    Hello sir, thankyou for all. My thesis is depends on the effect of vertical drain with varied different diameter and spacing of vertical drain , but till now not clear about how to apply different diameter of ver. drain , the softwer is consider only spacing of ver. drain, so if you have any point about the diameter of ver. drain please help me.

      You cannot apply the effect of diameter using that “line drain element”
      My thoughts about this is to model your drains as solid elements “cylinders” after that you click the volume and “decompose into surfaces”
      Finally choose your outer surface and assign a proper “Hydraulic Condition”

    Thankyou sir it's clear tutorial for me but now i have some question:
    1. How to define material of vertical drain?
    2. How can i insert the diameter of verical drain?
    3. How to apply triangular pattern for vertical drain?

      You only need to define the head (h) and the software will give pore pressure for all line drain node equal to defined head. But you have to know that pore pressures that are less than drain's head will not be affected.
      In consolidation calculations drains usually reduce the excess pore water pressure to zero that's why I didn't put a specific head (h) because it will be ignored by the software, knowing that the properties that I'm talking about are under "NORMAL" behavior of drains.
      so you don't have to define its material nor diameter as we have nothing to do with stress analysis it is only consolidation analysis

      About Triangular patterns, I think it is totally a geometric matter.

    Hello sir. Is it possible to change the properties of drains. As i want to analysis on sand drains under embankment ?

      No it is not possible to do so as it is considered as uniform pore water pressure all the way through drain's depth. You only need to define the head (h) and the software will give pore pressure for all line drain node equal to defined head.

      مشكلتنا ان احنا بنسمع الهنود زي الجزم عشان بنتعلم منهم لكن ان احنا يكون لينا لكنة معينة لا ازاى لازم نتعوج
      لكن الفيديو بيكون انجليزي عشان ده اللغة السايدة مش احتقارا للغتي اللي باعتزر بيها جدا
