It is funny it doesnt show up on camera. Its 50 to 1 premixed with a little oil added to bring it to about 20 to one. The shop filled with smoke enough i had to give up for the night. After about 5 min running. When i made the getting it to run video i did say something about the lack of smoke. Ill post that once im done editing. Today i ran it outside for an hour with the same fuel and it had a smoke cloud leading off to the neighbors yard.
Here's a video of an engine running without smoke (the engine however produces lots of smoke): ruclips.net/user/shortsCNVjfcaLZ8E Cell phone cameras don't capture smoke for some reason, why it's the case is beyond me!
The gas tank is the bottom of the engine. The carb is one speed. It's actually the knob im turning. This vid explains that more. ruclips.net/video/HEHjs1jlq80/видео.htmlsi=lQw_Xqtds8ck239w
It's a two smoke, older engines didn't have the refined carburetors we have today. In fact some really old engines just ran the air intake into the gas tank, so the fuel vapors would be sucked in with the air.
Sure sounds good! ;)
Beautiful engine running great. A fantastic stationary piece, will you be attaching it to the washing machine it once drove or leaving it by itself?
Thanks, For now, I'm leaving it like this. Not sure what I'll do with it later on.
Why can't I see any smoke? I hope you have oil mixed with the gas. Very cool!
