This is the most unknown unsaid thing out of all the evaluations of Michigan
In some ways Donovan is the story for me. Opening up about getting counseling is just major in and of itself, but how many men or women would admit that on a big stage such as this? It's a sign of someone who is learning to love himself. Hats off to the coaches and the team and others for supporting him.
Agree, huge respect to The Don, it’s not easy to open up to anyone when you’re struggling. It was so good to see him go crazy for 2 TD’s in the game.
Absolutely those 2 big runs for TD’s set the tone for the whole game and gave us that edge!!
he should have gotten MVP. Corum got it as a career achievement award,,, no problem with that. But this game... the Don set the tone
The moment Zak Zinter went down against OSU, and Blake Corum ran it in on the very next play, I knew this team would not be denied.
Then Blake the Great ran it in against Alabama to win it in OT. Then he punched in a physical run AGAIN to ice the National Championship!
Seriously, just look at those three runs back-to-back-to-back. The story of Michigan's Championship season in 3 plays.
His TD run against Penn State was also huge. Came after Penn State went for it on 4th down deep in their own territory.
The very next play, Blake ices the game.
It's funny, that Penn State TD and his "Zinter" TD against OSU are almost exactly the same from the same distance.
Blake is not just a Michigan legend but a college football legend.

Mike is a class act; he holds himself to a higher standard and he is truly a Michigan man . Coach Harbaugh, another outstanding individual, there's NOTHING quirky about this fellow. He is a teacher, mentor, father, husband, son, and brother to so many. We love you coach.

As someone who watches college football this Michigan team put on a clinic in tackling.
Swarming the ball and the domination of the line of scrimmage. Excellent performance.
I used to watch some of the other great teams do that and think - why can't my team do that?

I agree I think Mikey shoulda gotten it, he didn’t have as many penalties and he was felt throughout the game including the end.
That one armed tackle he had, and a few other tackles where he just refused to let go, were beautiful to watch. Kid is all heart and high football IQ.

Mike Sainristil is the real deal. He is always making key plays. Great open-field tackles, pass breakups, interceptions with big returns, and being a leader. He is my favorite player and I hope some NFL team snags him up. He has that special X factor that teams need.

That being said, it was obvious UM was holding back on play calling until the 4th qtr. The offense was vanilla up until the point they finally unleashed JJ's feet. That softened the UW D.

The bad side to being successful is everyone is going to want to hire your coaches. Jesse Minter is probably going to get some NFL defensive coordinator offers and I would be surprised if he leaves for the NFL in the offseason.

Honestly blake corum is easily the most valuable player in college football. The cuts he makes and holes he slips through is literally why this team can play the way it does. That's how you get past penn state when you can't block chop Robinson and Abdul Carter because you got guys out of position.
