First pauper deck I bought when I was getting into the format this year was pauper, definitely gonna take it back to the LGS tourney this week since I haven't in a while any thoughts on bayou groff in the deck, I'm currently running it in a 3/2 split with ledgewalker
also if you're looking for interesting things to play, I've been having a ton of fun with temur ponza, card draw and extra land fetching make the deck feel way more consistent and I've been winning a lot with it Deck 4 Arbor Elf 4 Utopia Sprawl 2 Wild Growth 3 Mulldrifter 4 Lórien Revealed 4 Generous Ent 4 Boarding Party 4 Annoyed Altisaur 3 Avenging Hunter 4 Mwonvuli Acid-Moss 1 Highland Forest 1 Rimewood Falls 1 Snow-Covered Island 11 Snow-Covered Forest 1 Snow-Covered Mountain 1 Volatile Fjord 4 Skred 4 Thermokarst Sideboard 2 Breath Weapon 4 Deglamer 2 Cast into the Fire 4 Red Elemental Blast 2 Crimson Fleet Commodore 1 Gorilla Shaman
I'd only run Groff if you run 4 Young Wolf. The fact that Groff costs you a card means that if it dies it sets you back significantly but with both Young Wolf and Nest Invader that should leave you with enough fodder so the Groff doesn't feel like a liability.
Im a bit newer to pauper myself, but what do you think of deaert's due? I think it has some interesting space to play in that it lets you play "mono black" but with colors, but maybe it just ends up being straight worse than defile? Id love to see you try to maximise the power of desert's due, and love your content!
The problem with deserts due is that it costs 2 mana. So it is competing with Cast Down and Edict effects at its CMC which will both kill any creature outright while you have to work for this one. Defile costs 1 which is why it sees any play at all, as it puts less pressure on how many removal spells you can cast in a turn.
Thoughts on hunger of the howlpack and the new preview basking broodscale? I got nothing as far as interesting ideas lol, but it’s wild that combined they kinda make a colorless ritual that buffs a creature. It might be too odd an effect to be useful but I don’t know green too well and mana generation is always alien to me as a “fair” player (I just don’t do combo stuff not casting judgement)
Oh! Or if there’s a way in green to buff the field the tokens could actually be valuable Or just run red and impact tremors maybe, but then the creature buff is the worst aspect of the combo
Ok having a "duh moment" but does the Savage Swipe trigger before or after the +2/+2 in the target creature. Or does it check the power of target creature when cast. Before the bonus to stats? Like I said. A "duh moment"
So, if you are looking for interesting decks to play, can I suggest slivers? The build of the deck I prefer takes cues from legacy stompy decks, and plays 4 lotus petals, along with 4 gemhide slivers and 4 heart slivers. I think the lotus petals are notably good in slivers, because the deck has a plethora of very strong 2 drops. Just a suggestion. Thanks for the amazing content.
If not during that turn, I should have done it before I attacked next turn as I still had the mana to play the Vines. Don't know what I was thinking here, missed an easy lethal (if they blocked differently).
Reddit tier commenter, sorry you had that dude on his day 2 rant thanks for the video anyway since stompy is nowhere near playable in the current meta I clicked this fast lol
Eh, I don't mind. If nothing else it made it easy to chose my deck to play this week. I like to try and make my channel a hub of all Pauper decks and I hadn't done stompy yet so seemed like a good time even if I wasn't trying any new cards.
Thanka you so much
Day 3 of asing for (insert pauper deck you have not played here)
This was my first pauper deck. It is an excellent way to handicap yourself. Though now, I will always get excited when I see a Rancor!
Did you see dimir agro madness deck?

Basking Broodscale from MH3 should be a nice nest invader upgrade, 2 mana 2/2 with adapt 1 for 2 mana and you get a scion whenever it gets a counter

Oh man. It was fun when this deck was just so efficient
Let's gooooo ❤❤❤
0:02 I asked around youtube hoping someone plays this. lol really happy about this
That has to be one of the quickest comments I've seen on one of my videos. 😅

I don't think it really adds to what stompy wants to do. As making 0/1's isn't that great. Seems more just for the combo decks at this stage.

Like I said. A "duh moment"
Before.
@@superluckyhappylife2358 ah sweet.
There are both "if" and "then" words.
From there, you just have to read the card.

I did play a slivers league a while ago. Could try it with petals to try and speed the deck up a bit could be interesting.
@@Kirblinxy Ah I seem to have missed that! I’ll make sure to give it a watch.
Elephant guide is good against damage base removal/sweeper, from what i seeing
Snakeskin veil is good against black single target removal
My friend, at 1:10:00 you should untap Sentinel with Quirion!

I'm pretty notorious for doing this at my LGS, I guess one finally slipped out in recording, lol.
Make infect viable pls
4-1 lol nice.
I wish 3 mana deal 2 damage to all creatures got all banned

Day 1 of asking for bogles
Could I recommend the Bogles league that Teasdale did a couple of weeks ago? Otherwise I did see a random bogles gates list that piqued my interest.
@@Kirblinxy Bogles not dead with the Glitters ban ? 🤔
@v01dv01d One could argue Glitters didn't even help it. It's win rate hasn't exactly been stellar.
Simic infect !
Very nice result for "dead" deck.
Yeah, did better than expected for sure.
Green is so dead.
