I was in Belgrade a few weeks ago - loved it! Wonderful people, delicious food, beautiful scenery, interesting culture and history. I wouldn't call Belgrade the next Paris...Serbians are too authentic/down-to-earth to try to be another little France. They have a lot of great things and they want to share them, but they don't want to change their way of life just to attract tourists. I would call Belgrade the Florence Italy of Eastern Europe. Florence is beautiful, but they don't jump though hoops like Rome and Paris to attract tourists. I hope Belgrade /Serbia doesn't change and retains it's charm.
Hvala vam, that is so touching, we really appreciate your warmhearted comment. ☺️ Serbia is so beautiful and the people are gracious, generous and welcoming. @@WeierOuttaHere I 'm glad you enjoy my country and looking forward to your new videos. I travelled a lot over the world, I m maybe biased, but hospitality of Serbia is hard to beat. We are very welcoming to everyone, there is no room for nationalism or racisms. I ll give u one funny history fact. "Any slave who sets foot on Serbian lands becomes free, those slaves who are brought by someone the same as those who have escaped from elsewhere" The Sretenje Constitution, Serbia, 1835.
Wow! Thank you for the history lesson! Serbia is a great example for the rest of the world! Definitely agree with you, the Serbian hospitality is hard to beat! The honesty is also very refreshing to us. Over the last 1yr and 8 months of continuous travel, Belgrade has been a place we have felt very much at home. We love it here! 🇷🇸

Yes, my beloved Belgrade is a magnificent city! It is the city where I was born. Although I live in the United States , in one of the most desirable areas of this country, very close to New York City, Belgrade will forever hold a very special magic for me! All these sights bring memories from my early childhood , my youth and bring tears to my eyes! My deep love and and my great longing for this old city situated on the confluence of two rivers, Sava and Denube will forever live in my heart! Long live Serbia and forever our Kosovo! ❤️❤️❤️

Belgrade is the best of the best! We are constantly walking around with our heads looking up and admiring the stunning architecture. It is amazing that it is this pretty after being destroyed 40 times.
Thank you! We will be posting more videos of our day trips outside the city. Your country is beautiful from the cities to the mountains. We would like to see a lot more!
In 1980s I worked in Germany with lots of Serbs . I never met any before but they turned out to be some of best , most likeable people I ever met. I learned a lot about Serbian history / culture / food and language and have whenever I hear anyone criticising Serbia I am first to defend it ! They are passionate and very proud and , of course , they are not ALL angels !! Anyway, go there ! It's a very special place.

What a lovely presentation of Belgrade. I almost felt I am there and enjoying this beautiful city. Belgrade has something special comparing to other European cities - relaxing lifestyle still not destroyed by aggressive commercialism and beautiful weather ♥️
Great job promoting Belgrade!! The great thing about Europe(and Belgrade) is it's not the USA. No strip malls, no suburbs that force you to drive everywhere. In Belgrade, you have everything in your neighborhood. It's sad our inner cities are dangerous ghettos. I have traveled quite extensively in the USA and there are no places like Belgrade. If anyone knows of such a place let me know, I'd like to visit. Please don't say Manhattan, have you seen the prices there? Forget about it. Enjoy your stay and please do more videos.
@MKEDan Exactly, we totally agree with you! We have not had to rent a car, everything is so convenient and w/in walking distance. Looks like the cat is out of the bag, as I see more and more people discovering Beograd. Ill give it 5 yrs before its ruined by mass tourism. Possibly the best hidden gem out there!
Yes i agree, i'm from Belgrade and i can already feel some bad aspects of mass tourism although i'm happy to see foreigners seeing what Serbia and Belgrade are really first hand. On the other hand it's also positive thing since tourists force City Government to better preserve historical monuments, buildings, to better maintain infrastructure, so it's been positive so far (for example almost all museums were renovated last few years, and several new will open soon, for example New bigger Nikola Tesla Museum). I doubt Belgrade will ever get millions of tourists like big tourist centers of Europe.
Great review. Love how you started and ended the video with Serbian national anthem. Belgrade and Serbia are way under rated places to visit. Great tasting food and prices can't be beat but the best part is the open and friendly people.

