$0.25 Burger in Baguio, Philippines 🇵🇭

- I explored the 'Summer Capital' of the Philippines. Baguio is a mountain city in Luzon that's very popular with domestic tourists looking for some fresher weather.
A cooler climate is exactly what I needed after suffering in the sweltering heat of Manila. After travelling to Baguio I can finally roam around outdoors for hours and feel good.
I started my day at the SM City. It's a huge modern mall built on top of a hill, with open walls to let the cool air flow through. It's the only major mall in the Philippines without air conditioning. AC simply isn't needed in Baguio.
At SM City Baguio, I enjoyed a combination of two of my favourite drinks, Milo and Boba Milk Tea from a stall called Tiger Sugar. I took my delicious drink to the sky terrace on the roof of the mall, that is a popular place to hang out and enjoy the weather and view of Baguio city.
I could see a Ferris wheel near the mall so went to check it out. It was in the Sky Ranch amusement park which has some other rides, but the only one that interested me was the pirate ship. It was fun but I wish there were some more thrill rides there.
From there I walked down Session Road, the main street in Baguio, to visit the public market. My mission was to buy some fresh strawberries, and that was an easy one to complete. Strawberries are very popular in Baguio as the area has the perfect climate to grow them.
At Baguio Public Market I also enjoyed some strawberry ice cream and some delicious Filipino sweets made from cassava and ube.
My final mission of the day was to buy a Baguio t-shirt and that was neither difficult of expensive.
With my missions complete I rewarded myself with a burger. I saw many people queuing up at a bakery where dozens of burgers were being fried up. No wonder they are popular as it must be the cheapest burger in the world, at only 15 pesos, or about $0.25. What a bargain!
The next day I continued the vlog by getting outside of Baguio city centre and visiting a cultural village at Mount Kalugong. The weather forecast was for heavy rain but I packed a poncho and visited anyway. The forecast is for rain every day, so you just need to take your chances.
After a short hike around the mountain and a bit of rock climbing, I was surprised to see there was a coffee shop up there. I don't like coffee but they had matcha green tea, which I love. So I got to enjoy a nice cold match Frappuccino with an incredible view of the La Trinidad area.
I visited Mr Kalugong by taxi but returned with the local transport, a jeepney. I've seen jeepneys everywhere since I arrived in the Philippines but had never actually ridden in one, so this was my first time.
I ended my Baguio adventure back where I began it, at the SM City Mall, where I enjoyed some special Japanese ramen and another bubble tea. Yum yum!

Baguio is my favourite place in the Philippines so far. Every day is like summer in Scotland. 😎👍
❤❤❤❤❤Im from nearby province of benguet, its only 30 mins away from baguio and its literally have different weather from baguio in just a snap of your hand, it's like u enter different world😅
Dale try to go Boracay or El nedo beach it's nice beach
Ohh glad u love baguio.... hope u stay for a long time... also sagada province have a cold weather...
When are you going to get married
go to wright park and camp john hay for cheap horseback riding
I love how dale doesn’t care one bit about what all the strangers staring at him are thinking and doesn’t let them effect him from filming his vlog and doing what he wants to do
He's famous here, that's why he's getting stared at a lot.
if you carry around a camera and talk to yourself loudly anywhere in the world people will give you looks and stares, even if you're not famous@@apinezstats2237
People look at him with curiosity as he does his vlogs. Filipinos will not pass judgement on him. if you intend to watch the entire thing. People were quite pleasant and courteous, unlike other Asians.
Damn you must have a low self esteem if you think people looking at you will stop you from doing what you want 🤣🤣
Filipinos are usually nice people so most of those probably aren't bad stares, now in india everyone looks at him in a mockingly way
I wouldn’t pay $20 to watch a movie in a theater but I’d happily watch Dale for 2 hours on my tiny phone at home
Good stuff 👍
same
personally i pay $2000 and get an IMAX cinemea screen and projector installed in my home and watch dale philip
@jakepae8949 The only thing missing from me watching this on movie night is popcorn
Well done
Same here, I never get bored😊😅
I remember the days where people would look at you because they thought you was weird, now it's because they recognise you! Can't wait to see where your journey continues to take you
Dale’s the best travel vlogger, change my mind. No music, and pure video, just perfect!
dale and kurt kaz are the best
a bit to slowpaced sometimes but a really funny yet mildly autistic guy which makes the best combination
Dale: your man's littering, can't be doing that.
Also Dale after he gets up: forgets his trash 😂
ok
I noticed that as well.
