I have a quilt top to finish, that I’m not too thrilled either to finish, so I appreciate you being real and sharing your true feelings. I feel the same about this project I need to finish, so I think I’ll work one. Thank you for sharing those projects you would like to finish, I’m in that mode myself. Have a great week! 🥰
Love your new filming space. My grandmother always told me to do the thing you wanted to do (or eat) the least first so you can look forward to what you really want to do. Works for me.
Oh Corey! I just think you are the best... Love your quilts and you are just so genuine. I loved how you rolled with the #11 pick... makes me want to look at my list!!! Thank You so much!!!
Happy to see you in your new space, and there’s a saying out there from “ Just get it Done “ another quilter Eat the Frog First, so #11 it is. Good luck and thank you for sharing your goals. 👍❤️😊
Hahaha you crack me up. Well, the purpose was to tidy up projects so getting the one done you are least excited about will be a great feeling! Have a great week and enjoy your new home.
I just love Saturday Mornings with you! I have purchased many of your Beautiful Collections. I enjoyed hearing what is on your list and am looking forward to seeing you complete the cuddle up quilt.
Wow! I thought I was the only one!!! Thank you Corey. This is the year I choose to eliminate clutter...decided not to place names on papers in a bucket but will roll the dice (2-12) to choose from my numbered list Besides, I'd probably spend a day looking for the bucket each month!!! Thanks for always inspiring me!!!!
I had to laugh when I saw the rocking chair because I, too, bought a rocking chair pin cushion at a thrift store. It was finished in a green corduroy fabric. This has given me the incentive to get mine finished! Thank you so much for your monthly pattern sale. I have purchased several of them. Love your Saturday videos.
New studio is gorgeous. Love the fresh beautiful colors in all of your fabric lines. Thanks for inspiring accountability - I will put together my list of projects that I want to finish this year. Many blessings. 🥰
You’re right. The expression is, It all comes out in the wash I’m getting g my WIP ready. I love the idea of the pincushion added on. I can put my small projects on my list that need to be done. Great idea Love the new studio! Excited for what you have planned for the year
Love my Saturday mornings with Corey Yoder! That pesky number 11, it was the one I would least want to finish as well. Love your new studio and so glad you’re moved in. Seeing your 3 inch blocks reminds me I have a little quilt of those sewn together, but it has never been quilted. 😩. UFO’s. Too many!
This is a great idea. I only do one project at a time, but I have a few projects ready to start when I finish the one I’m working on. I didn’t know what to do next, so I think I’m going to join you. It is good you will finish the one you didn’t want to do so it will no longer be hanging over you waiting to be done.
I love your WIP challenge. I’m doing the same thing with my cross stitch. I’m using a spin the wheel app for weekly challenges. I really need to get back to my quilting! I’m going to make a quilt list and join you. I think this is just the motivation I need. Love spending time with you every Saturday! ❤😊
This last year was really busy and I got behind on my monthly box. My sewing goal for 2025 is to complete the current Sew Sampler box and one prior box that wasn’t able to enjoy last year. Can’t wait to see your new sewing space. We are looking for a one story house to move. I’m ready for no stairs! We have found one that’s has a wonderful sew room. Let’s hope it works out. 🤞🏻
Love your new sewing/filming space. I’m trying to finish putting together my Sew Sampler 2. I have a few works in progress, so I’ll work along with you. Hope Ryan’s hand heals soon and well, poor guy. Thank you for your inspiration. ❤
Same thing happened to me. The one I was least looking forward to is what I got. Let’s knock it out and move on to funner projects! It’s ALWAYS a win in my book when we get to cross something off the list as done! Love the new space :) ❤
It’ll all come out in the wash! 😂 I haven’t heard that saying in years! You are such a refreshing person! Loved this video so much! I’m DEFINITELY joining you on the monthly challenge! ❤
I don’t currently have any WIPs or UFOs. I only have three quilt tops that need to be quilted and I will have nothing from before 2025. This did take a few years to get caught up on. This year I am focusing on quilting my tops within a month of making them. This is my plan for this year.
Enjoyed seeing your new filming space, happy for you that everything will be much handier! Hope your hubby’s healing goes well😊. Get that ironing board & then you can get the dreaded #11 out of the way😂 It will wash out! You take care❤
I've completed 2 of my 12 wip challenge quilts with the 3rd finishing today or tomorrow. I'm on fire 😆 lol! So happy for you and the new studio, couldn't have happened to a sweeter lady!
Congrats on your first video in the new space. The backdrop is beautiful! Thank you as always for putting the time and effort into these videos. You don't know it but you've been my sewing buddy this afternoon. :-) Getting stuff done! Let's go!
