That small tube from the N75 to the airbox is the N75 vent. If you don't have anywhere to put it on your new pipe just add a small breather filter instead. K&N have them.
It doesn't make lot difference in a Diesel engine. It's better on a gas engine with a open exhaust...maybe you could remove on of your exhaust's silencer under the car, that's could make difference in sound, but i am not sure in a diesel engine👌
I was thinking about doing this to my 1.9 TDI golf purely because my intake pipes no longer fit correctly and rattle on idle. It’s only minor but the noise annoys me 😂
I bought induction kit plus a hard pipe kit for tfsi audi tt al did was put car on a slow mo or mess up ecu had the noise but way less power than stock filter .so I now have to have a ecu map no body tells you this
My MPG improved by around 7-10%....no DPF means the engine doesn't sit at higher revs, when doing a regen = saves fuel. Stage 1 ups the fuel pressure so fuel atomises better, burns better = more power less fuel.
Cool video Dave. So in total would it be worth it for that sound? Now that Its been A day since this has been posted, any thoughts changed? I’d do it because my Car currently is very quiet, and some fluttering Feedback would be cool
Not driven the car much....back to work tomorrow. Yes it's worth it for sound and I think I have seen a slight improvement in my mpg, I don't drive crazy. I will be running an mpg test over the next week to see if I am right.
Oh ive only just seen this video mate! Id put a post on fb about possibly getting an indiction kit for £99 from extremeperformance, bit do you reckon this diy kit you did will work just as well? 😮
@@whatsdavedone104 Ah nice 1. I was looking@ a KnN filter aswell which is similar price, just looking on forums seeing if the foam is better or the KnN material

+ more hot air , and does not matter if is there cheap heat shield = less power , and extra scratches on cilinder walls cause its not filtering lik OEM , buuuuuut ! ... Sound is worth it 😂 Good start to cheap tuning world .
True, ram air panel filter on my 2001 golf mk4 tdi 150, i noticed a different engine sound but... more dust on my maf sensor, not good for the engine, i go back with purflux stock filter
@@matteo512 race air filter make sence in extreme modifications like 2x more than stock power , than OK . And If someone think that filter for 50 pounds + stage 1 add some extra power than it's just placebo . Car will be more faster if I will loose 20kg on weight than air filter .
@davidvitez9357 the point of the video was to see if you had to spend £180+ for a full ramair system...answer is no you don't....didn't do it for power increase, it's a diesel they run with excess air anyway....but there is an improvement of throttle response and a gain in mpg, only small, around 5 mpg.

@@whatsdavedone104fair enough, but the large increase in fine road debris like dust, its not worth it because it all ends up going around in your engine oil like sand paper, betweej each oil change, adding premature engine wear.

Thanks for pointing me here Dave

I have dpf delete so there is a little more noise, not a lot. Don't really want to straight pipe my Cabriolet
@@whatsdavedone104 yah that’s what i meant 🔥🔥
@@whatsdavedone104 might be silly question but whats the difference between DPF delete and RES delete ? Is it good to do both or just one ? TIA
@mikailmikail DPF is a particulate filter....res delete is just a muffler
@mikailmikail you can do both or just dpf
remove firewall weatherstip seal to hear the turbo
Where is that exactly if you dont mind me asking?
the seal below wipers @@Sam-tw2sr
@@dissoc888 Oh ok my bad. And does it genuinely work lol?
yeah, i put cone filter but didn't hear much difference inside so i removed the seal and u can hear it pretty good now @@Sam-tw2sr

Looking forward to the key upgrade 👍

Yes petrol turbos are better mapped if adding intake.
My GTTDI was already mapped when I added my intake
It's al good to no al this it's my first ever Audi only hate about it is those horrible clips on hoses job stop temper boiling over with them
Interested in the MPG difference with this. What was the difference with the DPF gutted and EGR closed + stage 1?

Hi mate, did you get much smoke after the dpf delete?
I have no smoke from my car
You got a link for the heat shield you used?
Unfortunately not, I made it myself 🤷♂️

if its diesel it wont flutter on stock turbo as theyre vnt style
@e30boyy9 yeah only waste gated flutter. Don't wanna do it too much though so it's best to fit a blow off valve