I don't think he meant to though.
yer*
Hahaha I noticed that too 🤣 easily done though 😁
How did I just watch 2 hours of a video without realising it? Dale is literally the only person who makes 2 hours fly by like it's nothing. I love every bit of your video. Raw and pure entertainment and joy, thank you for sharing so much beauty 💗🤗
Man, the number of times you get recognized in other countries amazes me. Love your videos, I've never been past Canada (I live in the US) these videos make me feel like I'm actually there.
Dale's like a Superstar over there, he's no musician, no actor, he's just being himself. 👏
This video is so long that I had to watch it in two parts!
That box of desserts is so tempting, every item looks delicious!
So glad you found your backpack!
Baguio is a beautiful place, thank you for your introduction and sharing! 👍🥰🙏
The Filipino people seem friendly, and so lovely and polite, and have great English.
It looks a nice place to be. I Enjoyed that, Dale. 👌🏼
I’m a filipino who lives in the U.K at the moment and watching this vlog makes me feel like I came to the Philippines again. When you tried the foods especially the cassava cakes it unlocked so many good memories of mine. Thank you for this amazing vlog ❤️
We don't want you back
Filipinos seem like the friendliest people on this planet. It must be rough dealing with cold northerners in Europe.
Why arent you called Philippinos?
I can’t sit through others’ 30 minute vlogs, but I’m able to watch Dale’s hour-long vlogs in its entirety so easily. So genuine and entertaining. Enjoy your visit man!
Dale : What is my name?
Filipino stranger : I forgot, but i watch your vlogs
Dale : " Luke Damant" lol😆
Lmao can you pls time stamp this
I can't watch the full video😅
@drawforge3290 it's in the first 4 minutes
I also watch Luke Damant
I am excited as to what would happen when that dude meets the real Luke Damant 😂😂
03:26
what a beautiful, clean, safe and friendly city. i am impressed by Philippines. so many english speakers there. i watched the full vlog easily.
I like how he cares about his body and eats what he wants without being fat or something like that , he is an adventurer and a sportsman too💙
ok
2 hour episode, dale treating us good today haha love the new videos coming up time for some popcorn
first few minutes in and dale's already trolling saying hes luke 😆
Baguio is quite a unique city in the Philippines. Cool weather, cars yield at pedestrian crossings, honest cab drivers, and very walkable. And also the weekly Sunday Pedestrianization of Session Road where they close the high street for cosplay, arts, performers and mime artists.
I'm a local from Baguio and I appreciate how you tackled the jeepney phase-out going on in our place. Thank you also for showing your viewers how to properly tour our city because most people who visit us go to those expensive restaurants and places which doesn't really highlight the city's normal way of living and expenses. This was such a raw and genuine vlog, I subscribed immediately 😁
So nice people. I am terrible impressed
I'm a Baguio local and watched and finished the vlog all the way through hahaha, no skips! Thank you for visiting our city and glad you enjoyed it Dale! Weekends are packed with tourists and so we don't go out to join the crowd, we leave it for them to enjoy. I like how you easily blended with Filipinos, Dale. Nice content!
The Filipina girl wearing pink top dress at the market selling cassava sweets is so beautiful. Looks like a film star ⭐️
Thats why Dale keeps coming back lol

Not just Baguio, but the whole Coldillera region is a good place for chill weather. Motorcycle travelling is also a thing in the Philippines
I have been watching all of your vlogs, Sir Dale Philip, without skipping a single one since the beginning. I watch them both on Facebook and RUclips. Every time I watch your vlogs, I feel like I am right there with you on your journey. It's akin to reading a book and using your imagination. It's an exciting and amazing feeling. There are moments when I come across places on the internet that you've visited and vlogged about, and I feel like I've been there myself. But, in reality, I've only watched your vlog, thank you for taking me to places I have never been before, but through your vlog you made it possible. Sir Dale, you are an amazing person, and I truly enjoy every vlog you create! Please stay safe, and I hope you are always happy and healthy.
Time flies watching these vlogs. This was the fastest 2 hours ever. Dale is a spectacular vlogger and love all the detailed commentary about all the little things. Really special and never gets boring.
*I’m pretty shocked how cheap products are in Baguio as a Filipino myself* 😂
considering it is “touristy” area, can’t wait to visit Baguio
Banger video, Dale!
Also shoutout to all the filipinos - everyone seems so friendly and Ive never seen any situation from your Phil videos where it is a little sus. No scammers, no drama - just all around nice people =)
Watched the whole 2 hours uninterrupted.
More entertainment than a movie.
