a tiny prop (4 inch?) and 80a ESC.

That old U frame aluminum spar beater you showed... If you'd rather not bother with making something of it, I'd be more than happy to build a frankenplane from it.

man this review is top notch i have flown and crashed this plane a few times i found out later it was my cg too far back. It flew ok but the final crash was when i tried to put a rocket in the back and the added weight with the already aft cg made her uncontrollable. I have bought a 2nd one and i am glad i stopped here to get some amazing tips thx for loving and sharing this plane in depth sir

Thank you so much for stopping by and for the kind words. Glad you got something out of this video, it's definitely great to hear that it's helped you with your Me-163. Yeah, CG is crucial on this plane as it's quite sensitive, so a bit too much one way or the other and it lets you know about it. Hopefully you'll have better luck with your second one.
Good luck with the maiden and happy flying. 😎

Beautifully done Vas. Hope to give mine that great setup. AWESOME PLANE. I've had 3. Great speeds/Performance from them. I'm hanging on HK to be back in Aus for another one.

Can you guess what it is yet ?? I think the J8M was the best mainly because you could see it

Hello, I really liked your review, especially how you showed the set up in your transmitter. I was wondering could you show how much the ailerons and elevator actually move up and down? Like 1/2" inch up and 1/2" down on the elevator, and 3/8" up and down on the ailerons, that would help a lot. Thanks again, and keep up the great reviews!

I will have to buy one of those travel measuring gizmos, but you're not the first to mention this, so I will do that in the future. Thanks for the kind words on the video and the support. 😊

Thanks for the quick reply. All I use is a ruler, I put it next to what ever surface that I am measuring (ailerons or elevator) and see how much it travels up and down. No real need for any fancy measuring device.
      Again thanks for your thoughts.

do you know the specs of the motor i put a classic 60amp esc in it and it just is not performing like yours they dont sell the trunigy 60amp plush one no more i did change some settings but then crashed now have to make a motor mount lol

Motor specs are 2836 2200kv. They can be found on the sheet that comes with the plane, on the HobbyKing website and I also listed them at the start of the video for you. 😉 If you can't get the original replacement motor at the moment, see if there's an NTM motor with the same specs, I used one a while ago when they were out of stock of the original and it worked ok. Surprisingly, it's not as fast as the original, but it's very close.
As for the ESC, you don't have to use a Plush ESC, you can use any ESC brand. My other Me-163's are using Hobbywing 60amp Skywalker ESCs, I just used a Plush on this one purely because that's what I had in my spares box. 😁
Hope that helps you out and thanks for stopping by. 🙂👍

@aussiercairspace well I have two of those stock motors now I was just wondering what settings are best esc to motor matching and my crash might be related to a faulty rudder servo it was chattering earlier 😳 iam going to replace motor mount probably disable rudder just in case and fly her again I did read on the esc manual I have that the pwm setting should be set to 16khz for out runner motor default is 8khz pwm

      @aussiercairspace  7 месяцев назад +1

Oh, you're going into uncharted territory there, I've never played with the settings on the ESC for PWM or KHz. There are only 2 things I do whenever I plug in a ESC for the first time; calibrate the throttle and set motor brake on (if required). Other than that, I leave it alone. I don't even play with timing or anything else. And even this Plush ESC I'm using came from another plane I bought secondhand, so I don't even know the history of it. LoL. Come to think of it, maybe I should swap it out... 🤔😁 Just in case it dies on me or something. 😬

Thanks. Yeah, they get small real quick if you're not used to flying little rockets with wings. It can fly slow-ish if you really wanted to, but where's the fun in that. 😜😁
