I first saw this on Australian ABC television as a 9 year old in 1967. The "herbal enhancements" completely escaped me at the time, but I loved the English whimsy, not to mention a fantastic song. I was never quite the same afterwards, of course. & here I am, 50+ years later, still addicted to interesting music. Obviously a basket case.

Our .group, "The Gill Ellis Four," auditioned at the BBC along with "The Move," which was preferred, possibly because they were playing new, original songs while we were doing covers.
But it was good to know we nearly made it!!!
I later released a solo album "Rollercoasting with Dennis Derby" here in UK, which included all my own songs, along with "George Bush Blues," because I thought he was an idiot.
I much appreciated the help Obama gave to the world.
The Move were a super group and did very well for themselves, deservedly.
Please forgive my butterfly brain because that's how it's always been.
Keep smiling & dance while you can!!!

I understand Carl Wayne of "The Move" later replaced Alan Clarke of "The Hollies," as lead singer.

Which is the video, in which he is smashing a car and singing I love you baby, which did not impress Jumi Hendrix