It was done by request of president Woodrow Wilson, as a sign of gratitude to Serbia for being a great ally, later saving 500 American airmen during the WWII. - Serbia is the world's #3 producer and exporter of plum and raspberry. - For its size, Serbia is one of the most successful sports nations in the world. Tied in basketball World Cup titles 5-5 with USA, volleyball men's and women's world champions and undisputed tennis world champions with Novak Djokovic being world's number #1 for years. - After France, most of foreign-born NBA players come from Serbia - One of the most famous movie franchises Lord of the Rings was partly based on Serbia and its landscape. Iron Gates shown in the movies actually exist around 130 miles west of Belgrade (The Iron Gates of Danube) - "Vampire" is a Serbian word used in English dictionary - Serbian Air Force (SAF) is the only air force in the world to hold the record fighting against 19 nations in one day and the only one to shoot down a stealthy bomber. - During the WWI Serbian army walked around 1000km (600 miles) in retreat, to regroup and participate in final battles of WWI only a few months later.

It is a cool city. We agree... cat is out of the bag! We sure hope it stays as wonderful as it is. We love Beograd! ❤️
@carick235 We hope that Belgrade doesn't become over touristed too! 🤞

Very beautiful video. I got goosebumps watching it here from Germany.
@Jelena Nachname Thank you for watching! We have more videos coming! All the best!
Thank you so much for this amazing video. I am from Belgrade living in Canada and dearly miss my home town . Last fall I spent a couple of days in Paris for a first time. It also reminded me of Belgrade in terms of its architecture and cafe”s so I totally understand what you meant in the beginning. Enjoy your stay.
Thank you so much for the kind comment! Belgrade is even better in many respects. Thx for watching!!

Thank you for providing this very impressive history of your country. We were not aware of any of these facts.
If it is alright with you...we would like to post some or all of this information in coming videos and credit you with sharing this history?
We really appreciate you taking the time to share these fantastic feats.
Everyday we say to ourselves “we are so grateful and giddy to be here”. We will be very sad when our 90 days is up. We will be back to experience more of your fabulous homeland. Best to you!
@@WeierOuttaHere Yes of course, it would be my pleasure. Actually I was inspired by your amazing video, so half of the credits goes to you.
I'm so glad people are discovering my great homeland, especially Americans who are and always will be welcome, because no matter the political situation they were always on our side, and we were always on the side of the great American people.
I wish you all the best in your future adventures and whenever you decide to come back, I'm sure Serbia will greet you with open arms. God bless!
Ovo sa 500 pilota je bilo u 2. svetskom ratu.
@@petemitchell9996 We will be here until the end of November. There is so much we want to see of your homeland. We will certainly return when covid-19 isn't an issue.
We will be posting several more videos including one on the opening of St. Sava's Temple. We were told it will be open to the public in 8 days. We are so excited, can't wait! The crypt was jaw dropping so the domes and mosaics will be spectacular! All the best to you too!
I just don't like CERN. It's freaky. It is not scientific organization. it is a weapon industry. Some kind of weapon. I am not proud of Serbia's partipicipation in it... Find CERN opening ceremony. Idiots from all over the world gathered there
Thank you for showing my home country in such a beautiful light
Our pleasure! Your home country is wonderful! We will be very sad to leave. But, we will be back to explore even more. We are working on several more videos! Thx for watching!!
Welcome to Serbia.

@Teodora Djordjevic Hvala vam! We love your country, you're so welcoming and kind! 🇷🇸
Very nice video. Your editing is perfect. I live in America now and trying to convince my wife to move there with me in the next few years...maybe this video will help us get there soon:)
@Nick K Best of luck! Maybe, if she saw it on a vacation she'd fall in love like we did? Hope the video helps! Show her the market video we did too. We loved shopping at the Wonderfull green markets. Best tasting veggies, fruit meat... Thx for watching! we will be posing many more videos on Belgrade.
Belgrade is getting better and better, come and visit us!

