I once had a Go Pro on my helmet at Chula Vista for a supercross race, and the UCI officials told me that only NBC was allowed to film and no recording devices were allowed on the track unless cleared by NBC directly. Strict contracts, I tell ya.

bigpimp347 Only elite riders are alowed go pros mounted on their helmets, other riders (National,Regional etc) aren't.

bigpimp347 At events on this level a handful of riders will be selected by GoPro for footage just like this. They sign a waiver concerning the risks and this allows them to wear it.
Also note that these cameras are all the type that gets mounted under the lid, the on top of the helmet cameras are not allowed anymore.