I love your colors and quilts. Love watching your Saturday catchup. Love the new studio. I had my husband buy me a new STURDY ladder before I painted a bedroom in the first week of January. Our first one was aluminum and 42 years old and an accident waiting to happen. We bought a Werner from Lowes.
So far so good for January! Now to get it quilted and bound….I think this will be fun! I have one of those “least favorite” projects too but wasn’t as lucky as you and haven’t drawn it yet! HA! Thanks for sharing!
New studio is lovely! I’m joining the WIP plan. I have a king sized Burgoyne Surrounded quilt to work on this month. Thanks for all of the inspiration!
I jumped right on the February quilt pattern, as today is my Birthday. Yay! For my #11 project, it was to finish my daughter's monochrome quilt. 😢. It has been a tough one for me, because I love bright colors and my daughter loves Gray and Black.... Oh well, a cutting we shall go! Thank you for your fun video today.
Too funny. It will definitely all come out in the wash! I am such a new quilter that I only have 2 WIPS that I am working on. I do have 7 cross stitch WIPS, but I’m rotating them since they take longer to finish. I like your method, though. I think you will be glad to get number 11 out of the way. Have a great week!
Gosh Ryan! Hope you heal quickly. Fun video Corey! The sound is great in your beautiful new studio. I find that most of my projects get stalled after the blocks are all made. I don't get a lot of joy sewing sashings, cornerstones, and blocks together. 🤣 You'll be so happy to get your Cuddle Up Sampler finished. "It'll all come out in the wash." I've said that a million times referring that something would work itself out. :)
LOL. your "YAY" for getting number 11 made me laugh out loud! I think I shall join you in this WIP challenge. I'll do#11 too, just have to make my list.
Good Saturday to you, Corey. Congratulations on your new studio, that must be so exciting for you all. I like your idea of getting things off of you're to do list. OMG, that rocking chair pincushion is adorable, I have an old pincushion that my grandmother gave to me. It too has the little pegs for the thread spools on it. You can tell how long ago mine must be from because the place for the pins is about the size of a quarter. Certainly not the size of a current pincushion. I admit it, I am a fan of yours, I think you are such a genuinely lovely person. I look forward to seeing you next Saturday. Love to all of you, Tracy from Idaho
Thanks Corey! Love the new studio. I have 6 WIP’s that all of the blocks are complete, I just need to assemble the quilt. I was so happy to see that Corey has similar projects! One of them is the Oh Happy Day QAL that we did a while ago. I cut all of my sashing strips too narrow. Ugh. It will still look great, I just need to get over my error and finish it.
The new studio is beautiful! I am joining in the WIP challenge & my #11 is an Alaska themed wall hanging that I bought on an amazing Alaskan cruise last fall. Looking forward to finishing that & a lot of other projects I have going. Thank you for the inspiration!
Oh my! Love the new space! And yes, I am joining you on the monthly challenges. Mine are all going to be quilting on the longarm. I have been so frustrated with it lately. Time to get over it and get these projects finished! Maybe if you look at your project 11 as the opportunity to be ahead for Christmas it will help? This could even be one of the ones you send to David this year! Then it can be completely finished and ready for the holidays. I have a couple of tops I am less excited about that I hope to finished this year too. Time to make a list! Have a wonderful day and I hope you find some joy in your monthly project
Congrats on being in your new room.. I love it.. it’s so bright n colorful❤️ Hope Ryan heals quickly🙏 I hope that starberry comes out again, I have to say that was one of my favorite lines.. I bought a half yard bundle n wished I had bought more cause it flew off the shelves..looking forward to your new line coming too. Working the sew along with cali n co too beautiful fabric ❤️ Thanks for all your hard work .
I love the idea of making a list of projects I need to finish. I’m working on one while I watch your video. I had a table runner that I put aside because of 2 blocks of the month but now those are done. I’m getting the table runner binding on so I will have hand work to do at my quilt group. I have a couple other projects I had set aside that I need to gather the materials for and get those finished up. Now if I could just get back to my Grandmother’s Garden paper piecing quilt I started over 20 years ago.
Wonderful video - thanks! The studio looks great! I have been looking forward to this WIPs challenge. I have my 11 selected, plus one I actually finished in January, so gave myself credit for that. My Feb challenge piece is Letters to Santa. I started this in the fall of 2022, and then we moved, so it got shelved. Now I can get it out and finish it! Thank you, Corey!
