Marion, You have made such an epic difference in my cooking skills! We feel so much healthier cooking your dishes and opening up a whole new culinary world for me! I feel more empowered cooking dinner every night because of you! Thank you!❤️
Hey Marion, I've got a question. I've been introducing my friend to your recipes and really want to make her a Thai curry. However she's deathly allergic to all nightshades and can't have chilli. Would the panang flavour dramatically change if I left the chilli's out?
Update: I made the express Thai chicken noodle soup tonight and it was sooo yummy. It’s -20 here in Canada and a warm chicken noodle soup was perfect for this weather
Thank you for showing us what coriander root looks like. I thought it was more of the whole root and have searched in my Asian markets without success. I probably can find it now knowing what I am looking for. We have some great Asian markets in my area.
Hi Marion, your cooking shows have given me so much confidence to do some Thai cooking, thank you. Love watching & listening to you, I don’t feel rushed trying learn the recipe.
It was a Muslim lady in Phuket who sold this rice and turmeric dish (I could only see her eyes, the rest was covered). But she had a very friendly, and loving personality. I asked her about the ingredients. She told me she used coconut cream instead of yoghurt. She said that she came from a Malay background. I will try your version. It looks almost like a Thai-style biryani. But also, let's not forget that Thai cuisine is a fusion kitchen. Indian influences are definitely there.
Hey marion...I love your content so so much...so much that I have learned how to cook real good food..I'm a black south african living in a small rural area...but I'm passionate about cooking so much...and I have a dream of having my own catering business one day...so this helps me lot...😘😘😘
Wow! Brand new to making my own fresh Thai Curry, and find you on youtube! I have not had the pleasure of using dried curry pastes...............and probably won't since this recipie turned out so YUMMY!! I had cod on hand, no crab.
Dear Marion, trying carefully to learn the details of the different Asian kitchen styles I love your receipes, and especially your sentence "This is the kind of situation that you are looking for here". It makes me feel very comfortable and sort of "cosy". Enjoy your positive attitude and, of course, Mama Noi's wonderful spirit.
Oh man I love that chicken noodle soup, when I was in Bangkok last found a good one on Surawong road, one of those awesome restaurants where the kitchen is on one side of the street and the chairs are on the other side and they have to weave through traffic to being you your food. I miss Thailand so much, I’m so going to make that now.
I lost your show from my phone for a while..love the way you cook and simple delicious make me want to cook more..I live in USA..Thais food very costly.
In mint coriander chutney we add 1 top white sesame seeds, Green chili pepper, and lime juice instead of vinegar. After making the paste we add 1 top peanut oil to give dense texture. It becomes really tasty.
Marion, I adore your cooking videos - they have taught me so much about Asian cooking. I love seeing you together with your mother - so very sweet ! One question - here in London, where I live it is pretty difficult to get hold of fresh Kaffir Lime leaves. Could I use dried ones instead, and how much would I need to use as an equivalent for fresh ones? Thanks in advance, Hamid K.
The way to cook panaeng the correct way you need add ground cumin in the paste or add in the pan when you cook the paste Also need to add coconut milk in curry paste stir until grt the smell very good of the curry for few minutes (5-10 mins)
You'd be surprised what you can find on Amazon. I used to think I couldn't cook any of her recipes but over time have found how to source them. Of course, fresh ingredients will be harder to acquire but don't give up!
Congrats to both you ladies! I hope it goes smoothly for you. My lady just had our baby a couple weeks ago (shes premie) and shes an absolute angel. The hospital experience was terrible but I'm glad the babys ok.
@@Fridate To be fair I live in one of the states with the highest covid rate so I'm pretty sure that had a lot to do with it. I don't personally blame anyone or even the hospital. @@WealthyWizard369 that doesn’t sound petty at all! I totally get where you’re coming from. Especially since a c-section is major surgery! Can you do a recommendation on the cookware you use please. ☺️
So many ingredients we don’t have in Nebraska. I’m beginning to think I’ll have to move to Thailand to enjoy any of this food.

Hi Marion. Thank you for sharing all your recipes and tips. 😍. Quick check. Is the scrimp paste you are using the same as belacan?
Yes it is...slight flavour variation between Thai shrimp paste and belacan but you can use either in my recipes 👍
Ok great! I’ll try to get the Thai scrimp paste. Failing which belacan can be used as backup :) Thanks Marion! Stay safe and well.
Yummy soup
Hahaha 😂 Noi ❤️
These look amazing- l!!
What was that blender you used to make the sauce on the rice chicken dish?
Where do you store your sauces, like soya, oyster, fish...sauces? Should I put it in the fridge or kitchen cabinets?
In hot and humid Thailand, soya and fish sauce in room temp. Oyster in fridge.
Do you have any freezer meals?!! Soon to be first time mom 😊
I believe she does! Just not in the states 😔 (if that’s where you are). I’m due soon with my first as well!

Hye marion, i just want to ask about the dark soy sauce.. is it okay if i want to use sweet dark soy sauce and not adding any sugar when preparing the broth for the noodles? And can i know what kind of noodles is that?
Sweet soy sauce is fine but usually turns out lighter color of the soup. It was dried rice noodle not Ramen or Udon.
Mmmmmmmm wow super
