@@andrewmitchell5807 unpredictable weather conditions wasn’t what made this course terrible, the 5 out-and-backs and incorrectly short distance was the issue.
The race was specifically shortened because of the icy course, I used to run this course every year, they deliberately shortened it and announced it to everyone that it would be shorter.
Nice! Pro tip- next year do the Louisville Turkey Trot. It’s next to Boulder but a bigger race, no hairpin turns, and the last mile is 1-2% downhill. The course is a bit short ~4.91KM, so about 20 seconds fast.
Power couple. Congratulations on the W. The race director needs to do better with this course. With that many runners they could afford to have it certified as well.
Awwww....Lee does his best - I think his races are fairly well-run! (Pun not intended.) I will say that that course usually isn't anywhere near that short - wonder if a cone got misplaced this year.
No turkey trots here in our part of Canada. We usually have a charity 5k of some sort that weekend though (and our Thanksgiving is early October). Nice running on that ice covered course. Our parkrun will be looking like that soon.
Turkey Trots or world class times. What was the point of this comment? Some inane humble bragging in a place where nobody knows who you are or cares. Weird.
One year I did a Turky trot in sub freezing weather. So cold I decided to keep my sweats on.. which was a big mistake!!! Because no one bothered to plow the course!! country road that wasnt even plowed in snow covered sweat pants...lol
I jokingly thought to myself that all of those 180-degree turns in your short 5K remind me of the "Pacer Test" you featured in your most recent video before this one (when you were running back and forth over 15 meters on grass). Ha Ha You kept having to change direction.
This course could have been way better with less out-and backs, AND getting the distance right. Also surprised the ice wasn't salted better. Congrats on a great run
Love you all racing. Great run, but 👎🏻 to that race! What an awful course, distance and crowd catch. (I'll let them have the snow and ice because Colorado in the winter is out of their control.)
next year I will pace you.
"6:30 pace, almost to a stop "
you two are great at voiceovers. That course is redonk but easy to plan or keep track of family doing it. Hope you had a wonderful rest of your day!
Great video and race by y’all - terrible course.
Cant control Boulder in late November, ice should be expected
@@andrewmitchell5807 unpredictable weather conditions wasn’t what made this course terrible, the 5 out-and-backs and incorrectly short distance was the issue.
Yup, it was strange to say the least. Might as well just have gone to a track.
The race was specifically shortened because of the icy course, I used to run this course every year, they deliberately shortened it and announced it to everyone that it would be shorter.
@@andrewmitchell5807 it was awful cuz the whole course was out and backs with full 180 turns and also the course was .3 short which is atrociously bad
Cold hands, warm heart! 😊You two are so cute together.

Oof.. that skating rink of a course was a groin pull waiting to happen. Great vid.
Great job out there! Love the double feature! Colder Boulder next?
Great video and commentary. Super dynamics!

Being an RD is tough, they do their best. Also: turkey trot, yo.
that has got to be the worst 5k course of all time. 5 180 turns and they couldn't even make it 5k.
Very surprising, all the roads are blocked off anyway just extend it, never even seen a parkrun off by more than 100 metres or so
Apparently it was a last-minute mod to avoid some even worse roads
Didnt know you guys had a code to buy stuff from soar, gonna get something rn, thanks!

3:37 “It slows you down even more”
Proceeds to go 4:50 pace
Back to back race POV vids. Love it!
Absolute banger. Love the style of this video
Great job! Congratulations to you both.
I think they say that you lose one second for every 90 degrees of turning you do when done quickly, so those turnarounds are 2s
I'm sorry, you're missing the required minimum Georgie content.
Nice video. My turkey trot had 2 running 15:20. A mid-21 got me 69th out of around 1000 , and 26th in my age range for my gender.
Much Love from England!
Thanks for the video. This was fun.
i have done 2 i did my 2nd one this year on thanksgiving. I ran the 10k in Mukilteo Washington

What foam roller does she have? I saw it in her 10k trail video and really liked it!
Wearing a singlet over a long sleeve is wild
What is the name of those shades ally is wearing?

Gotta love the Allie insert!
Maurten jelly breakfast for the turkey trot is scandalous
i love race commentaries!

I did a 10k yesterday does that count as a turkey trot
Don’t worry, I’ve had the same experience with 180s yesterday. Had 4 of them, and still surprisingly ran a 16:15
Your a menace that’s why😂

@tak-el-uc i used it now

You gotta wonder how fast Spencer could have gone if he wasn't pacing Allie
I’m curious what both of your resting heart rates are as runners.
Never got a notification
👍
👍👍
spencer come to joe creason for the parkrun every saturday the hill will slow you down
Turkey Trots are the best! I've only ever done two, but they were my two fastest 5ks ever (17:14 and 17:11).
Not a full 5km, fucking crazy
classic.
0 turkey trots.. but I usually get a run in.., the good turkey trots are too far for me.

Zero
5K 🤣
Yeah, you paced her. Like you paced her when she beat you at pushups, and beat you at pull-ups, and beat you at sit-ups.
Not fun.
Awesome race, terrible course. So short and those loops looked annoying.
Horrible course, but you had a good time.
Boulder hates shoveling and doing anything about the ice
This course is terribleeeee
what an annoying course
worst course
I paced Allie, there I fixed your title, no need for a possessive pronoun.
First.