Great video, Corey! I have a quilt project list, and a monthly list for household organizing. Thanks for the motivation! Here’s a thought: Maybe your church has a painting ministry!! Thanks, Corey!❤
Corey, that is great to show us your very coriander Christmas book with apricot and ash. I have 2 fat eighth bundles of apricot and ash. And I really want to get that fabric made into a quilt.
I definitely need to sort and organize my sewing room, I have fabric tossed everywhere. Hopefully I can get started on it. Hoorah I have the book just need to find it. Lol
I’m adding the free motion rulers I bought almost a year ago and haven’t tried out as one of my projects of the month. A few quilts and projects I picked up doing our local 2024 shop hop.
Poor Ryan! I have a mission this year to get at least two of my WIPS done before I can start a new project. One down! Luckily I have a friend who got a new long arm and it’s become so easy to pay her to do my quilting. Sew far she’s finished up five for me. Yay! Love all you do Cory. Just got my Callie& Co. bundle can’t wait to dig in!
Awesome video. Loving your new space. Went right in and ordered all the patterns. Very so start to new year as I fell 2 days before Xmas and broke my ankle. So kinda hard to sew when you need to keep foot elevated. But it is getting better and look to be back sewing in a few more weeks.
I'm working on a move this year, so I will attempt to join the WIP plan, allowing for life to interrupt when needed. Your new studio is lovely! Also, you made me laugh that the one you picked was your least favorite. 😂
I am glad your workspace is bigger and better. A Moving Ministry! Awesome, our God has a service for everyone!! I am working on my stash also. But I am trying to do month or holiday related project and finish before end of month. I really enjoy my Saturday mornings with you.
In business they say eat a frog first in the day then you will enjoy the rest of the day. You can get that darling quilt done and enjoy the ones you work on the rest of the year. Love your bright spirit on my Saturday morning.
You are so cute. I know the feeling😂😂😂. I just bought your $5 pattern. I have so many to do’s. I did make it thru Jan with no buy!!!!! New month and if I buy any fabric it will be background. I had bought the cali and co fqb and made my first bom with your sew along. Thank you and your studio it awesome.
I'm so happy to have you joining in on the Cali & Co. mystery BOM. And doesn't that just figure about pesky old #11!!...that would be the one I picked. LOL
Abloom looks amazing. My room is full of fabric I'm not sure I have room to add more. I want to try getting my WIPs done. I like the idea of picking numbers.
I love watching you and see your beautiful quilts I know how you feel I decided also to get some ufo done and started with one not so how to finish lol
Love the WIPs challenge. I just put my project on slips of paper and pulled one out. There were a couple I was hoping not to get and thankfully I did not draw one of them. I started your Beholden pattern a few years ago, so that is one of my WIPs I want to finish this year.
Oh Corey!! God bless you and your newest home! Thank you for all you share!!!
I love your brutal and funny honesty! You make me chuckle. Btw your filming space looks amazing!
I loved the realness of you having a project you weren’t thrilled to finish. That makes me feel normal!
Your new studio looks lovely and I am excited to see your tour.
Yay, thank you!
Oh my, you don't know how many WIPS you have until you start writing them down 🤯🤯
Amen
Hahaha you crack me up. Well, the purpose was to tidy up projects so getting the one done you are least excited about will be a great feeling! Have a great week and enjoy your new home.
You are exactly right...I will be very glad to have that one off my list! LOL
Your reaction to #11 was so fun. I laughed outloud with you. 😂 Saturdays with Corey are a lot of fun! Thanks for sharing.
I was so disappointed to see old number 11. LOL! =)
Love the new studio! I need to do the WIP game as well. Thanks for planting the idea. Hope Ryan’s hand heals quickly😊
I just love Saturday Mornings with you! I have purchased many of your Beautiful Collections. I enjoyed hearing what is on your list and am looking forward to seeing you complete the cuddle up quilt.

Great video, Corey! I have a quilt project list, and a monthly list for household organizing. Thanks for the motivation! Here’s a thought: Maybe your church has a painting ministry!! Thanks, Corey!❤
Wow your 3 inch finished little blocks for sewcialites are so beautifully sewn, such accuracy! Mine would have ended up a bit wonky for sure!❤
Lol

Lol, isn't that the luck! I am trying to get my WIPs done before I start on the new stuff I want to do! Can't wait to see the new studio!

Let's get them checked off our lists!
Love the WIPs challenge. I just put my project on slips of paper and pulled one out. There were a couple I was hoping not to get and thankfully I did not draw one of them. I started your Beholden pattern a few years ago, so that is one of my WIPs I want to finish this year.
I hope you enjoy finishing that one up!
