Your thermostat is bad....should take about 4-5 miles at 12⁰ to reach 90, then it should stay at 90 even when left to idle with heating on or off

@K2edg it's not a quick easy job to change, when mine was changed the mechanic said "it's easier to change the timing belt and water pump than to change the thermostat" 🙈🙈

@@whatsdavedone104 Bit of an update, Just changed the Termostat (yes not a very nice job to do) and then the very next run to work the car started a regen. I have done a bit of reading up and the car requires full operating temp and over 1/4 of a tank of fuel to do a regen, i am assuming i've had a carbon dpf issue too as it's driving like a diffrent car although i've not put a tank of fuel through it yet to work out the correct mpg. Thanks again, i can see how a stuck Thermostat could cause all kinds of carbon issues in the DPF and EGR. Bullet dodged!!

Yes, it works with factory parking sensors straight out the box....seen working in my install video

It can be turned off in the setting....can't remember off hand which actual setting it is 🤔

£300 is a little high....but it's not an easy job to change a thermostat on a mk6 Golf TDI. It's deep doen the side of the engine. Here is a quote from my mechanic when he did mine " it's easier and quicker to change the timing belt and water pump than it is to change the thermostat"

@whatsdavedone104 I think so. Not 100% yet. Sometimes 8t has audio. Sometimes it doesn't no matter what source I use. I havnt connected all the antennas yet so il try that 1st

What car is it installed in? Does your car have a factory Amplifier? I have had no issues with sound in my Golf🤔 from experience with other units I would try a factory reset and see if that helps.

VWA12S6G is compatible with both Apple and Android, fully wireless carplay, fully wireless Android auto. The main software it runs on is Android so you can install app from the playstore. No headunit runs Apple apps unless you use carplay

Yes....but I use an IR camera with no LEDs.. the LEDs are pointless as don't help with extra light when reversing

Little reset button top left, below the mic. Push it with a paper clip and hold for approximately 10 seconds so the lights start flashing and release. This will do a soft reset and screen will reboot

There will be a 12v wire on the back of the unit...it might be red, blue or green...what head unit are you running?

@@whatsdavedone104 it’s an android 13 one from eBay with a canbus in a vw caddy van they have sent me a picture and it’s the third wire but on the picture it’s a brown wire the third wire on the canbus on mine is pink. I’m not sure if I’m to join the camera to the plug in the stereo or the wires coming out the canbus there is a brown wire that goes from the head unit plug to the canbus box and it’s brown but not sure if it the right one. Every RUclips video says 12v but each is a different colour or says something different on it.

@@whatsdavedone104 do you mean the brown wire not the pink as the pink wire has break on it but comes out the canbus and goes no where. It’s the brown wire that goes from the plug in the head unit and the canbus box. I don’t have a 12v source in the back. The head unit picks up reverse when I select it it’s just the 12v feed for the camera I do not want to cut the wrong wire and I’m not sure about getting the feed from the rear light or reverse light. Crazy that all the head units and canbus boxes have different coloured wires be a lot easier if they had all the same colour wires in a particular order thank you for your help very much appreciated 👍🏻

I have never used a sim card in any head unit, hot-spot all the way 👌

@whatsdavedone104 okay thank you. I worried about my phone plan. It has a 10gb hotspot limit and it slows down after. I ordered a Sim card already with 30gb for $10 monthly. But at least I will test the Sim card for a few weeks before I shut it down. NY, USA

I can confirm the T-mobile Sim card works just fine.

@@whatsdavedone104 got the Kenwood DNX520VBT on stock speakers and it kicks arse ! Bought a dnx525dab and it was half the RMS output, sounded like a stock unit so went back to the DNX520VBT

I used carista app to reset the pump and clear the code

@lordpablo1985 know on left is front to rear fade left side and know on right is front to rear fade brightside from what I can work out...I have mine slightly front heavy

Sound to me like you need to unplug your Bluetooth module, unplugging it will reset it.

@whatsdavedone104 yeah I also wonder if it may be the the buttons just dead on the wiper stalk it self maybe which is weird cause wipers work, wiper fluid works just none of the buttons. I'm able to connect my phone with the Bluetooth button up above where the reading lights are but it just stays on the phone menu super weird.

@whatsdavedone104 also the module is under the passenger seat right? I did unplug that few days ago but nothing changed still would look to connect too my phone and what not after I plugged it back in

VWs canbus system is very sensitive to LEDs....doesn't like them, resistors are needed....the fogs and number plate lights both come with resistors so they are error free

@@whatsdavedone104 I haven't got factory fitted front fogs. THat is something I will probably do in the near future and I have bookmarked your other video for that project. The fog light I was asking about is the rear fog. I saw your other comment about the Philips Ultinon Pro6000 LED T10 for this so will probably buy them. Thanks again for everything you do! Legend! @MichaelJKeelan about 1hour 20 mins away 😃 the only bulbs I have found that don't throw errors are Phillips....cheap Chinese leds, including halfrauds throw errors 🤷‍♂️

No. Just installed the double din but I was moving my seat so could be a loose connection with cables. Different people say different things so I said I'd ask. ​@@whatsdavedone104

What car have you installed it in? Not heard of anybody having this issue before, upon install🤔 I did have an issue once with radio remaining on but that was due to sticking micro switch in the ignition barrel.

Did you get that fixed?

@@whatsdavedone104 The car is a 2012 Volkswagen GTI. I traced all the wiring did some research and found out the power from the car doesnt have ACC (Some cars dont have it I suppose) only constant 12V so on the harness coming from the car I cut the 12V wire that lines up with the Eonon power wire and ran a wire from cigarette lighter into the wire I cut cigarette lighter turns on and off with key switch. Im not used to these head units CarPlay pops up saying to connect to bluetooth when im trying to do something else and when im connected to bluetooth carPlay acts like its not connected but everything seems to work ok

@@lionintu yes in my car I dont have an ACC wire so I had to cut a wire off of cars plug, leave a few inches of wire to splice into off of cigarette lighter. I think guys are running a wire out of the fuse box as well but the cig lighter seemed less complicated lol

@Drummer0071 turn off the Bluetooth on your phone, open carplay app on screen and tap the settings cog....turn off carplay auto connection. Once that is off you control when car play opens rather than auto connecting 👍

Do you have the canbus box of head unit connected? Have you check the radio fuse under the bonnet?

The door display on the unit is controlled by the canbus box of the headunit...no wires need connection to the actual doors
