A snowbird is someone who comes during the winter and returns to their home afterwards. Snowflakes go back-and-forth throughout the year. And frogs are here until they croak! 🐸
During my lifestyle visit, in September, I too felt Sawgrass was nice, but a little small, compared to the squares. Driving a golf cart along the roads near Newell, especially after dark, seemed risky. Getting from Newell to Sumter landing or Spanish springs, was too far to comfortably use a golf cart, especially after dark. I’d like to come back and stay for a month, in a rental (although I’d prefer a couple week lifestyle visit) to try more activities. I hope new open houses and lots will be available south of monarch grove. I could see myself moving as a widower to the villages, maybe after trying it for a month. Thanks for doing your video.
Thanks for the love! Sawgrass is a more intimate venue but I love it as it’s very lively when the bands are playing, it’s just a different experience and your personal preference as to what you enjoy. You’re right, getting to Sumter and def. Spanish Springs from down south by golf cart is far, I usually go by car if I’m going that far…. Renting for a month or additional Lifestyle visits are the best way to experience all the activities. Good luck with your search and we hope to see you here in the future!!
Just got home from a week in Harper villas. House and neighborhood was great! Weather perfect too. Took golf car on multiple trips around neighborhood and open houses. Great place and would never be bored.
Having family living there we’ve visited. We found Sawgrass to be very disappointing compared to the other 2 squares. Hope Eastport is not like Sawgrass. Also not sure why the multi moto paths stop in the south. Seems very dangerous driving on the side of the roads with the cars & trucks flying by.
So sad to hear you didn’t care for Sawgrass, it’s actually one of my favorite spots because of the chairs and outdoor bar seating. It’s definitely a smaller more intimate venue but a very lively spot when music is playing or Boozy Bingo happening on Mondays! It’s a great spot to make new friends ;-). Eastport sounds like it will be massive with LOTS of different activities and dining etc.. Here’s a link to see what’s in the works…. It looks impressive!! nxt-live-books.s3.amazonaws.com/pub/thevillages/TheVillages/eastport-area-booklet-moultrie-creek/offline/TheVillages_eastport-area-booklet-moultrie-creek.pdf. Hi Ladies! I'd love it if you could cover how to interpret the Club-Listing found on district gov. It is a 211 page pdf with all the clubs listed, their leaders/contacts and meeting information but it's a bit confusing. For example: Alexa Villas 1SUx7,8,9@5:30PM-CO I believe SU must be Sunday. But what's 7,8,9? CO I determined means Coconut Cove rec center. Another club says 3SUx7,8 there's many variations. The document has no key to interpret it. Thanks
@dismindy5767 we asked what those codes mean and this is what we found out: 7,8,9 stand for months, so July, August and September. X means NOT during those months. Those initials do mean which venue the club is being held at. 1SU would mean first Sunday. Hope that helps!
