You want an awake, more loving church?
Of course you do. Who doesn’t?
The reason you want a more loving church is that you think less gossip, more kindness and compassion leads to a happier weekend experience for you.
But here's what may surprise you.
A more loving church-a church whose members embrace their role as the light of the world and sacrifice self for the entire body-also ensures pivotal, powerful encounters with the community, daily.
Here’s something else you may know but are too often unconscious of.
God expects nothing less.
God expects your church to be full of self sacrificing members. How else can your church be the body of Christ?
How can you draw people to Christ if you’re not like Him?
How can you be Christlike unless you’re like Christ-full of self-sacrificing love?

I am lost of words. I see myself, God have mercy on me always. Thank you Lord for this sermon.
Powerful sermon Pastor. Each day I am accosted by the enemy. I had thought myself to be a light on the hill oh but to see now how 'visible' I really am. It is that visibility that the enemy calls on time after time. Lord help me to be invisible in the flesh. Help me to turn all my responses, all my hurts over to you. Less of me and more of you. Selah!

Thank you. What a powerful sermon. It’s too late for me as I have moved into the desert, at first reluctantly but witnessing God’s glorious state of reshaping my character I am thankfully free of religions. I was with SDA for only two years. Within that time I had spoken to the pastor about leaving the church each Sabbath empty from not being spiritually fed. I searched for some form of enrichment of faith to be available for me to be directed to our Father and found none in the other churches in our same faith. Jesus is coming sooner than many of us are ready to know. But as I have been under spiritual attack since leaving I find I am being trained in warfare due to these attacks on faith. I will continue to take direction from the word of God trusting His son Jesus to guide me where His church can no longer, in it current condition go. God’s continued love and guidance to all. Study Christ the living word of God and with application as dear pastor has said...our light will shine.

When you study the meaning behind the articles in th Holy Place the truth is revealed.
In the Holy place has 3 articles of furniture..
The table of show bread (the word of God)
The alter of incense (prayer)
The 7 branch candle stick (Witnessing. Letting your light shine. Christ is OUR light, it is his light that the world needs to see, not how good we think we are, or are trying to be, this is not our light, this is vanity).
These 3 articles show how God sustains the repentant sinner.
After we are born again, this is how we are sustained in our walk with Christ.
If you own a bible, you have a smorgasboard to feast upon. Church attendance is not a spiritual mainstay, it is a morcel compaired to what we should be consuming of our own accord.
Church is for gathering to praise and thank God for everything known and unknown that he has done and will do for us. The focus is upward bound.. singing TO God, praising God, thanking God. It is not a social club, so why look at your imperfect brothers and sisters and expect perfection when we ourselves are far from perfect. All good deeds are acredited to the Holy Spirit, the sins belong to us, and any attempt to feel righteous or better in any way than our brothers and sisters in the faith is viewed by God as filthy rags. AlL good deeds done through us by the spirit belong to the spirit.. all we have to do is make ourselves available for the service of the Spirit's purpose, our other responsability is to love one another.. The church is the body of Christ. I (a finger) cannot be separated from the rest of the hand, otherwise i am separating myself from the body of Christ, not can i be at war with my brother or sister (the thumb). Christ member do not war against eachother, or the body falls appart.
Love, tolerance, patience, respect, kindness, and more love. This is how we stay connected to our Church body. Every pilgrim is at a different stage of their walk with Christ, keep yout eyes on Jesus and only Jesus. Own your lack of devotion to reading God's word and stop looking to others to feed you milk.. if indeed you are the light on the hill that you consider ypurself to be, after 2 years, you must know your bible back to front by now. If you don't, you now know where to start. We are personaly responsable for our own spiritual growth, not our Pastors, or fellow Christians. If you have come to feel empty, open your bible and feast... move from milk to solids... Feast, pray, and give thanks to Jesus who died for you.. the rest is up to you. There are no shortcuts or excuses for pointing the finger at those around us. We have not been appointed as judges of our bretheren, remember, how we judge is how we ourselves will be judged. We have only one Judge.. the Almighty Father and Creator of all. He will prune the vine, not us. We and only We can bring ourselves closer to God. Repent, give thanks, pray, feast on the Word of God and focus on doing The Father's work. Sow those seeds so that the Holy Spirit can do it's great works. Focus on salvation and the Sacrifice on the Cross. Leave no room for the critical spirit to take hold of you again.. that one is not of God.
Pray daily for wisdom, and ask for the Holy Spirit to fill you and take away the critical spirit. Humble people do not point fingers, that is for the self righteous.
Look to Jesus and only Jesus.
All the answers you seek are in your bible. It's time to start digging 😊💕
Matthew 7:13-14 NKJV
“Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.
God bless and graft you back to the Vine, before the pruning commences. Sunday Law is almost upon us. If you can't stand during a simple test such as scriptural devotion, how do you expect to evade the mark of the beast?
I too was out of Church (23yrs).. but i had enough of a grounding to discern that we are almost at the end.. Hollywood is convincing the ignorant that they will either be raptured away or get a second chance during a tribulation. We know the bible doesn't say that, but the world is too lazy to check for itself, and prefers to go on heresay.. Jesus himself said that the end days will be like the days of Noah, marrying and carrying on like any other day.. and then they will be taken by surprise.. like the foolish virgins..
Matthew 25:1-13 NKJV
“Then the kingdom of heaven shall be likened to ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. Now five of them were wise, and five were foolish. Those who were foolish took their lamps and took no oil with them, but the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. But while the bridegroom was delayed, they all slumbered and slept. “And at midnight a cry was heard: ‘Behold, the bridegroom is coming; go out to meet him!’ Then all those virgins arose and trimmed their lamps. And the foolish said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.’ But the wise answered, saying, ‘ No, lest there should not be enough for us and you; but go rather to those who sell, and buy for yourselves.’ And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the wedding; and the door was shut. “Afterward the other virgins came also, saying, ‘Lord, Lord, open to us!’ But he answered and said, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, I do not know you.’ “Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man is coming."

