Vic and Carol, thank you guys so much for producing this video series. While I am still building my RV10 (working on doors currently) this information is going to prove very useful whenever the time comes for first flight.
Thanks so much for this series! It is very instructive and inspiring for me as I work on my RV-10 project, still several years from completion. How about continuing with a series on flight testing?
I can’t tell you how helpful all this information is. I am just a few weeks Away from that first flight. 20k hours and 7 type ratings ( airplane & Rotorcraft) but this flight will definitely be a first in something i built. Many thanks for this timely information 👍
Great video Vic. The one interesting point that I noted was your flap speeds. I've been using 96 KIAS for the first 15 degrees and 85 for full flap. I see that you don't put the first notch in until mid 80s KIAS. Is there a reason for that?
I take them out of reflex around 110-120. Then the first notch which is half flats comes out at 87 knots. I thought I spoke about that in the video. I may have been talking too much and got them out slower than usual.
Ok. I just wanted clarification. I was a bit confused because the flight testing section of the build manual lists 110mph (96 knots) and 100mph (87 knots) as Vfe for half and full flaps respectively. Personally I like having the option to deploy the flaps at higher speeds. I find the 10 already a bit limited in that regard even with the higher speeds than Ive been using. I love your videos. Keep making them!
Great info! Thank you.
Thank you for this little series! Thank you to both of you, both in front of and behind the camera. I personally love the longer more in depth videos.
Our pleasure!

Great to hear!
Thanks for sharing Vic & Carol.
Vic, Carol, great video!
All your videos are great, but this was simply the best, so informative - thank you Vic and Carol.