Congratulations Dale. You're living a good cool life
Dale, you persuaded me. I'm now thinking of taking a trip to the Philippines next year.
2 hours of Dale exploring food? I'm in.🧡
2 hours of Dale taking selfies with some fans and some other fans of Luke lmao.
@@MomosuzuNenechi😂
ok
The Philippines is so underrated. People should visit there at least once. Baguio is fresh and clean without tourist hustle. Perfect chilling place.
Incorrect... Baguio is crowded with tourists.. but the Cordillera mountains are different stories, amazing .
ok
People appear to be next level friendly. Try to talk to a stranger in the US, and they will most likely ignore you.
but the parking sucks!
@@eliolovesgaymovies1117 That's why whenever people ask about Baguio, I always tell them to not plan their trip during a long weekend or a holiday, unless you have plans to just walk to your destination. Bringing your car during those times will always ruin your trip lmao
Dales videos are an inspiration for people to travel. He gives you a real insight. 💯 no trash in his videos, unlike the majority of Internet 😂😊
If you want to explore some local cultures of Cordillera in Baguio City, you can also visit Tam-awan Village. It's not really a village but a small ecotrail that depicts different traditional houses. There used to be an art gallery where arts and paintings from local artists are displayed - I think it is still there. There is also a small hike/trail and a restaurant that serve local dishes. Best visit during summer coz it is slippery when rainy. Locals value arts and culture but gatekeep them a bit from tourists so the locations are not usually shared in google.
Lets all apreciate how much effort dale puts in hes vids keep it up man!
Those sweets looked good
Says a bot 💀
Im a Filipino living in Scotland since I was 15 years old, and it is just funny how unfiltered your vlogs are! All your vlogs, especially in Philippines, are hilariously relatable and it gets myself and the fam hooked! “Stick it in the gob”! 😂
PS: I watched the vid until the end (yes the 2 whole hrs) so I guess I’m one of the so-called “legends” 😏
I've been watching your videos on yt shorts, and I finally gave in and subscribed yesterday. I have to say, it is really refreshing to see this content. No faking, no lies, no controversies, not a single care about what people think or say, no trends. Just real life, nowadays you don't see honesty. I uninstalled all my social media because I am tired of people on the internet. But this, it should be like this. Just, peaceful if you like it you're welcome, if you don't, f*** off. Nice to get a break from the horrors of internet people 🙏🏻 well done Dale, well Done. That's a real person doing real things. Keep it up!
One of my favourite videos. Watched through the whole thing. Really loving your Philippines series and the long videos. Looking forward to seeing more content like this! 👊
Thanks Austin ✌
Are you kidding? will not even miss a second form your vlog, this is solid 2 hrs thats the number I want see in all your vlogs , you are the best travel vlogger mate!
Dale is so good about people wanting pictures with him. good for him
Because he is carrying a camera. People ask me to be on the photo even without carrying one.
ok
I disagree in the start you can actually see him ignore the girl at tiger straw who clearly took her phone out and was about to ask but got denied lmao
Fans ask for a picture and he says yeah and literally keeps talking and turns away doesn't even give the person a bit of attention for a moment...
Filipino here living in the Highlands of Scotland! Thanks for your vids Dale, makes me feel like I’m home again! Enjoy my beautiful country 💕
You are so humble Dale- you have almost 3 million subs and still act happy when you get one new subscriber, you are like a celebrity to some of these people but are SO down to earth.
Hi Dale,Thank you for visiting and featuring my city ( Summer Capital of Philippines ).
Where are you from Baguio?
@coolme653 I live 20 minutes away from Burnham park. If you're planning to visit the city maybe month of December is the best, coz right now, it's typhoon season and I'm afraid u would just be stuck on your hotel 🤣. If you're looking for some local deli foods, just stroll the city many street vendors are there .🙂
This guy could be one of those that put out new content everyday but I'd still probably prioritize his videos before my work tasks..great vlogs!.
Never been invested in a vlog before. Something so earnest about the way you tour the area Dale. Can’t wait for the next one!
amazing i really enjoy this moments
the drink must be good Bubble tea
Dale just blessed us with a cinematic vlog experience.
Hello Dale, the best month to go Baguio for very cold weather ranging from 13 degrees to 8 degrees celsius is from November to March but December to February is the coldest...
I'm so happy you're enjoying my hometown. I'm overseas rn so I'll just live vicariously through you. Thank you for this 🥹
Beautiful baguio place.
Amazing I'm look place cool
Mt. Kalugong is located at La Trinidad, capital town of Benguet Province ❤ the farm that you seen from atop is where the strawberries are grown.
