  • This is my detailed review of the XFly Eagle wing. I decided to make this video because I felt that there has been some misrepresentation on socials of the Eagle wing and I wanted to give you my theories as to why some people have found this wing difficult to fly and show you how to set it up correctly so you don't have these issues. Although it is very easy to set up, this also makes it easy to make mistakes and get it wrong. In this video, you will see that this is an awesome flying wing that can fly slow, fast, it's aerobatic and stands out from the rest with its unique twin EDF design.
    Hope you enjoy the video (sorry it's a little long) and thanks for watching.

    I'm amazed this plane flies as good as it does, putting those EDF's out on the tips really slows the rotational moment way down it's always better to keep the weight close to the center of mass and center of gravity....but dang this thing looks and flies great.

    I found you got it wrong, flashing red light is Stability mode, Solid light is AS3X mode. Also you can fly this on 3S lipo, which makes it more friendly

    • @aussiercairspace
      @aussiercairspace  3 месяца назад

      It's actually written in the manual that Flashing Light means Lock Mode and solid red is Stability Mode. I show this in the video, how did I get it wrong? Unless they changed their programming, I did not get that wrong.
      Yeah, you can fly it on 3S, but you'd need a bigger battery or add a heap more nose weight. I didn't mention this as it's not what the vast majority of people will do with this wing, but if it works for you, then that's great. Maybe I'll do a follow up in the future and I might even try to fly it on 3S to show the difference. 😎🤙

    Shame edf's are terrible on power efficiency that would make an amazing fpv wing.

    • @aussiercairspace
      @aussiercairspace  3 месяца назад

      There's probably 20 other wings on the market suitable for FPV, I don't see why anyone would try to FPV this wing. I, myself, have flown a few wings and planes in FPV, but you gotta pick you battles to suit your flying style. This wing's style and power system is meant for LOS flying and although you could probably hack up the canopy and whatever other foam you need to fit all your gear, there are heaps of the other options out there better suited to accommodate that style of flying. And they would be far more efficient, I'm sure. 🙂

      I know there are better purpose-built wings out there I was more refereeing to the fact that this wing is quite fast and really silent in flight compared to the prop ones just a shame about the power draw.

    I cannot understand how the gyro work ,although i put the knob to the max gyro and in the gyro mode (Red light fix) the aileron and elevator have a very short movement 1mm not evident . I am use to use Kopilot zohd where the movement are very Easy to improve .
    I am thinking to avoid the proper gyro and use the zohd.
    I have tried to fly buy It Is impossible to control ....
    using zohd Kopilot Is much Better ,but the 2 propeller are not indipendet
    What do you think?
    Or

      I have setup 2 of these wings without any issues at all using the stock gyro, so I don't know why you would only have 1mm of movement on your elevons, that's really weird. Is it the same issue with the gyro off? Have you checked your travel/end points, are they maxed out?
      I would've recommend using a different gyro for this wing as it is quite unique and it would either require a lot of tuning to get right or it simply just not work. It's up to you.
      Good luck and thanks for stopping by. 🙂

      @@aussiercairspace with the gyro off the movement is 20 mm exatly as i expected. i dont understand why it start the calibration ok ,but after in each direction up,down,right,left ,does'nt move as normal gyro. how many millimeter your wing moves with gyro on? on my there is no difference between red light fix or red light flashing.
      i presume my gyro is not function ....

      When I uploaded the video, the red version was available from the HK Australian warehouse, but looks like it's sold out now.
      Also, this wasn't free, I explained this in the video. I only linked HK because they help me out with review samples, but this one is not one of them. Feel free to get it from wherever you can find it. I know AliExpress have some, so maybe try there.