Alicia Blanco Dear one, I'm sorry that you could not understand my realization. I don't rely on "church" over Jehovah. Not one of His son's disciples stayed in one place. They themselves wrote to churches forming the New Testament. Each one died in service. Each church faded into new form until now.
Rev. 3:13-16; He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.
14 And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God;
15 I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.
16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.
I "hear" what you are saying. But as verse 13 reads... He that hath an ear, let him "hear" what the Spirit saith unto the churches.
I'm listening to the spirit. You can find all the fault you want with me. I am not reliant on your judgment to my place in the kingdom to come. Meanwhile, the final church will addressed with Ezekiel the whole chapter 9. Jehovah sends destruction to His house FIRST because those found most responsible for "falling short" of His glory are those called as His own.
2Tim. 2:15; Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

The accurate read is: Satan will work his miracles to deceive; he will set up his power as supreme. The church may appear as about to fall, but it does not fall. It remains, while the sinners in Zion will be sifted out-the chaff separated from the precious wheat. This is a terrible ordeal, but nevertheless it must take place. None but those who have been overcoming by the blood of the Lamb and the word of their testimony will be found with the loyal and true, without spot or stain of sin, without guile in their mouths. I want to study like the old timers studied. What I am understanding is revealing, to say the least.
My walk with God is on more solid ground. That's what I sought in my going to church.
You will not shame me out of God's divine presence. I want that for all. But as each one qualifies him or herself by their ability to be transformed in character by His Holy Spirit as described in Gal. 5:22,23; But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
Know that if the church lacks this...the Holy Spirit is not there. And guilt is not faith. So please refrain from shaming me as I don't find shame in my walk with my dear Savior, only joy.
@@ERICA1288 great to hear you are so closely walking with the Lord. I feel you, the church lacks allot of spirit...but I believe the days are coming the church will wake up and become mighty tools for God!

I think he is using the term metaphorically. Satan couldn't have dominion over her of her mind was focused on God.