Watch this song in spanish filmed in Serbia. Really nice!! m.facebook.com/watch/?v=2786725191380794&_rdr
@Milano Milano Thank you for watching! Many more videos to follow!
Thank you so much to visit Belgrade, and welcome back, any time.
Thank you! 😃
Thanks for the video. 😉
I often tend to forget how beautiful and interesting my home town is.
We get a lot of misrepresentations in the western media.
Belgrade has been a very important city throughout the centuries of European history, and it continues on to be.
Greetings from Belgrade
@VeljaBgd Thank you for your nice words and for watching! Belgrade is such a great city! We too are shocked that we don't see coverage on Belgrade in the states. If people in the US knew how beautiful the city is, with the cafe lifestyle they'd be visiting. Not sure you really want that to happen? American tourists... yikes! We are trying to stay away from them ourselves. haha 😆 Hvala vam!
@@WeierOuttaHere 😅
US citizens must not visit Belgrade or serbia but i assume it would be good for some people to get out of the country for a week or two. The world is much greater as north amerca. I recommend europian countries, Australia (east coast), southern asian countries, Especially south east asian including china and western part of russia. Who loves caviar, border between china and russia is the right destination.
@@marcblack8371 we’ve been traveling continuously the last 19 months. We have no intention on going back to the states right now. It’s a mess! We have always had a love affair with traveling! We just spent 6 months in SEA Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore and Vietnam. Right now we are in Zagreb waiting for covid to calm down. When things open up we’d love to return to Serbia.
@@WeierOuttaHere What do you think of Zagreb?
I used to spend a lot of time there since the war had ended.
Greetings from Belgrade 😉
Paris is thw new Belgrade
Very underrated city and people only think of violence when they think of Serbia 🇷🇸 they judge the country from past which if your not Serbian you only know what the west media wants you to know which is not good stuff
Exactly, well said! Serbia is very underrated. We love it here! Thank you for your time and comment.
Well, I've enjoyed in every minute, and as Belgradian myself, all I can say - thank you, stay here with us, you're more then welcome- 🎶 Dobro došli 🎶❤
Awe, see this is why we love it here so much! It is because of people like you. It has filled our hearts. Hvala vam! ❤️
Nice couple made amazing video!!! Bravo and thank you!
Thank you too! We appreciate your time! Hvala vam for watching!!
Fills my heart as a serb to see foreigners being amazed about my country! Thank you and I hope you visit us again.
Remember that Serbia despite it's beauty has a lot of problems mostly about corruption, government miss-management, population decline and demons of the bad side of our past still haunting us. We can only hope and be optimistic about solving these problems!
We will definitely be back! We are so happy to hear you enjoyed our video. It came from the heart. We love your country and the gracious people.
You have had to endure such terrible hardships. We wish only the best for you and Serbia 🇷🇸
I loved Serbia when I visited last September. I would trade places with any European citizen. I'd also beg Canada to annex my state right now. Trump is going to try burning down the house and he just won't go away. Our government is really mismanaged and corrupt right now.
I've been twice. Love it. Nice memories, thankyou.
@Gary Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you for watching!
E to je grad i država koju nikada niko neće uništiti
Thank you,for great video of my home city &Serbia, cheers!
So happy you enjoyed the video. 😊 The video was made with love!
We have fallen hard for your homeland! Many more videos to follow! St Sava is open to the public! This will be our next video. A video on your markets is uploading now!
Thank you so much for this wonderfull and lovely video..
Maby next time you will stay forever..
Lovely Greets
@Goran Kostandinov YES!! It is a very real possibility! Thank you for your encouraging words and for watching! It means a lot to us!
We are working on another video now about Belgrade. There’s a slight delay getting the video out. We are having to move from Zagreb in the morning. The recent 6.4 earthquake has caused extensive damage to our apartment. We will be back at it in a cpl days.
Happy New Year!
After 40 years Beograd Is in my heart..
@Trach Isailovic Beograd is an amazing city! iBeograd has stolen our hearts! 💕
