I definitely piloted my way around Hydroblasts for a win at my paper event by only showing non-red cards. It's a good time. I got blown out by End the Festivities tho lmao
This is a fun deck! Hindsight is 20/20, but game 1 of round 3 probably should have been a win for you. The opponent was on 2 life, and there were numerous sorcery-speed things you could have drawn that would have gotten you across the finish line, so you should have cracked your blood tokens precombat. I also feel like you squandered some opportunities to kill that Gurmag in game 1 of round 4 by throwing two burn spells at it. You certainly could have gotten blown out, but that's better than letting their 5/5 go coast-to-coast, as it did in the event.
@markolson8569 I did tank pretty hard on that last turn of round 3, I cut a lot of the dead air of me thinking of the right line. 2 life is sort of rough as I needed to draw a burn spell which all the 3 damage ones are instant speed or 2x 1 damage ones like Epicure and Ping land. I also needed to hold up the pump from the Walla to survive so I thought I made the safe play because Snacker would win if I live that turn but alas it was not to be. The Gurmag was incorrect threat assessment from me. I assumed they were on control/Terror not fae so I expected another threat so thought that dealing with the Gurmag wasn't worth the burn spells when I could draw one more to win. Incorrect decision but I would have felt worse if a bolt on it got Stuttered.
Just looking at this deck I think you want access tunnel over the landscape. Getting in with rootwall guaranteed through board stalls seems better than cycling flavor text. I'm also toying with burning tree, and bushwhacker as a sideboard juke for the combo.
The landscapes were the only change I made as the original list had too many taplands. I was trying to find a way to have more untapped lands but have ways to still get green mana and the landscapes fit the bill. Escape tunnel is cool for those last points of damage but I don't know if it worth having another potential tapped land. Might be worth trying 2 over the 2 tapped dual lands.
It doesn't really do enough. It is great in a spawn heavy deck or a combo deck with repeatable creatures coming into play. This is neither of these. It is a little mediocre as a 2/3 for 3 and if you use it as discard value to unearth it later it will only be doing a couple of damage, especially if it can be blocked.
The deck being so color diverse that strands couldn’t do a thing was really cool

What a spicy list !
So sad you couldn't be able to combo off more often :(
I can't wait for the next video ! 🙌
At least I got to show it off once. A little hard against the interactive decks but that's what we play the matchup lottery for.
Love seeing Ankylosaur in a league even if it involved him getting wrecked by the tricolor strands lock haha
BANGER THUMBNAIL
The Seeker art is just too good for me to want to change too drastically. The Walla and the Bolt fit in pretty nicely.

ohh I never knew this combo existed, it's actually super cool
Liked the deck! Good decisions too!

Congrats on the White Weenie wins!!
Thanks. I'll get a win in a top 8 eventually 😅
Very happy to see more gameplay of this combo :)
What did the author face during the 4-0 in the LGS?
@@sergiosanchezruiz4567 U Terror, GB Glee (with Thermokarst?), UR Control and RB Madness. Which I thought was a decent spread of matchups.
@Kirblinxy Indeed It was. And yours too!
Dredge and madness had a baby
What u think about Molten gatekeeper ? In Main or sideboard
