Thanks for another great video. Those bat wing mowers are super nice to have. They do a great job of mowing. Hank you did a great job of trading your old truck for the bat wing mower. Good trade. Nice work. Thanks for everything Hank. The Iowa Farm Boy. Steve.
Can't you extend the drawbar farther back? In the manual for the Bush hog they have a minimum measurement from the pto shaft to the draw bar pin hole. Cutting the shaft will make it possible to hook up but you won't have as good of a turning radius. I wouldn't recommend anyone Cutting one of those pto shafts because of you mess it up a new one is gonna cost you dearly.
@hhamilton1970 we run one just like that with a 45 pto hp tractor and we have hills. That tractor should have enough power. We've already run it with a 550 oliver and that is closer to 40 pto hp
Howboutcha !! That baby is gonna cut your mowing time in half !!! Thats a good thing of you got an open cab like that 5075e but with your rig and the ac and radio on slow and steady wins the race 😂 i would trade is back for a 48 inch and spend all day out mowing jamming out with a hooded sweatshirt on!!@
@@hhamilton1970 interesting. I just had a BH250 backhoe put on my TYM 4820 over the winter and haven’t pulled it off yet to run any 3pt attachments. Now I’m curious if it will interfere with my draw bar. 🤨 I don’t have a need to pull a bat wing yet but it is a problem I would like to have! 😂
Cant imagine that tym having any problem running that as a mower , now if you use it as a brush hog in heavy wet thick atuff then it will probably bog it down pretty good . We run a 5ft brush on a new holland 1220 maybe 16hp at the pto just because its small and nimble to get into places and it does just fine with it
The drawbar needs to be 14 inches from the end of the pto shaft on the tractor to the center of the hole in the drawbar. If it's not that measurement, you need to adjust it so it is that measurement. Then check the drive shaft for proper length!
Good video i like any thing about tractors and Home steading, and I really like that you don't care to admit when you don't know something like Welding and cutting the shaft. that shows your real about what your doing I can't weld much good too and that's okay, keep us up to date on if the tractor will run the bat wing.

You definitely could do that

I was wondering where you were when I saw that sandy soil.
You cut both off to be right Hank
👍
Another great video Hank. What the name of the video on the new pole barn you built? Thank you for all the videos on both your channels.
The first in the series drops tomorrow afternoon 👍 thank you for the kind words
Whenever you finish mowing blow or power wash the debris off the mower......helps keep it from rusting
Right on
you’ll love it. pulling a bw12 behind my massey ferguson 1749 and dont have any issues at all.
Right on 👍
Did you check to see if your tractor drawbar will extend out
It doesn’t with my backhoe subframe on it
Batwing! Good trade
😁

Lol! Right on
You cut the wrong shaft.
Cut the input not external
Somebody needs to talk about the elephant in the livin room……. A new pole barn?? 😎🙏👍🏻👊🏻💪🏻
LOL. That video is out this week on the main channel. 👍
More toys for Hank! 👍🏼
Yes sir
your tractor hitch need to be back at least 8-10 inch more too keep from binding when turning
I’m trying to understand why you need to cut the shaft. Why don’t you just pull the pin and slide the draw bar out further?
It doesn’t work like that on my tractor because of the backhoe subframe

Hank, the bat wing looks like a perfect match for your terrain and needs. Good trade, young man!
Thank you
I think that you should be able to get TYM red. Check at tractor supply. The paint 🎨 may be a little bit less than OEM.
👍👍
Run like a Deere , smells like a john!!!
lol
Just curious how mine horsepower is your tym you might have mentioned it in the video and I missed it
55hp
