Great and useful Video. I used this video to change the cam belt on a TT 2.0 TFSI 2010. I must admit it was not straightforward forward so would like to share my experience. For starters, the only time you will need to go under the car is to remove the underneath cover. I used car ramps to gain access. Once the cover is removed was the car then on level ground. Although obvious, you will need to remove the front offside wheel. You do not need to remove any of the wheel arch covers - not even to remove the bolt shown at 4:37 (explained later). To support and lift the engine, I used a trolley jack positioned under the oil sump. I used a thick pad between the jack and the sump. Everything is good until the removal of the engine fixing bracket at 5:20. This was eventually removed by raising the engine quite a bit. In fact, I needed to undo the lefthand side engine bolts a few turns in order to gain the height. There are four bolts hidden under a cable tray. Also, when the engine has been lifted will you be able to access the bolt shown in 4:37 from the top. Regarding the removal of the cooling belt tensioner, note the screw used to hold back the tensioner in order to undo the bottom bolt. I missed this. Pull the tensioner all the way back using a 17mm spanner and insert a rod/screw (I used a drill bit) through the holes to hold the tensioner back. There is one other point to note and this is regarding the cam belt tensioner 10:31. When tensioning, there are two marks that align when tensioned correctly. I was unaware of this at the time but fortunately found some information on this. This is important. I purchased the cam belt from GSF (INA c£93 in 2024). Common socket/spanner sizes included: 19mm, 18mm, 17mm, 16mm, 13mm and 10mm. I hope you find this useful.
Watching from Australia. That's some top notch content. Will I try this myself...no. but you covered everything so well I feel like I could. Adding a TTS to my shopping list.

Haha all I can say is give it a go and get stuck in! Appreciate you checking it out.
Good job done there on that waterpump and belt ensuring the new owner gets piece of mind when it comes to the engine.

Good video mate. How long did it take you? & do you think it’s a bad idea to attempt this job for the first time? You made it looks easy 👍🏽
About a few hours. So long as you have the tools and patience it’s not to difficult to do yourself!
Excellent - just changed the pump and belt etc on my son’s 2.0tfsi thanks to your video .. that engine mount is a real pig though to manoeuvre out 😮
