I’m a die hard Alabama fan. But this right here is why I love college football so much. Props to Michigan they balled out. Their defense was grossly underestimated and I’ll be straight up I underestimated them too but they shut up the critics. Congrats to them they earned it for sure.

I am a Michigan Fan, 57 years old with two children who are both Seniors at Michigan. My son is currently in Ann Arbor at his frat house making sure that his friends and frat brothers fully understand that he grew up in a Michigan Wolverine household. Every. Single. Player. Every one of them had an impact. I don't think there was a single "star" player on this Michigan team during the whole game, but they ALL did their jobs extremely well. I know Blake and Will deservedly got their flowers, but if I had to give anybody the MVP award, it would have to be Mikey Sainristil. That man put in WORK! Easily saved two touchdowns and got an interception as well.
So ESPN, the CFP, Herbstreit, Finebaum and all the other ESPN Acolytes are in pure misery today. They didn't want Bama to lose, they didn't want Texas to lose and they certainly didn't want Michigan to win it All! Congrats to the Wolverines for sticking it to them all!

Defense held it down all game and JJ put together a drive when he needed to just like in the Rose Bowl. That’s all that matters. So proud of my team! Go Blue! 〽️

@@Dustomatic you can say that now that the game’s over but on Michigans last real drive when they went up 27-13 that was the put away drive. If they don’t go down the field and score Washington would’ve had some momentum only down 7 with a lot of time left. That drive is what opened the flood gates.

@@TyriqueMotthey are different players. What I’ve been saying since last season became glaringly obvious this season: corum is the much better RB at making something out of nothing. He’ll grind out 5 yards a carry all day. Edwards needs a hole or be able to bounce it outside. Then he has breakaway speed, as you saw today and osu last year. And he’s a great receiver out of the backfield.
Also, don’t be so sure you’ll see Edwards at Michigan next year. He’s wants in the league asap.

Jesus. You realize you guys won. Way to be a sore winner. Michigan was obviously the better team. Their defense and run game were excellent. Penix had some opportunities to keep the game closer but he looked nervous and over threw guys. Washingtons run D is not good and it showed. Having a former NFL head coach is a huge advantage I would think. Harbaugh really got these guys playing at a high level. Congrats Wolverines.

I remember when all the huskies fans were saying they were going to mop the floor on Michigan. It looked like quite the contrary on the field in game. Y’all have a spectacular season and all a sudden think it’s 1991. It was a good game but one of the easier games Michigan has played since October
I mean it kinda helps when you hold to break a guy free for a 40+ yard TD and get no call. Pl with no calls helps as well.

It's adorable how excited they got on the couple good plays that Washington had, and how dour they sounded talking about most of Michigan's plays. espn been aggressively hating all year, but it means nothing because the men on the field proved them all wrong. Go Blue!

How it usually works is the offensive line tires out the opposing defense as the game goes on. Tonight it was the opposite. As the game went on, Michigan wasn’t even blitzing and still got pressure on penix constantly.
If you listen to the Minnesota head coach, P J Fleck’s post game from 〽️’s game earlier in the season he describes what the Michigan team is which is extremely “deep” especially on defense. So many interchangeable players that get rotated in and out almost every play, keeping them fresh and not tired. A well-oiled defensive machine that wears down the opponents. I can’t recall how many games it was before any team scored on us in any 3rd quarter and also no-score in red zone for a number of games either. Go Blue! ‘78 grad/alum.

Congrats to Michigan, the better team won tonight. UW just didn't have the horse on defense to stop the run. They gave up over 300 yards rushing and they didn't have the correct game plan on offense (they had the athletes, but not the game plan). From what I saw, if they had a rematch and the game was played on UW'S home field, they would still lose because the Huskies defense would be too big of a liability.
But then we held them to 3 and outs for a bit our offense just didn’t take advantage of it
Correct, which tells you that the moment was too big for members of UW, namely Penix and Coach Deboer. Nothing wrong with that because they both have never been apart of the National Championship.
