I was 14 last time Michigan won the natty and last night I watched it with my 14 year old son. Incredible moment.

I was 3 years old aka 3 seasons of being a fan. My dad brought the national champ sweater he got me when I was only 3 yreas old and my daughter wore it for her 3rd season she is only 2 tho. It was amazing having him save it all these years and my kid wearing it. She danced her little heart off listening to the fight song, and pop evil in the big house. She chanted its great to be a Michigan Wolverine. She passed out by half time but she loved the first half.
I've been watching the Wolverines since '73. Tonight was the highlight of watching U-M over the years. You know Bo is smiling in Heaven. Kudos to the champions.

Michigan had more rushing yards (303) than Washington had total yards (301). Sure it's only a 2 yard difference but that's impressive
Congrats to you, Steve and to all Michigan fans, Alumni, and the team. They earned it this year and they were the best team. I remain a huge Buckeye fan but the humble pie we have to deal with is likely good for the rivalry and it puts pressure on OSU to get things figured out. For now all I can say is UM deserved it.
So much for that “unstoppable Washington offense” the Defense for Michigan won that game hands down
Also, so much for the "Michigan's defensive stats are only because they play trash Big Ten offenses". Yes, they really are a dominant defense loaded with NFL caliber players. Penn State scored 15 and Purdue 13.
That experience in Houston was electric. We are so proud of these young men. It was a much more competitive game than the score showed. And that was the most consistently loud environment I've ever seen them play in. It lasted from start to finish on every play of the game.
So proud of these boys. They have a high level of character and never gave up. I am so thrilled for them! Go Blue!!!

I got to watch Mich win a Natty with my 11 yr old son & my dad. It was so awesome, 3 generations watching something happen that hasn't happened since I was 11...
Watched with my 4 year old daughter who LOVES football, and my dad. Certainly makes it all the more special
I was in high school and college during the Rich Rod/Brady Hoke days and to see them climb all the way back to the top has been quite a sight. Congrats Wolverine fans!

What an a-maize-ing game, playoff and season.
A perfect combination from the ashes of the 2020 season to Michigan’s first win over Ohio in 10 years, then beating them again only to suffer the disappointment of losing what appeared to be a very winnable CFP game last year. To go on this year and fight through the attempted character assassination of the program and win the CFP in its last year in present form. Steve said it, surreal. But they did it! Go Blue!!

I'm emotionally spent. I hardly celebrated at the end of the game. I did most of that at Mikey's interception. True statements about football and its rightful place in the grand scheme of life, and true about this amazing team. The BEST.

appreciate your UM football coverage, as well as your other podcasts. I was just 1-year younger than you are now in 1997 when UM got their last natty. I think this team could be the single greatest UM football team of all time - a truly extraordinary human saga has played out this season. And the fact that I and so many others got to watch it, has simply been an unfortunate privilege. As a UM Architecture School grad I couldn't be happier for, or more appreciative of, this exceptional group of young men and their coaches. And as for you, please keep up the good work.

I still feel like I am dreaming and this isn't real! Somebody pinch me.. Such a amazing ride all season despite the distractions. I can't believe we are national champions!!! We now have the 2nd most national championships all time with 11 behind Alabama who has 18. We broke the tie with Notre Dame and USC with both schools having 10. Just simply amazing!!!
