    I just recently bought a 13 ISF in ultrasonic blue it’s on swift springs with Hayward and Scott exhaust from my close friend. I’ve had the car for about four months now it has 65,000 miles on the car. I just did the differential transmission and change the plugs. For the differential, I went with a red line 75-90 Transmission I just went with OEM fluid and just did a drain and measured it and refilled engine oil. I’m going with Pennzoil ultra platinum. I’m up here in Sacramento.

    • @ISFASTER
      @ISFASTER  5 лет назад +2

      I believe the dash panels cover all years but you’ll have to take it to the dealership to have them inspect that they are melting. Airbags would be any model that had the Takata airbag, this is a safety issue and should be taken cared of by the dealership who will verify via the VIN number.

    Great video, I’ve watched most of your videos and they’re great to watch. Just fyi if you ever buy another Lexus cert pre owned or if you buy Lexus luxury maintenance care. With both of those programs Lexus IS pretty lenient with the service expiration and allow an automatic grace period of 12 months after set expiration so you could’ve dragged that service out a little more if you had wanted to! Most advisors won’t tell you.

I actually called 3 different dealerships asking if I could take my car in past the CPO date for the 70K service or get a voucher for that service to do at the normal mileage interval and all of them said they couldn’t, even my normal advisor who always took care of me so I thought it was some corporate policy. They all told me I didn’t have to get it done by the exact 2 year date but had to do it be the end of that month. 🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️

      @@ISFASTER The last 3 I have owned were all low mileage or brand new cars when I got them. Right now I have an Audi A6 2014 hybrid. On this car alone I have changed both headlightUnits! due to water leaks, ball-bearings three times on both front sides. I have changed the left rear brake light-unit two times (also water leaks) and I am now in need of a change of a timing chain because Audi claims this has been stretched. I got to know this when a message on the dashboard was complaining about a hybrid fault. The car has only gone 14.000km (22400 miles) and It has already made me sick of it. Before this car, I had a BMW 535d. Don't ask me what I needed to do to that car... German cars are lovely to look at but not reliable at all. They all start to break down in one way or another, either during the warranty time (usually within 3 years) or as soon as you pass that mark. I have totally changed my mind on Japanese cars. I don't like the looks of Toyota but Lexus will be my next option. Hopefully, I will have a good experience as you did.

    • @ISFASTER
      @ISFASTER  5 лет назад

      Dang, that sucks to hear you’re having all of those issues. I do love the easy and cheap power potentials of the German cars but I would rather spend time enjoying the car instead of worrying about what parts I’m going to have to buy next to fix things that break. Thanks for the honesty and hopefully you can get most of those things covered under warranty.

    Brake rotor/disc costs are one of the reasons I'm looking at ISF's instead of RS4's/M3's especially as I do most of my own work on my cars. When I checked prices it works out about £60 for a 360mm ISF rotor and £390 for a 365mm RS4 rotor. Both are steel so it's a ridiculous difference!

    • @ISFASTER
      @ISFASTER  5 лет назад

      Yeah, I couldn’t believe how cheap one could buy the rotors for, especially when I saw how much the dealerships are charging people, such a huge mark up!

    Hello! Great story about the experience of ownership. I have almost the same thoughts about this beautiful balanced car. Tell me please, if of course you know, thinking about one unusual question. Do you think it is possible to buy a regular is250 and transfer all possible details from a broken isf into it? The base is the same and all the sites are firm? In fact, the body is completely the same. Thank you )

    • @ISFASTER
      @ISFASTER  5 лет назад +2

      Thanks. I supposed anything is possible with enough money! I really haven’t given that possibility much thought.

    • @Egouar007
      @Egouar007 5 лет назад +1

      I understand. I am just interested in the technical side of the question of whether full transfer to the base of the IS250 is possible. I do not live in the USA, but in my country the tax on cars with 423 hp is so high that it is cheaper for me to buy is250 and bring the whole isf from Japan) I want to fulfill my dream))

    Does anyone has any experience regarding 2013 stock suspension vs 2010? Worth coughing up the extra bucks for 2013 or get 2010 and upgrade suspension?

    • @ISFASTER
      @ISFASTER  5 лет назад +1

      The major suspension upgrade came in 2011. You’re getting much more than an upgraded suspension between a 2010 and 2013. I would suggest driving both to see which you like as an overall package and if you perceive the additional cost to be worth it. 😁

    • @itheus

      ISFASTER thanks. I know i should test drive, but the problem is the lack of isf in the uk. There are only 200 imported/ of which are 11 onwards, there are less than 50 T.T
      Hence the struggle. Also when they do show up they tend to sell quickly.

    • @ISFASTER
      @ISFASTER  5 лет назад

      Now that is rare! Sounds like if you want to get into an ISF now you’ll have to take whatever is available. Good luck on your search!

    I got rid of my ISF after a year of ownership. It was a fun car but not as interesting imo. I actually prefer driving my Boss 302 over the ISF. My favorite thing about the ISF was the sound especially after putting an exhaust system on it.

    • @ISFASTER

    Good Video!
    I'm just about getting my next car and like you I'm choosing between IS-F, C/E63, Panamera or an RS6. Very difficult decision. I've already had an M5 and an M3.
    The two things I don't really like with the IS-F is that the styling is a bit too blend and I would like a bit more juice than 423Hp.
    Any more advice?
    Cheers!

    • @ISFASTER
      @ISFASTER  5 лет назад

      Choosing between those cars is a nice problem to have! I think you will do well to go with any of those cars but aside from the C63 the Lexus will be smaller than the rest. I’m guessing you’re in Europe since you mentioned an RS6, those are awesome in the avant form and I think one of the best all around cars!

    Any issues with the engine tick? Some say it was fixed by Lexus replacing valve springs, some say different oil viscosity helps. And any dash issues? I'm really thinking about getting one but the engine tick seems inconsistent.

    • @ISFASTER
      @ISFASTER  5 лет назад

      The only ticks I hear are the normal direct injector noise. I’ve read on CL what you’re referring to but I don’t think I’m affected. No dash issues but if you do there is currently a program by Lexus to replace them for free if they’ve melted.

      I would go to my closest dealership and start from there. They’re the ones that are going to look at your dash to see if they think it qualifies.