This market is tidy and organised and the locals are friendly and well disciplined with how they behave in such a crowd. Love the place.❤
Just want to let you know that Ive watched your blogs since the beginning and you allow me to travel the world (mostly Asia) with you! keep it up Dale 🎉
Dale, great video, long, interesting. Hiking trails, views beautiful. Ramen looked delicious. You bring us all with you.
Dale i am a filipino and i’m telling you our people are simply one of the most happiest and friendliest of all and i hope you’re loving our country ❤️💯
He's not loving our country hehe He just made content for RUclips
@@edwinponsicaibis3986he can do both, especially if u r happy in life 😂
surely better content than yours, don't be jealous @@edwinponsicaibis3986
that region of the philippines looks more alpine than subtropic like the rest of the islands. You see a lot of pine trees and hills, a lot of clouds, it looks like a wonderful place to visit
They call it tropical pine forest 😊
I watched the whole video in one go without skipping. Was enjoying it very much! I forgot all troubles of daily life. Thank you, Dale!😊
I wasn't aware that YT would remove Dale's heart from my comment when I corrected "live" to "life" 😆. But anyway, I saw it 😃
I appreciate the subtle, editing transitions/pan shots! Especially, the flashback to the pine tree outside your hotel! Makes your content even more engaging. Keep it up brother 👌
Dale is a walking billboard that proves that Scotts are super nice people.
Dale making longer vlog than most movies...
Been following Dale's vlog since I can't remember when (lol) but one thing I noticed and like about him is he never wastes food. If he likes it, he finishes it. If he doesn't, he gives it to others.
Dale I can’t get enough of your videos your journeys are amazing your personality is a breath of fresh air I hope your enjoying yourself and stay safe ❤
1:36:36 she said we don't have views like this in Canada. She must have never been to British Columbia. Vancouver / Banff/ Jasper has beautiful views like that
Ikr…
"pambyahe" is not exactly a name for the strawberry variety; in filipino it simply means something good one can carry when traveling
I never skipped any of your videos, Dale. It makes my anxious days get a bit better. Your vlogs are entertaining. Enjoy Philippines, I hope I can meet you here!
Enjoy watching your blog Dale glad your enjoying your stay here
Dale didn't notice it. SM Baguio was actually designed to look like Cruise Ship on top of a hill😅😉
😹 he didn't even notice MT KALOGONG is shape of a HAT "kalogong is kankanaey of a hat" 😻
People waited for you to finish your burger. Filipinos are so respectful. Its not like that here in Nepal.
Nice to know that Baguio has sidewalks for people and not for vendors to install their garbage forcing you to walk on the car lanes as it happens in almost the whole Philippines. Nice video
I'm in New Zealand. Sat down and watched the full 2 hours without skipping. Love these long videos. Awesome Dale. Thanks
Dale, you are becoming the best travel RUclipsr here. You, Mark Weins, Sonny, The Food Ranger, Bald and Bankrupt and Harold are my top 6 currently. Luke Dumont, Kurt Caz etc are close too!

Watched all the way through! Love your work Dale.
I have seen this video like 3 or 4 times from mobile phones, laptop, pc, tv and still it seems that I haven't watch it full daaang even though I have seen it full and this is the actual problem with long videos :P Fantastic keep it up :) You are the only blogger who cover all the topic like food, market, tour, travel, interaction, selfies everything in just one video
I'm glad you had a great time visiting Baguio! It's personally one of my favorite cities to visit in the Philippines, especially during summer.
Your good with the people and you can’t beat the Filipinos for friendliness. They are the best people. I visited in May/June
love this vlogger. he's not a picky eater and does eat street food nice. also you ate that cassava like a local. nice
Absolutely crazy how many supports out there props to you dale your a great man !

Loving these long hour vlogs! ❤️ ideas of places you should visit in the Philippines is Cebu (I’m from there!), Bohol, Davao city, Siargao, Boracay. Much love and support from Edmonton, Canada 🇨🇦
You made me laugh when you said that with the cheap burger not many of your followers would remember back to 1970's, Well I,m a follower and was born in 1950.!! Great stuff keep vlogging,:)
As always loved your vlog. The First person way of vlogging and minimal editing is the best! I've been watching every second of your vlog for the last 2 years!!! Please do consider going other east Asia countries like - Vietnam, South Korea or even China as well
Dale's the only vlogger I can watch for two hours and then watch again straight after. He is so entertaining!
Hello Dale! You probably know me because some of my comments blew up on your shorts. Just want to tell you that you are my favourite RUclipsr. Thanks for making banger videos.
